Turkish defense giant ASELSAN says its DRONEDEF counter-drone systems — including laser weapon GÖKBERK, jammer EJDERHA, and radar tracker İHTAR — successfully neutralized multiple drones in live tests. The three systems are designed to work in tandem. İHTAR detects and tracks low-altitude FPV threats, EJDERHA disrupts swarms and fiber-optic drones through directed electromagnetic energy, and GÖKBERK physically destroys targets with a precision laser beam. We tested an FPV drone detection solution from the American startup Surtr as a part of the Test in Ukraine program. Thanks to AI-powered technology, data from acoustic and optical sensors is instantly combined into a single picture of the battlefield. As a result, the system detects and calculates the coordinates of aerial targets with minimum latency. Watch the video to see how the trials went.
