DOGE EXPOSED WHAT USAID WAS REALLY FUNDING Rep. Ro Khanna is accusing Elon Musk and DOGE of being responsible for the mass murder of children. But DOGE’s findings reveal the real story of the scale of government spending and corruption that had been hidden from American taxpayers. Billions of taxpayer dollars were flowing into programs around the world, including efforts to influence foreign governments, fund controversial social initiatives overseas, and organizations with ties to extremist and terrorist groups. The investigation also highlighted U.S. taxpayer money going to the Taliban in Afghanistan, as well as projects in Yemen and Syria. USAID, with roughly 10,000 employees and an annual budget of about $40 billion, was found to have funded projects ranging from electric vehicles in Vietnam, transgender clinics in India and Guatemala, LGBTQ advocacy programs in Serbia, Jamaica, North Macedonia, and Nepal, a new Sesame Street program in Iraq, anti-misinformation campaigns in Kazakhstan, media projects in Cuba and Sri Lanka, disability inclusion programs in Belarus, and other overseas initiatives. DOGE also exposed that hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars were directed to radical organizations around the world, including funds that reached groups aligned with foreign terrorist organizations, as well as food assistance linked to the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front. These findings expose USAID as a government-run money laundering operation that diverted taxpayer dollars into foreign political agendas and organizations far removed from America’s interests. These meetings are a joke. All we get is recycled talking points, excuses, and a front-row seat to watch how our tax dollars are being wasted. That's it. Nothing discussed in these meetings is focused on helping the taxpaying citizens of Chicago. Nothing. They give the appearance that they're fighting for you. They give the appearance that they're discussing solutions to improve your life. But when you sit through these meetings and watch what actually happens, you see the truth. The citizens come last. The agenda comes first. I've attended meeting after meeting at City Hall, Cook County, CPS, and other government bodies. The more you watch, the more you realize how disconnected these elected officials are from the people paying the bills. As Mayor, I will change that. My administration will launch forensic audits of city departments, contracts, grants, and taxpayer-funded programs. We will identify waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption and make the findings public. Every department receiving taxpayer dollars will be required to show results and public reports. Failed programs will no longer receive money. I will create a Chicago DOGE Office dedicated to rooting out wasteful spending and ensuring taxpayer money is spent on public safety, neighborhood investment, infrastructure, economic development, and services that benefit Chicago citizens. My administration will show transparent spending reports so citizens can see where their money is going. No more political favors, who you know, or insider deals. Chicagoans deserve accountability, transparency, and leadership that puts citizens first. The grift is over. The people are paying attention now. Every elected official is on notice.
