Yesterday on Citizen TV, Raila Odinga’s spokesperson, Dennis Onyango, gave some deep and chilling revelations on Raila's close allies. He had this to say; PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO ~ Raila trusted President Ruto. He often said their vision was the same, particularly the housing project. Mzee believed in broad-based. JUNET... MOHAMMED was really trusted by Raila Odinga, and Junet was hurt the most after the loss of 2022 elections. SK MACHARIA believed in Raila. He wanted him to win and deploy resources. Rigathi Gachagua’s willingness to attend Raila Odinga’s burial is a reminder that even in the darkest moments of grief, unity must prevail over vengeance. Raila Odinga’s life was never defined by hatred — it was defined by forgiveness, resilience, and an unshakable belief that Kenya can heal, no matter how deep the wounds run. On this day, 1st February 2018, the late Rt Hon. Raila Odinga joined Eugene Wamalwa unannounced during the requiem mass of Eugene’s sister-in-law, the late Yvonne Wamalwa (widow of former Vice President Wamalwa Kijana), at Consolata Shrine in Westlands, just a few days after Raila had been sworn in as the people’s president at Uhuru Park, Nairobi. Eleven weeks after Raila Odinga passed, it’s time to stop pretending. We can mourn him yes, the man is gone but mourning doesn’t mean lying about the path he chose. Baba didn’t leave a movement behind. He left deals, alliances, and revenge. He chose President William Ruto over Kenya, his stomach over the people, and his ego over justice for the GenZs. He didn’t fight for the nation; he fought for himself. And the people who believed in him? They became collateral damage in his pursuit of power. He hunted independent minds Sifuna, Miguna, khamisi etc because they refused to kneel. Baba as ODM & Azimio leader betrayed allies who once trusted him. He abandoned principles he preached. Power, influence, and personal gain were the only gods he served in the end. President William Ruto? He exploited it all. He needed Raila alive enough to manipulate, dead enough to be mourned, and always convenient for 2027 schemes. They weren’t enemies they were partners, vultures circling the same prey: Kenya. Edwin Sifuna: Former DP Gachagua is impeached; he cannot run. I do not understand why people talk about him as a viable candidate. The value proposition for Gachagua for me, from an ODM perspective, is that he is taking away votes that helped beat us in 2022. For as long as he is taking away votes from Ruto, I don’t care where he takes them; he is not giving William Ruto. If Raila Odinga were to get the exact same number of votes that he got in 2022 in 2027 and William Ruto loses Mt Kenya, Raila will be President. Rigathi Gachagua: I negotiated for 8 positions in a cabinet of 22. I negotiated with the President because of the vote I was bringing in; it was up to him to make the decision. He is the appointing authority. When Raila came, he negotiated for 4 positions for him to support William Ruto. When Ruto sought the support of Raila, he came and demanded cabinet positions and 11 PSs and he was given. Even us to give Ruto support, we demanded certain things. I was a tough negotiator and why people thought I was tribal or too much is because I was insisting on getting what I negotiated for and I was being short-changed #CitizenExplainer

William Ruto saw this as an opportunity to pursue personal interests, and the personal interest was that if Raila were to win in the AU he would be able to bring himself to get his local political support base. When it arose, he came from Dubai, he called me, and we had a meeting before he invited me to attend a meeting of the central committee of the party, and he said he had a difficult situation he found himself in. Gideon Moi was going to win the Baringo Senatorial by-election then Ruto called him and lied to him that they will make him CS and give his party additional 2 CS positions plus 5 PSs if he withdrew. This was June 24th 2022. Junet had given instructions that I should not be allowed into a crucial Azimio meeting held at KICC because he was afraid I would contradict and possibly expose him in front of Raila and Uhuru (who was also meant to attend) concerning IEBC. So I decided to storm the press conference held soon after the meeting and took Baba hostage insisting that I needed to sit down with him for a few minutes. Junet who had begun to walk away after the media briefing quickly came back to manage mzee as you can see in the video. If you listen carefully you'll hear Baba asking me "Saitabao where were you?" because he expected me to present at the meeting a dossier (which you can see me holding) concerning the tribal and partisan plot Chebukati and Junet's kinsmen at IEBC had put in place in favour of UDA and William Ruto. I was later able to brief Raila comprehensively over breakfast with Paul Mwangi but Junet quickly rubbished my findings obtained from very trusted and reliable sources inside IEBC. Despite the overwhelming and damning evidence I had presented, Junet repeatedly told Baba not to worry about IEBC something he maintained until his mission was accomplished after which he disappeared for a few weeks and only resurfaced to continue his brokering business.
