Unity shipped NEW official plugin for AI agents. They released it for Claude Code, but of course I tested it with Codex CLI. GPT-6 is better now😁 Setup got quicker: it's on the Codex marketplace too, one command to hook up. You still install the package with the CLI inside Unity, the simplification is on the agent side. I've been on a custom Unity MCP for months, so I wanted to see if the official become better. It did improved. My test setup: Unity MCP + Blender MCP together. The agent generated models, rigged and animated them in Blender, then wired everything into Unity. For rigs and animations this is flat out the best setup I've tried: just give it Blender via MCP! Watching GPT-6 autotest the game is something else. It writes autotests fast, they catch real bugs, and on my recording it's blasting through test runs like a maniac. 27 skills right now, and the Unity team says more updates are coming. If you want to build your game with AI today, pick Unity. Everything is simply faster. Unreal works too, but it's a much harder road. Source - Install:

We added a device tool bar to the Codex in-app browser, so it's easier to build and test responsive apps! Now, you can have Codex test your app in different dimensions, so it can fix bugs & improve UI for every device. Just click the 3 dots on the right of the URL bar to use it! As part of this change, we also: - improved the speed of browser use (~30% in my vibe testing) - tightened the animation of the cursor - added a way to hide the composer in full screen mode - fixed a few bugs for browser use in Windows Oliver Tepman and John Nastos cooked on this one! WOW! I'm so excited about this. OpenAI Developers said Codex was good at Computer Use, but I wasn't prepared for this. For the last two weeks I've been working on a Computer Use skill to work with Linux. And while I had some success, it was a pretty frustrating experience. That is...until the breakthrough. Using accessibility tools, Codex can now control my entire computer, not just the browser. There are limits to this, of course, but what a time to be alive. This is crazy, I can talk to OpenAI's realtime API, and it'll respond back with voice, and then help call Codex to help me code! Got curious about Codex and its realtime integration, and found codex's feature flag `realtime_conversation` integrated for the codex app-server. How it works: - launch codex app-server with realtime - connect a client to realtime through WebRTC voice connection - Codex app-server is also attached on the side - talk to realtime - realtime decides whether coding is needed, and responds back with events - Codex app-server takes these events and runs codex agent turns - codex writes code like your codex cli exp Keep in mind OpenAI hasn't released this officially, they're still actively working on it, I just created a fork. This is a completely new UX than the usual chat interface for agentic coding. For example, when the agent responds back in voice, it's actually faster for me to read the response, and I don't actually find voice response that useful unless it does so in the background. But image realtime working in the background, you can talk to it, realtime keeps track of the different agents working on your tasks and your status. More to come on demo side, i'll make a more polished version and include voice, but thought this was cool to share. You can see in the responses the distinction between my voice input, realtime response, and realtime calling Codex to do work!

Well it wasn't easy, but I finally got subgraphs working (mostly). Ended up rewriting the entire data-model to treat subgraphs as a first-class data structure and then everything clicked into place. One of the coolest things is you can take a import a complete TSL program with embedded functions and it will parse everything out into subgraphs and preserve all the I/O naming. Most of the core features I wanted to get done for the beta are almost complete. The amount of edge cases is enormous though so I'm going to spend a significant amount of time building out a robust integration test suite. Already sitting at around 1200 test cases! Sign up for the waitlist to get notified when the beta goes live! 👉🏻
