We've redesigned Claude Code on desktop. You can now run multiple Claude sessions side by side from one window, with a new sidebar to manage them all.

The redesign also adds an integrated terminal, file editing, HTML and PDF preview, and a faster diff viewer, all in a drag-and-drop layout you can arrange to your preference. Your CLI plugins work exactly as they do on the command line.

So basically, you are saying that now users will reach the limit earlier and multiple projects will get stuck in the middle of it.

Gotta be honest I find all the different Claude options super confusing. I never know whether to start at the website, in the app, or in the Chrome extension. They all seem to do things differently. Some have access to skills, some don't. They don't share the same conversations. And now here is another level of difficulty to get my head around. As well as all the updates every other model I'm using is rolling out. When did product design lose sight of simplicity?

strangely enough, it appears there was an update that JUST came out that was NOT this update? Could be mistaken but the Mac Claude 1.2581.0 version doesn't appear to have the updates shown here, but also just came out in the past few minutes?

The old desktop app was so laggy I moved to the CLI entirely. Never went back. Glad this one is getting real attention.
