The driver of the car is at fault… he supposed to have indicated long before he got to his stop and move closer to the lane before his turn and then check mirrors and blind spot before turning his steering .

The car didn't indicate and didn't use his side mirror, the driver was at fault. The bike was not trying to overtake. That's a narrow road, hence bikes ride on the right as observed, and he was not even speeding to overtake, it was a normal ride. The car suddenly turned.

Firstly, if the driver no trafficate is at fault when you trafficate to park you should check your side mirrors Secondly, if he trafficate and the rider is ignorant of it then the rider is at fault

Nigeria driving rules: the car is at fault. (He should make use of his side mirrors when navigating). Universal Driving rules : both of them are at fault. (The bike is not supposed to overtake from the passenger sides. The driver is supposed to switch on his navigation lights).

Both of them… From this video, I cannot see the car’s indicator turning to the right. Also, the driver made a quick turn to the right without any caution. So, it seemed deliberate like he knew what he was doing. Because, normally, when making such turn, you do it slowly. Then the bike man trying to overtake from the right, which is the blind side of the driver is wrong. And even if he should, he is meant to horn before trying to overtake, and when he sees the car getting too close, he ought to slow down and not try to speed up. So, he just took unnecessary risks that could have been avoided because it is obvious the car was not ready to give you way, which is the car’s right in the first place.

For those saying the bike is at fault, let’s replace the bike with a truck, would the driver have done the same thing. Trafficating doesn’t necessarily mean right of way, you check your mirror, trafficate and move when it is safe to do so
