What would you do in this situation? 😵

Mom actually did the right thing here. They say “it takes two to tantrum”. Mom didn't give her want she was demanding, and didn’t comfort her. She simply didn't acknowledge, and immediately left the store.

One of my daughters did something similar to me when she was 4 after spending a couple of days with my mother and getting everything she asked for. 😳 I apologized to the staff, left everything, and carried her out of the store while she was kicking and screaming. After that incident, she wasn't allowed to come out with me again until she proved that she had learned to behave appropriately. If she made it difficult to get ready in the morning, I didn't offer a second chance, and she stayed home. If she misbehaved in the car, we returned home. If she demanded or whined in a store, we left immediately. This continued for about a week until she learned how to be civil. She behaved like an angel after that week.

All it takes is this from a father.

Accurate. 😄

Exactly what mom did. Say let’s go, and start walking. It’s the age, and that’s how you are supposed to respond. It shuts them up.

I mean, at least give her credit for not reacting in any way, dealing with the kid right there would have been cringe

That butt would be 2 sizes smaller and she would still be blowing soap bubbles for 2 weeks.

That kid is way too old to acting like that!!

That lady handled that situation beautifully! Ignore the brat as long as she’s not hurting herself!

Good God. Pick her up and leave the store without whatever it was that she was screaming about that she wanted.
