Switzerland provides Ukraine with not only humanitarian aid but also long-term financial assistance, political support, and sanctions. Today, we discussed a new long-term support program. I am grateful to President Viola Amherd for agreeing that our teams will begin joint work tomorrow on preparations for the Global Peace Summit at the level of leaders in Switzerland. This summit should provide the momentum for what we've already accomplished. It should also state that the conclusion of the war can only be just, and that the restoration of international law's force must be truly comprehensive. The International Maritime Organization's Assembly adopted a resolution today in support of our efforts in the Black Sea, Ukraine's success in restoring freedom of navigation, and the work of our new grain corridor. Ukraine’s export corridor has surpassed seven million tons of cargo. This is very significant for our economy, and not only ports and agrarians, but also many other sectors. Millions of jobs in Ukraine are dependent on exports that our state can guarantee. And I am grateful to everyone all across the world who is assisting Ukraine with this. The IMO will be among those who support our efforts, and a decision has been made to evaluate the level of technical assistance required to ensure the normal functioning of the maritime corridor.

It is crucial to keep pressuring Putin’s shadow tanker fleet, which moves oil around the world, funding Russian terror and war. The UK is one of the leaders in taking action against this fleet. But sanctions should go beyond just the tankers and companies involved—they must also target the captains of these vessels and all individuals connected to them. Ukraine has already taken such measures, and we are working to expand them across our partners’ jurisdictions.
