@JonathonLuiten Amazing!! Would be curious to see on a sample of 3d image renders of various rooms of a house… can we tour the home that way?

@JonathonLuiten Yes! You could stitch rooms together, i.e. track which room the viewer is, only feed images of that room to the model and transition between rooms as the user moves. Seems like just a bit of engineering on top of what we have already.

@JonathonLuiten thanks! the training data didn't include any humans so I wouldn't expect the model to do well with such inputs :/

RIP to everyone who spent years learning 3D in Blender 💀 Hi3D just released an open-source model that turns any object from a photo into a full 3D model. It's trained on 2 million 3D assets, and in their technical report 90% of its models pass 3D-print slicing. Just generate the base from a photo, refine the details with Opus 5.5 and you're done. The barrier to 3D just disappeared, you can find more details in the article below:

This is a multi-modal world model that you can use for a bunch of things: • To generate new worlds • To reconstruct worlds • To simulate 3D interactive worlds from a prompt, images, or a video You can edit the 3D outputs in Unity and Unreal Engine (they export as meshes, 3DGS files, and point clouds). You can also generate 3D characters in the world and walk around. Pretty fun stuff!
