By opposing this bill, what has Congress actually achieved? * They have delayed the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill, betraying women. * By opposing the 50% proportional seat increase, they have enabled the next delimitation to be done on the 2027 Census, which will redistribute the existing 543 seats and will gravely compromise the less populous southern states. Congress and DMK will have a lot to pay for. Shame on them!

The Women's Reservation Bill is actually a Purush Bachao Yojna through which Parliament will be converted into a Family Club! If the government is serious about Women Reservation, give the Women 33% Reservation from the exsisting 543 MPs, why Delimitation! Even the 50% increase in seats for all states is a serious disadvantage to Southern States. Let me explain : Parliament runs on absolute numbers not percentage, so a 50% increase in seats for UP is 80+40 = 120 A 50% increase for Tamil Nadu is 39+20= 59! Today the difference in MPs between UP & TN is 80-39= 41, after Delimitation it will become 120-59= 61!

Modi can follow Vajpayee method and not increase Lok Sabha seats for 25years - CM Revanth Reddy at Fair Delimitation meeting Do delimitation taking state as unit and conduct it within the state, change boundaries based on latest census. Increase SC ST and 33% women seats Today south has 130seats of 540seats which is 24%. I demand to increase it by 33% if they want to do delimitation at any cost. The Delimitation Bill is a fundamental attack on India’s federal structure. In 2023, Parliament passed a Bill ensuring 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies. At that time, Lok Sabha LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi, Rajya Sabha LoP Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP Chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhi ji, and other opposition leaders clearly asked the government to implement it in the 2024 elections. Why was the 33 percent reservation for women not implemented in the 2024 elections? We insisted that women’s reservation should be implemented in 2024, but the government introduced a Bill and said it would be implemented only after the Census, and the Census only after delimitation. Now you are saying that delimitation and the Census are not possible before 2029. 👉 The Modi government’s intention is to hijack constitutional protections. 👉 The Modi government knows the mindset of the Indian people, and it is scared of the 2029 elections.
