Hospital support across the strip is a priority to the Sameer Project, support here: As we all saw today Nasser hospital was bombed targeting medical staff, patients, journalists and civil defense workers. The military occupation continues to break international law with no impunity. On August 9th, the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project team distributed 450 meals of pastries to the patients and staff in Al Helou hospital in Gaza City. Each meal included 6 pieces with the following stuffing: cheese, salsa, potatoes, chocolate, thyme and daqqa (Palestinian spices). The cost of each meal was $16.30 with 10% commission so the total for the 450 meals was $7,335. To continue hospital support we need your support. We recently found a kitchen running and serving potatoes and eggplants with tahini so we immediately purchased the whole amount, donate: We were so happy to find a meal with carbs and veggies to serve. The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine) ) team provided 8 pots to the Chalets Camp in Gaza City in Northern Gaza. Each pot cost $845 so the 8 pots in total cost $6,760 with 10% commission. Vegetables are sourced from local farms at incredibly high prices. Each pot provides 80-90 servings and depending on the size of pot can feed 4-7 people. Beit Lahia is in North Gaza, and Tal Al Dahab (hill of gold) is an area near the yellow line where almost no aid reaches. This is exactly why The Sameer Project goes and supports such areas! On August 1st prices were still at $17.50 per plate and we distributed 225 meals (800g per meal) at Al Katiba Camp, Konia, in Al Rimal. The total cost was $3,938 with 10% commission. The Civil Defense and the ambulance drivers save scores of lives daily while risking their own. With little to no compensation, these brave men drive patients from danger zones to hospitals for treatment, not knowing when they might themselves be attacked by the occupations. On September 1, Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project distributed 1,000 shekels or about $300 to each of 65 drivers in the North ambulance crews. This helps them care for their own families while they are out helping others, providing peace of mind and a big THANK YOU for their services. The distribution totaled $21,569 after 11% bank transfer fee. We paid each ambulance driver through the banking app to avoid a cash withdrawal commission. With the high temperatures, tents provide a huge sense of relief for Palestinians in Gaza. The Sameer Project continues to set up tents for those displaced in Gaza, support here: On the 26th of July, the Sameer Project team set up 6 tents in Sahel camp in Deir El Balah. Each tent cost around $425 with 7% commission, so the total is $2,550. Thanks to your donations, six families have found shelter during really difficult times. We are looking to set up more tents in Deir El Balah but we need your support. With the high temperatures, tents provide a huge sense of relief for Palestinians in Gaza. The Sameer Project continues to set up tents for those displaced in Gaza, support here: On the 26th of July, the Sameer Project team set up 6 tents in Sahel camp in Deir El Balah. Each tent cost around $425 with 7% commission, so the total is $2,550. Thanks to your donations, six families have found shelter during really difficult times. We are looking to set up more tents in Deir El Balah but we need your support. In the heat and while exhausted, people wait in queues for hours for food. Sadly due to the ongoing famine, people push through to get a serving in fear of the food running out. Donate: The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Palestine) target areas where limited aid reaches meaning that the levels of desperation are higher. We send extra team members to try and control the crowds and make sure no injuries happen and thank God so far, we have had no injuries. We distributed 7 pots of lentil and rice pots in the Yaffa School Shelter in Al Daraj neighborhood in Gaza city. Each pot cost $535 that includes 3% commission, so the total for 7 pots was $3,745.
