However, after looking there IS a solution. There is a third party GitHub that gives instructions on how to create you're own Google Search Console MCP:

Last week, I posted a video about creating an MCP for Google Analytics. Since then, I got a lot of messages asking about how to set up an MCP for Search Console as well. I wanted to perform some research to see if it was possible:

Once again, this IS NOT AN OFFICIAL MCP. The only official one is for Google Analytics 4. However, it does appear to be a viable of getting an MCP for you Search Console account:

If you don’t feel like setting all this up, you can use Refresh Agent which will do the auth for you. You can either just use the built in agent, or grab an api key and use it with your own Claude Code:

1. Open up Google Cloud Console and create you're own project or use an existing one:

Now in full transparency, I used Claude Code to set up a lot of this which feels like cheating at this point. However, with that in mind there's a few key things you have to do to set it up.

2. Enable the Google Search Console API

Add a "Scope" with this URL:

From there I pointed Claude Code to the GitHub repo and let it do the rest. It was able to find the JSON file and verify the connection.

At first I thought, you could do it through the Google Analytics MCP by connecting your GA4 + Search Console data. Unfortunately, it turns out you're not able to actually extract this data from the Google Analytics 4 API with a connection.

From there, I was able to have AI answer any question about my Search Console. For starters, here it pulled the top queries from the Nectiv site.

I also had it run through those top queries and analyze my overall SEO strategy. It was able to cluster them and find out which content types are working.

Finally, create a new OAuth. You'll need to create a "Desktop App" and download the client secrets JSON file.

Way easier to use SE Ranking MCP:

thasnk for sahring, does it work with Codex?

This is awesome, thanks for sharing. Any downsides or anything it doesn't do from first impression?

I've been using this API for a while now. For the MCP part, is Claude Code able to access Search Console and make changes?

I just assigned it a service account - much more efficient than mcp

Just use the search console API?

youve literally sent my mind whirring on how many DIY MCPs we could build and integrate with claude.

Finally grounding for claude SEO plans that isn't ahrefs's enterprise level api (love them tho)

Wow! I was looking for something similar. Thanks for sharing 🙏

mcp is basically the missing link between ai tools and your real data. seo data, crm data, analytics - instead of copy-pasting reports into claude, just connect it directly. this is what turns ai from "helpful assistant" into "actual team member."

That's exactly what we've built with ! It automatically connects to your Google search console + external market data. You can now do 100% of your SEO in a single chat. You can try it now for free 👇

@grok can you make a master document of all these steps and the process?

This is huge, thanks for sharing @chris_nectiv
