The VA spends nearly $1 billion every year on software and digital services with no tracking system. The result: duplicate purchases, unused licenses, overbilling, and cybersecurity risks. We introduced the VAMOSA Act to fix it. The bill requires the VA to establish a complete software inventory, eliminate duplicative spending, coordinate major purchases through the VA Chief Information Officer, and report annual cost savings to Congress. Taxpayer dollars should go directly to our veterans. Not wasted on software nobody is using and nobody is tracking.
