@threejs @SebastianLague Currently getting 120fps on gaming laptop at full res without any particular performance optimizations. But there’s no lighting in there currently. Lighting will balloon the cost. Yep it’ll be OSS like everything I tend to make lol

Took it further with Omma AI, (Spline ) now it works on video, and everything working in a Web Browser. Drop a video, Depth Anything v2 calculates the depth map frame by frame, and Three.js renders a fully lit 3D mesh in real time. Depth estimation on video in the browser +Automatic baking pass + Dynamic lighting reacting to the geometry #vibecoding #threejs #webgl

Yesterday I posted a clip of an alleged response from ChatGPT. I stand by that post despite some push back as it aligned with my reading of the bill and the fact that I had run through. 3 AIs. I am still working on cross referencing the outputs from the AIs alongside my notes from the bill. What I did not do is run it through Grok. So this clip is an interesting clip. building large language models from scratch by Sebastian Raschka was a great chance for me to sit down and study again all the LLM basics > token and positional embeddings > self-attention and what QKV is about > causal & multi-head attention studying llms and how they work can seem overwhelming at first. but once you taste how good it feels to learn these things intuitively there's no going back. I shared the resources and my notes on my repo and I hope it's a motivation if you want to start as well or recap.

Now, they swan off for another weekend without taking any action to help. We need to see a cut to taxes on petrol, diesel and home heating oil. Half measures won’t work. Working people cannot be left behind again. They want proper relief from skyrocketing fuel prices.

This was, without question, the worst day of the Carney government to date. The Foreign Minister blamed the democratic State of Israel — not the terrorist group Hamas. The Justice Minister announced he’s working from home and will be taking meetings on Zoom, as though the justice system were a tech startup. The Heritage Minister — who has nothing to do with pipelines — publicly contradicted the Prime Minister on energy policy. What’s next? Will he put a Canadian flag on a barrel of oil and call it culture? And then there’s the Housing Minister, who made it clear that making homes more affordable just isn’t a priority for him. You’ll forgive the language, but today was a complete and utter clusterfuck. From now on, only the Prime Minister speaks. Everyone else? Sit down. Take notes. And stop sinking the ship. Or as PM Carney would say “CA SUFFIT!”

$Marc Andreessen explains how AI turned the valley's best programmers into sleep-deprived "vampires": Marc points out a counterintuitive twist in what AI coding has done to developers. You'd expect one of two outcomes, he says. Neither happened. As Marc puts it: "What's actually happened is virtually to a person, they're all working more hours than ever. To the point where there is a new term of art that's used in the valley called the AI vampire...You're up all night doing AI coding because you are so productive." The reason they can't switch off is opportunity cost: "If you go to sleep, you won't be with your 20 AI coding agents keeping them working on all the projects that you have them working on. And so people stop sleeping." Marc describes friends, some of them famous, who look visibly worse than they did six months ago. Sleep-deprived, bags under their eyes, clearly not taking care of themselves. And yet "they are absolutely ecstatic because they are able to produce five times, 10 times, 20 times more code per hour than they could in the past." He shares one example, a Wall Street friend with a 35-year-old computer science degree from MIT who had long stopped coding: "He's picked up coding with AI. He's completely reanimated his entire house." AI jukebox, security cameras, robot pet dogs, smart fridges, every project he'd ever imagined. In his spare time, the friend has "generated 500,000 lines of code just by working with AI." The same thing is playing out inside companies.
