Rory gets 177mph ball speed on his first swing with a driver that has a head smaller than the golf ball. People think PGA tour players are not ripping at it with a smaller headed driver are delusional. They are very very very good at hitting the center of the face.

Bryson DeChambeau says rivalries are good for the game of golf and he’d love to go up against Rory McIlroy this week at the Ryder Cup: “Look, I think rivalries are good gore the game of golf, and albeit I have the ultimate respect for Rory as a player. It's going to be fun to go up against him this week, whether it's against him directly or through other players. I think it going to be a fun challenge this week. “Would I love to go up against him? Yeah. It would be a lot of fun. Is it going to happen? It's not likely. I mean, maybe once. You never know. I don't know if there's planning behind the scenes or whatnot. But look, he's a fierce competitor, a great competitor, but one that I would love the opportunity to play against this week.” Who would like to see these two go head to head and who do you think would win?

Senegal President: I know you are a tremendous golf player. Golf requires concentration and precision, qualities that also make for a great leader. So, perhaps an investment could be made in a golf course in Senegal.. that would be an opportunity for you to show off your skills on the golf course.

After Rory McIlroy’s comments about Bryson DeChambeau at The Open, Scottie Scheffler was asked ahead of the 3M Open if he thinks rivalries are good for golf: “I think golf's different in a sense of a lot of other sports because my biggest rival week in and week out is the golf course that we're playing. I mean, I could never stop somebody from doing anything in golf. I felt like when I played basketball there would always be rivalries in basketball because you're going to play defense against a person and that is much more personal in a sense like because I'm actively trying to stop -- like if you and I were going to go out and play one-on-one, like it would turn into a rivalry because I'm actively trying to stop what you're doing, but in golf, we're always competing against ourselves on the golf course. “I've never been a big fan of personal jabs. I don't think that rivalry is a big thing in golf just because, like I said, my biggest rivalry week in and week out is the golf course.” PGA Tour 3M Open

Cocchiarella: If you had a little thumb on the scale, would you want to see AIPAC money or foreign lobby money be something that we say as a party, “This is not going to be in our 2028 presidential primary?” Newsom: I don’t know that it’s going to be in 2028. I don’t know anyone’s touching any of those resources. Cocchiarella: But you’d want to see that done away with? Newsom: Of course…

This truck driver shares his frustration with left lane campers. He grumbles that this kind of driving behavior is "typical" for Oregon drivers. Although I doubt he believes it's simply a problem only in Oregon, it begs the question - are there some states, cities and places where there are more bad drivers? Or do you think it’s simply a surge in bad drivers who don’t give a damn about the cars around them?

So I did this crazy thing where I actually went back and listened to the segment of Pete Sweeney on 810. Here’s his full 5 minutes on the Josh Simmons topic. “Am I confident that he plays week 1? No. At this stage, I don’t think he will. But it isn’t ruled out. And I think that at least on the moves the Chiefs have made they at least think he’ll be back by week 3 or you would put that player on IR. And so based upon what we’ve seen, I think it’ll be Khalil Benson at LT and Jaylon Moore at RT … obviously it isn’t ideal but in this particular one, I’d be surprised if Simmons started week 1 and of course I could be proven wrong, too, right? I just think that’s where the Chiefs are at this stage.” When asked if there’s a chance he practices this week: “Yeah, of course. We see it all the time. But it makes it more difficult when the team isn’t abundantly clear what’s happening. You could see a limited practice and he gets on the field and tries and you’re kind of unsure…”

Asked Rory if playing Philly Cricket in the rain and wind on Friday, when the ball wasn't going as far, gave him a better sense of how the golf course was meant to be played. "If the golf ball just went a little shorter, this course would be awesome."

This would be a huge undertaking for a DIY project, the most expensive part of it would be the glass, having a Koi pond would be amazing, if I had the space I don’t think I would be able to resist. Could you see yourself putting a Koi pond in your living space ?

Rory McIlroy on Thursday's course setup: "The greens are pretty slow and quite receptive. I think they need to be at this point. It's a challenging golf course already, and you put 30-mile-an-hour winds on top of it, it tests the best players in the world pretty well. "I think they were prudent with the course setup, and they made sure to -- I think especially with starting with 156 the first two days, you just want to get everyone around without too much issue. They've set the course up for that, at least today."

Rory McIlroy was asked ahead of The Open if he agrees with the idea that “Trackman Golfers” don’t do well at Opens: “No, I wouldn't totally agree with that. I think that TrackMan or any launch monitor, it's a very useful tool. I think you can get too into the numbers, which then can be detrimental. I think, yeah, TrackMan can be very useful. It can be -- I think it can actually help you with the feel of your golf swing at times. “If you see a certain number on TrackMan, it gives you a feeling of what you need to do, so if you can sort of match up the number you see on the screen with a feel that you have in your golf swing, I actually think you can become more feel-based. “I use TrackMan a lot in season because I feel like it's hard to work on technical positions when you're just trying to manage your pattern through the course of the season. I use TrackMan where it's like, okay, my path's getting a little to the right, I've just got to feel like I swing more left. Or my face angle is getting a bit left and I've got to feel like I hold it a bit more square through impact, whatever it is. “To me, I actually feel like it's a great tool to use when your swing gets off a bit and you can sort of train your feels back into where they need to be.” Rory McIlroy The Open LKD
