The military is part of the state in Malaysia; hence, it must follow the KMI ideology. This means open discrimination against non-Malays. Of course they will deny it, just as the civil service denies discrimination against minorities. But stats don't lie. The entire non-Malay population in Malaysia knows this from the time they enter primary school. You can deny it all you want but you can never hide the truth. You can point to the case of Johnny Lim Eng Seng but we can always point to the exceptional case. Why don't you look at the complete data, or better still, release all the raw data?

DON'T JUDGE TOO QUICKLY — THE CROSS, THE PRISON, AND THE HIDDEN PURPOSE OF PAIN If you see someone in prison, don’t be quick to judge. Joseph was there too. If you see someone on a cross, don’t be hasty in your conclusions. Jesus was crucified among criminals, yet He was blameless—carrying not His sin, but ours. There are people today carrying burdens that aren’t even theirs. They are on symbolic crosses, paying a price so that others—families, generations, destinies—can walk free. They’ve chosen to partner with the Holy Spirit to sponsor the liberation of those coming after them. Peace is not the absence of storms, it is the divine ability to remain at rest in the midst of them. Life can feel unfair, pain can feel overwhelming. But here is a word of hope: You can find peace and rest. Even in the fire, even in the storm. And though the goal is victory, for those still in the battle, God is with you. You know it's crazy when even judge Isenhower has no idea why the person is in jail. Judge Daryl Isenhower expresses confusion as to why Mr. Butler is even in his courtroom. The judge states there are only two ways to end up in jail and in court like this and it's either due to a signed warrant or if the person commited a crime. This guy has neither. This is what the judge laid out. Lack of Legal Grounds: The judge notes that the Florida Highway Patrol brought Mr. Butler to jail, but there was no formal criminal complaint filed against him. Missing Warrant: While there was a "teletype" from authorities in Calhoun County indicating they intended to seek a warrant for a vehicle theft and pursuit, no such warrant had actually been signed by a judge. The Judge's Ruling: Judge Isenhower explains that there are only two legal ways to hold someone: a signed warrant or probable cause laid out in a sworn complaint. Since neither existed, he ordered Mr. Butler’s immediate release from jail, stating, "It should have never happened this way."

What is important to note in the case of Justice Sreedharan is three aspects: institutional integrity, perception (of independence), and the worth of law not only as a doctrine but also in practice. I feel that there has been a failure in all three counts. The executive has no role as far as the functioning of judges is concerned. The only involvement which justifies the executive's participation in the process is giving information about judges, which is otherwise not available to the court or the institution... When you are dealing with a sitting judge, no matter what your perception of the judge may be, that is part of the judicial realm. As long as there is no want of judicial integrity or honesty, or any breach of propriety by the judge concerned, it is beyond the executive to interfere... What has been released by the court suggests that Justice Sreedharan's transfer was shifted from Chhattisgarh to Allahabad due to the executive's interference. If something is prompted by the executive and a decision is subsequently re-engineered by the court, the entire process is compromised. That is not how it is supposed to work... Transparency has to fuel belief, not extinguish it, in the efficacy of the process..."
