XB-1 Flight Four ✅ Very successful flight this morning. Airplane performed great, with a new top speed of Mach 0.6 and 2.5G maneuvers. Only lowlight: FES didn’t cooperate for M0.6 test point. So we’re pulling it out and shipping to vendor. Maybe back in the air in 3-4 weeks.

Here’s what we’re expecting on this test flight: • Second flight of the new V3 Starship and Super Heavy booster, incorporating upgrades and lessons from Flight 12 • First test deployment of next-generation Starlink V3 satellites • Continued evaluation of the improved heat shield and reentry performance • Controlled splashdown of the upper stage in the Indian Ocean • Further testing of the new launch infrastructure at Starbase This flight is primarily focused on validating the V3 design and building operational confidence. The flight suddenly stopped while moving and turned around…it kept moving like this for 2-3 minutes…15-20 passengers got injured…there were more than 100 people in the flight…70 to 80% of the people got injured…we will 100% take action against Air India.”

The fully autonomous Talon-A2, equipped with landing gear, has successfully exceeded speeds of Mach five and completed its second autonomous landing at Vandenburg Space Force Base. This mission documentary follows the first recovered flight of TA-2, the result of five years of effort and dedication marking a pivotal moment in sustainable hypersonic flight test for our country. Capable of reaching nearly Mach 3, it featured massive ventral fins and was conceptually derived from the earlier F8U-1 and F8U-2 Crusaders—though it shared very few actual components with them. Despite its impressive performance, it ultimately lost out to the F-4 Phantom II. The aircraft made its first flight in 1958.

It was 1/3 scale of the Vulcan and used to test flight characteristics of tailless aircraft. The C version had side by side seating, for this trial the left stick was direct link to control surfaces and right stick was fly by wire.😎
