Why did she walk in front of him to purposely get hit?

Why couldn't the skater just wait an extra 1-2 minutes until the coast was clear? If he botched the trick and the skateboard hits the bystanders then what?

The angry Karen. She quickly changed direction directly into his path which created the contact. You could also argue that he could have waited a few seconds as well. It did look like he was attempting to help her up, but she was having none of that.
