you don't need threejs for this effect just apply `perspective` to the container and animate each image with `translate3d(...)` over time, where depth is something like `z = z0 + speed * dt` and the rest is handled by the browser easy to map opacity or scroll to speed too

I don't specifically recall EVER seeing the eyewall features of any tropical cyclone appearing to be *flashing* like a strobe light like this! The speed of rotation within the eyewall is so fast that each time the satellite image updates, each eyewall feature is in a totally different place, and this gives us the strobe light effect. This is truly awe-inspiring to witness. This is pushing the physical limits of how strong a storm can possibly get on the face of this planet.

🤩 I just learned a super cool trick! Do you know how sometimes you want to record while you scroll on a website, like for a demo or something... But by using the mouse to scroll it turns out to be kinda janky and it doesn't look very good? No? Just me? 🤭 Well, I found out that if you paste this code in the console of your browser: ` setInterval(() => window.scrollBy(0, 4), 16); ` You can make the browser automatically scroll for you! And it looks super cool in the recording! 😎

I've been wanting to say this for months. This is what Web3 should look like. With NBA Top Shot and Dapper Labs, NFTs don't SUCK. You don't need to know what blockchain is and you don't need forever to set up a wallet and add crypto JUST to get started. (There's little mention of the words blockchain or NFT in the platform itself.) The platform's UX is top-of-the-line considering it's in beta. It's so easy to use and navigate. Transactions are so fast and cheap. As a designer myself, I'm really impressed. Not to even mention the Tiktok-like experience on the mobile app! Most importantly, you're not collecting just over-glorified digital cats or apes, but moments by real people— athletes. I've tried many Web3 or NFT products and this doesn't even come close. You're not going to revolutionize your product by changing "Connect" to "Sign in". This should've been obvious from the beginning. IT'S MORE THAN THAT. The future of Web3 is here. Take note!

One capability I want to see Tesla AI ensure FSD has is understanding situations like this where a trash loaded trailer is on the highway at speed and the software understands this could be a situation where debris might blow out of the trailer and move back or over to another lane. That’s what most humans would do and it’s to protect from potential future damage or a dangerous situation.

Did you know you can create the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution with just some balls and a motor? I built this simple device to illustrate it. This is how it works: A spinning agitator pumps energy into ~400 balls, so they bounce around and collide like gas particles in a box. They escape one at a time through a tiny hole, then fall a fixed gap into bins below. Since the hole is so small, every ball leaves with no vertical speed and takes the same time to fall. Constant fall time means how far a ball flies sideways is set purely by its speed. A faster ball goes into a further bin. So each bin is really a speed. Tally all 400 and you get the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution.
