No, those robots are not practical and inefficient from a design stand point. You wouldn't design a bipedal robot with arms, , and a head to pull stuff. Robots will be everywhere but won't look like that unless they are fulfilling a specific human-facing function.

I would like to remind all you folks that ALL the shit that happened in the Matrix movies only happened because a butler robot was about to get replaced for being an outdated model, and he ended up killing his owner for "not wanting to die."
