This World Model 'LingBot-World-Infinity (LingBot-World 2.0)' just released from Ant Group looks realy promising. It is an open causal world model with an Agentic harness. Most interactive world models hold together for a few minutes. Then textures smear and geometry warps. That's a video model, not a world —... and Robbyant just drew the line at the attention mask. They released LingBot-World-Infinity (LingBot-World 2.0) — a 14B open causal video world model built on Wan2.2, trained with a Mixture of Bidirectional and Autoregressive (MoBA) attention mask, then distilled into a few-step real-time generator with no post-hoc drift filtering anywhere in the stack. Here's what's actually interesting: → Pure teacher forcing overfits — as context grows, the model leans on context instead of predicting frames. Glass, mirrors, and transparent objects are so easy for us humans, but so hard for robots, because they do not behave like ordinary surfaces in a camera pipeline. LingBot-VA 2.0 from Robbyant, a video-action foundation model, throws that starting point out and trains the whole stack natively for control. And it runs closed-loop at a peak 225 Hz. Introducing WorldForge: testable world-model workflows for physical AI systems. You can think of it, loosely, as “LangChain for world models”. The problem is that “world model” has become an overloaded label. Depending on context, it can mean a video generator, a cost model, a robot policy, a JEPA-style latent predictor, etc. They share almost nothing, different inputs, runtimes, failure modes. I built WorldForge to stop pretending they're interchangeable. Front-door demo: a real Hugging Face LeRobot (LeRobot) diffusion_pusht policy combined with LeWorldModel by Lucas Maes checkpoint for scoring. Both run locally on my MacBook in the demo video. LeWM is extremely efficient (~15M params), can plan up to 48× faster, and runs on commodity hardware. WorldForge wires the loop: policy → candidates → score → select Replay happens in a local TUI today, but the same loop could drive a real robot in the world. Would love feedback from people working on world models, physical AI, robotics, ML infra, and adjacent tooling. Fully open source. Contributions very welcome. Chinese robotics company Astribot released their latest World-Action Model (WAM), Lumo-2. Technical breakdown: - based on a frozen 🥶 Qwen-3.5 4B VLM - trained in 3 progressive stages: 1. Action is aligned with latent world dynamics (an abstract representation of action). Real-world actions are anchored to physical constraints, while the latent space is guided to focus on motion-relevant changes. This bidirectional relationship makes the model physically grounded -> critical for a world model. 2. Action is aligned with vision and language. Reusing the vision backbone and action encoder from the frozen VLM, the authors add a custom vocabulary (for new actions), a semantic module, an action decoder, and an action projector. This aligns the (new) action representations with the (existing) vision-language semantic space. Most importantly: it builds a direct mapping from natural-language instructions to motor execution. 3. I am stocked to announce that I won the OpenAI Developers Codex x Mollie Hacka Worldwide Hackathon in Paris. 60+ builders, every one of us working solo, one day to ship. I built mine around a single question: who gets to own intelligence? The default answer is scary. You hand your data to a handful of labs, they train the model, they own it, and you rent back a thin slice of what your own data made possible. That is the bargain on the table today. I do not accept it. So I built Lensemble: a Tapestry like distributed training platform for JEPA based World Models. What does it enable: World Models that a community improves together, keeps sovereign, and co-owns. Two bets sit underneath it. First, the paradigm. Language models predict the next token. Powerful for text, a dead end for the physical world. A robot does not need to autocomplete sentences, it needs to predict what happens next in the world. That is what JEPA does: it learns by predicting representations instead of pixels or tokens. I am convinced world models are the most underrated paradigm in AI right now, and the closest thing we have to a ChatGPT moment for robotics. Second, the politics. Your raw trajectories never leave your machine. Each participant trains locally against a shared protocol and ships only an update, never the data. In our research lab, we are building “real-time dreaming” - the ability to generate fully playable video worlds prompted from any text or image. Our real-time, action conditioned world model (currently running internally at 16fps at 832x480p) is trained on a combination of data, including proprietary Roblox 3D avatar/world interaction data. World models are different from multiplayer engines in that they store state and memory in video latents. Roblox is multiplayer, and we are actively researching optimal ways to simultaneously store state for thousands of players, and keep them in sync with their environment. Our world model leverages database technology which stores all user interactions on Roblox in a vector format that can be used to re-render video and interaction from any camera angle. We see several immediate uses for our Roblox world model. We will use it side-by-side text, image and video prompts as a way to launch auto-generation of immersive worlds. In Roblox Studio, a creator could walk around and use prompts to “paint” a world and then convert it into a 3D representation or direct to Roblox native as a way for many people to play simultaneously. Almost nobody at scale is racing to build the denominator the orchestration layer that determines whether that intelligence can actually be deployed profitably inside a real company. The frontier model race has a 10 to 20 percent chance of producing a single dominant winner. Nadella just told the industry he does not need to be that winner. If OpenAI wins, Microsoft wins. If Anthropic wins, Microsoft wins. If MAI wins, Microsoft wins. If someone Microsoft has never heard of trains a better model in 2027, Microsoft still wins. Because the compute they train on, the harness they get plugged into, the enterprise contracts they get delivered through, and the products they sit inside are all Microsoft. He is not building the best AI model. He is building the layer that the best AI model has to run on to make anyone money. I wonder which position looks more valuable in ten years.

Google DeepMind just dropped 'Genie', an AI that can generate interactive video games. This is a huge deal. Genie is trained on 200,000 hours of unsupervised public internet gaming videos and can generate video games from a single prompt or image. But here's what's insane: Despite not being trained on action or text annotations, the foundation model can determine who the main character is and enable a user to control that character in the generated world. It does this through its Latent Action Model, Video Tokenizer, and Dynamics Model (will go more in-depth on this in tomorrow's newsletter for those interested). And for those asking, yes, it's research-only and not publicly available (here come the Google memes), and it does come with some limitations, like only currently creating games at 1FPS. But this is the worst AI will ever be. Anyone will be able to create their own entirely imagined virtual worlds soon, and that's a wild sentence to say out loud.
