Last night, the Russian army continued using attack drones against Ukraine. A total of 74 drones were launched, including 54 Shaheds. Kharkiv was deliberately targeted – at least 14 drones. Unfortunately, there were hits. There are wounded, including three children. All are receiving the necessary assistance. There were also strikes on the Odesa and Sumy regions. Another round of deliberate strikes and damage to energy facilities – an FPV drone hit a substation in the Sumy region, and in Nikopol, Dnipro region, a power line was damaged by artillery fire. Nearly 4,000 consumers in two regions were left without electricity due to these strikes. Russian aerial bomb attacks also continue – just in the Sumy region, and just from yesterday to this morning, the Russians used nearly 50 guided aerial bombs. This systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow despises the diplomatic efforts of partners. Putin does not even want to ensure a partial ceasefire. What’s needed is new and tangible pressure on Russia to put this war on a path toward ending. We should not wait until April 11, when it will be a month since Russia said “no” to the American proposal for a ceasefire. Action must be taken as soon as possible. We are ready to work with all our partners in the U.S., Europe, and around the world in the most constructive way to achieve this much-needed result—a dignified and lasting peace.

Yesterday, at the meeting in Istanbul, the proposal for an immediate and full ceasefire was reiterated to the Russian side. In response, Russian drones struck residential buildings and the Pryvoz market in Odesa, apartment blocks in Cherkasy, energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, a university gym in Zaporizhzhia. Donetsk, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were all under strikes as well. In total, there were 103 attack drones, mostly “Shaheds,” and four missiles. Every night, Russia chooses cities and communities to target with its strikes. Tragically, three people were killed in the Kharkiv region. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. More than ten others were injured, including a nine-year-old child in Cherkasy. Russia continues its terror and obstructs diplomacy, which is why it deserves full-scale sanctions responses, as well as our strikes on their logistics, their military bases, and their military production facilities. We will make every effort to ensure that diplomacy works. But it is Russia that must end this war — the war it started itself.

It’s incredible just how much more effective these glide bombs are compared to traditional artillery. If it previously took Russia months to obliterate a village with sustained artillery strikes, now it can be done in just a few days with precision-guided bombs. Not to mention that it’s also much safer than having Russian troops risk their lives bringing artillery pieces within range of Ukrainian FPV drones. The Russian military has significantly increased the number of guided glide bombs dropped on Ukrainian positions. Russian jets are now dropping an average of up to 250 glide bombs every single day! I’ve said it multiple times: the longer Zelensky delays Ukraine’s unconditional surrender, the more certain the total destruction of every frontline region becomes.

The primary targets of these strikes are infrastructure that keeps everyday life going. There was another attack today as well – more than 240 drones and 5 ballistic missiles – causing damage in seven regions. Tragically, people were killed in Slovyansk and in the Chernihiv region. My condolences to the families and loved ones. We continue working with our partners to ensure that, in response to these attacks, our defenses grow stronger. This week, 15 of our regions have been targeted by Russian strikes. There have been almost daily attacks on Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy. The Russians are using various types of weapons to strike people, ordinary residential buildings, and our civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, there are casualties from this terror almost every day. And the threat of these Russian attacks remains constant. Over the course of this past week alone, there were around 1,400 attack drones, almost 1,500 guided aerial bombs, and 19 missiles of various types, including ballistic ones. Strengthening air defense – primarily anti-ballistic protection – expanding cooperation within the Drone Deal format, and increasing pressure on the aggressor are key priorities. Sanctions on Russia and its partners over this war must be enforced where they will be felt most. We need strong and rapid steps that will force Russia to move toward ending this war. Everything that strengthens Ukraine helps bring peace closer. I thank everyone who is helping us.

Seven people are currently being treated in hospitals in Dnipro after a Russian attack on the city. Five people have been hospitalized in Odesa, two of them in critical condition. One person was wounded in the Kharkiv region. Dozens of people have been affected by Russian strikes today. All are receiving the necessary assistance. Last night alone, Russia launched more than 200 drones against Ukraine, most of them “shaheds,” and there were also ballistic missiles. Since this morning, there have been around thirty more attack drones. Strikes targeted various cities. In the Mykolaiv region, energy grid facilities were attacked, and thousands of families were left without electricity. In Odesa, residential buildings were hit. In Dnipro, a bus was destroyed, and a residential building, a shop, and passenger cars were damaged. There has also been damage from the attack in Zaporizhzhia. It is important that our partners do not forget – this war continues every day, and security is needed every day. Russia must end this war, and only pressure can ensure that. Pressure must not decrease, and sanctions must work. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine and Ukrainians.

First responders have also been operating in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Overall, last night the Russians launched more than 170 drones against Ukraine, at least half of them “shaheds.” And throughout this entire week, the Russians launched nearly 1,000 attack drones, almost 980 guided aerial bombs, and 36 missiles of various types against our people. Every night requires multi-component air defense – air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, interceptor drones. We are actively working with partners on each component to reinforce Ukraine’s protection. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly bolster defense of our skies, our resilience, and our diplomacy. Glory to Ukraine!

Emergency response operations are currently underway in Dnipro at the site of a Russian missile strike. Preliminary reports indicate it was a ballistic missile. Unfortunately, one person was killed — my condolences to their family and loved ones. As of now, five others have been reported injured. All are receiving medical assistance. Earlier today, there was an air raid alert in Kyiv due to an attack drone. Many regions have reported Russian strikes and shelling. In particular, Nikopol was hit by five Russian FPV drones — a completely deliberate strike on the city, near a food market, targeting civilians. Twelve people were injured, including one child. There were also Russian attacks on Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions. Sumy region continues to suffer constant attacks by guided aerial bombs. And all of this is happening nearly a month after the United States proposed a full ceasefire. Russia is clearly ignoring diplomacy and using its contacts with the world solely to serve its own interests — not to end the war. What’s needed now is tactics of pressure — pressure on Russia to end the terror and the war. I thank everyone around the world who is helping us in this effort.

There are injured people, destroyed homes and infrastructure. ◾️Dnipropetrovsk region: Russia attacked three districts of the region more than 20 times using drones, artillery, and missiles. Six injured. Residential buildings, private homes and infrastructure were damaged. ◾️Kharkiv region: Three people injured, a large fire erupted. Rescuers worked in extremely difficult conditions under the threat of further strikes to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings. Russia also attacked railway infrastructure in Kharkiv region, damaging a train, depot repair shops, overhead lines, power supplies, and the station building. There were no casualties, thankfully, and restoration work is already underway.
