When you are planning to make footpaths on Datta Mandir Road ? in 2050 ? Road construction is going on since 2021 and still its not ended , its hardly 1.5Kms stretch, how much money you have taken as bribe ? #wakad

Thank you for sharing this update. I hope these do not take the time which has been taken for widening of the Wakad Datta Mandir Road. Also the Punewale underpass is a big bottle neck. Is that being coveted by the announcement which Shri Nitin Gadkari made a few days back?

Though I appreciate your efforts in approving new DP roads, but I don’t think these roads are sufficient to cater traffic in Tathawade & Punawale. Many important roads mentioned in screenshots are pending for a decade now. Please prioritise them as well

Hello Sir, could you please let us know the detailed plan for punawale. One of the critical road would be #punawale to #hinjewadi . What is your plan for that road ?

Appreciate this, what about Bhumkar chowk expansion? Current 2 lane underpass is not sufficient and it has to be expanded to min 4 lane.

Bengaluru's Biggest Monsoon Tradition: Flooded Roads and Empty Promises This is Bengaluru. Looking at these visuals, one would think it is a swimming pool, not one of the city's major roads. The irony is that despite endless claims of development, smart infrastructure, and rapid urban growth, the same roads turn into waterlogged stretches every single time it rains. Just look at the water level. Vehicles are struggling to move, commuters are stranded, and residents are forced to wade through flooded roads. This is not an isolated incident or a one-time problem. It has become a recurring story across Bengaluru whenever there is moderate or heavy rainfall. The bigger question is: where are taxpayers' hard-earned money and infrastructure funds going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, and numerous other charges with the expectation of basic civic amenities. Yet year after year, the city continues to witness the same drainage failures, poor road planning, and lack of accountability.Authorities issue promises after every monsoon, conduct inspections, and announce new projects, but the ground reality remains unchanged. If Bengaluru is truly India's technology capital, why are its residents still battling flooded roads every rainy season? Development cannot be measured by announcements and advertisements alone it must be reflected in the quality of infrastructure that citizens use every day.Until authorities fix the root causes of poor drainage, unplanned construction, and inadequate road infrastructure, Bengaluru's roads will continue to resemble swimming pools rather than the modern urban network that residents deserve. #bangalore #bengaluru #varthur #whitefield #sarjapur #bengalururains Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Greater Bengaluru Authority BBMP_SWM Cell bbmpcommissioner ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. Major Project Update: Thane Coastal Road hits fast forward In just eight months since construction began, Thane Coastal Road-1 has crossed a major milestone, with over 50% of the foundation work for the elevated viaduct now complete and pier cap and I-girder erection progressing rapidly. 👉 The 13.45 km, six-lane, access-controlled greenfield corridor is being built using cutting-edge engineering. For the first time in India, a greenfield road project is using a single-pile, single-pier system with monopile foundations on land. 👉 Designed as a strategic freight corridor, the project will decongest Ghodbunder Road and improve connectivity between NH-160 (Mumbai–Nashik Highway) and Gaimukh along the Thane Creek coastline, with major stretches on viaducts and bridges to safeguard the sensitive mangrove ecosystem. 👉 At Gaimukh, the road will directly connect with the upcoming Gaimukh–Fountain Hotel Tunnel, enabling seamless Thane–Bhayander connectivity. Together, these projects will significantly decongest Ghodbunder Road, transform urban mobility in Thane, and strengthen freight movement towards Wadhawan Port, JNPT, South Maharashtra, and Karnataka. 👉 The corridor will also integrate with key future infrastructure projects including the Thane Ring Metro, Thane Coastal Road-2, the Saket–Amane Elevated Corridor, and the Kasarvadavali–Kharbhav Road, cementing its role as a critical backbone of the region’s next-generation transport network. #ThaneCoastalRoad #MMRDA #InfrastructureIndia #ReimaginingMMR #TransformingMMR #UrbanMobility #BuildingTheFuture #MumbaiMetropolitanRegion #MegaProjects #Maharashtra #TransportInfrastructure #FastForward CMO Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee MAHARASHTRA DGIPR PIB India Infra News India (INI) Indian Tech & Infra Thane Municipal Corporation - ठाणे महानगरपालिका

Pune’s new Aundh–Sangvi bridge, inaugurated in October 2024 at a cost of over ₹30 crore, has quickly turned into a symbol of poor planning. Barely a year later, it has been shut again for a ₹19-crore “beautification” project — even though hardly anyone uses it. Built right beside two existing bridges, the new structure never attracted commuters because it lacks a proper entry point. Only about 150 vehicles use it daily, while most motorists continue taking older routes to avoid confusion and wrong-way traffic. Residents across Aundh, Sangvi, Bopodi and Dapodi are questioning why money is being spent on cosmetic upgrades when basic needs — pothole-free roads, traffic signals, police patrolling, CCTVs and signage — remain unmet. They argue that the ₹19 crore could have addressed genuine safety and traffic issues instead. With minimal traffic, the bridge has instead become a site for late-night stunts, gatherings and nuisance activities. Locals say what’s needed is proper surveillance and a functional entry-exit design, not beautification. The project, a joint PMC–PCMC effort, was meant to ease congestion on Aundh Road. But flawed planning and alignment have rendered it nearly useless, even after cutting trees and spending crores. Most commuters still prefer the older bridges and Bhau Patil Road. In the end, the underused bridge has become a costly reminder of misaligned priorities: Pune doesn’t need aesthetic makeovers — it needs thoughtful, practical urban planning. #PuneNews #AundhSangviBridge #UrbanPlanningFail #PMC #PCMC #PuneTraffic #InfrastructureIssues #PublicMoneyWasted #CityDevelopment #PuneUpdates #CivicIssues #TaxpayerMoney #UrbanDesign #PuneInfrastructure #AccountabilityMatters

IPERU–ILISHAN ROAD ENTERS FINAL ASPHALTING STAGE The reconstruction and dualisation of the Iperu–Ilishan Road has reached a major milestone, with binder and wearing course asphalt now being laid across sections of the corridor, marking the project’s entry into its final stage. This 5.3-kilometre strategic road, which links Iperu to Ilishan and serves as a critical connection to the Gateway International Airport and the Sagamu–Benin Expressway, has progressed beyond earthworks, extensive drainage construction, and stone-base layers. With active asphalt works ongoing, the road is visibly taking its final shape. We note the steady pace of work delivered so far, including completed drainage systems and stabilised base courses that provide a strong foundation for long-term durability. Upon completion, this road will significantly improve mobility, enhance safety, reduce travel time, and stimulate commercial activities for communities along the corridor and airport-bound commuters. With the completion of this road and the Sagamu–Sapade Road, the Gateway International Airport will become one of the most easily accessible airports in Nigeria, seamlessly connected from the North, South, East, and West. This integrated road network is central to our plan to position Ogun State as a major logistics, aviation, and investment hub. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality, durable road that meets top engineering standards and supports our broader agenda of strengthening infrastructure and accelerating economic development across Ogun State. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #InfrastructureDevelopment #GatewayInternationalAirport #OgunState #DapoAbiodun

🆘🚨🌲🌳🌴Save Ganeshkhind Road’s Heritage Trees — Stop the New Road Widening 🌲🌳🌴🆘🚨 For the second time in 2 years, Pune is watching the same shadow creep over #Ganeshkhind Road. Over 500 mature and heritage trees - banyans, tamarinds, peepals and old-growth giants are again under threat because of a fresh push to widen the road from 36 m to 45 m. These trees are not “obstacles.” They are living infrastructure. They cool our city, anchor its biodiversity, protect its micro-climate, and hold centuries of history in their roots. Mature trees cannot be “replaced” by saplings, and transplanting them has already proven to be fatal in earlier phases across Pune. The December 2023 court directions had clearly asked authorities to follow a sustainable mobility plan and avoid unnecessary tree felling. Yet the same project is being revived, risking another wave of irreversible ecological damage. Instead of widening roads for more private vehicles, Pune needs the opposite: • Better metro ridership, • Reliable bus frequency, • Safe footpaths and cycling tracks, • Efficient last-mile connectivity, • And maintainance of the existing road and flyover and Metro Line 3 infrastructure. We, the citizens, demand: 🍀Immediate cancellation of the proposed Phase-2 road widening on Ganeshkhind Road. Adding One more lane has never solved traffic issue anywhere in the world! 🍀NO FELLING AND TRANSPLANTING OF MATURE AND HERITAGE TREES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES 🍀A shift in priority toward public transport and people-friendly mobility, not private-vehicle expansion. 🍀Full transparency: publish tree surveys, traffic studies, EIAs, and alternative designs publicly. 🍀Adherence to court directives, the Maharashtra Tree Act, and scientific, climate-sensitive planning #SaveGKTreee #SaveTreesOfPune #NoMoreRoads #Pune #SaveHeritageTrees
