Today, Unity just shared more about their upcoming AI features. You'll be able to prompt actions into the game, query the Unity docs, create real-time dialogue, and more. We seem to be getting closer and closer to anyone being able to make games every week.

Do you think this will lead to more backlash, similar to what we see with artists vs. AI art? Or just open up a window of new creativity with more people being able to produce great games? (or both)

Definitely will lead to both backlash AND game developers pushing past their own creative limits. I think we'll see a lot of poorly thought out games as a result of this. But those that know what they're doing and leverage this tech will make even more epic games.

Not quite true Matt, everyone thinks they can be a game designer but it really does take teams with dedication and built skill sets to craft quality content

I said anyone will be able to make games... Not anyone will be able to make GOOD games. ;)

Personally I think some highly entertaining and creative games will be ushered in with ai. I believe game studios will have to start churning out good games instead of buggy bleh games for cash grabs as the community will start to gravitate towards quality & engaging

@AlexNaseGuy 100% I believe this. I think we’ll see A LOT of crap games but also some new innovative and addictive concepts from indie developers who didn’t previously have the resources. I also think big studios can leverage the tech to speed up development of AAA stuff.
