You’re probably not as good at judging wind as you think. Video below is two identical golf shots. Same club. Same swing. The only difference? Wind. First shot▶️no wind. Second shot▶️14mph crosswind. The result? A completely different outcome. Most golfers only think about wind changing how much shorter/longer the...

What is the strongest wind you have ever played golf in? For me, last Thursday afternoon at Cruit Island. Constant wind speed of 45 to 50 mph. Not only was the ball oscillating, my body was as well. 🤣 Turn up the volume!

What’s your attitude when you get a windy day on the course? One of the best things about playing links golf is you get used to the wind. You go from fearing it to craving it. (When the course is made for wind.) We had a super windy day at Kennemer in Holland. Had 180 yards straight into the breeze on 9, went with a dead hand 7 wood and struck gold. A great shot is always satisfying. But the more variables you take on, the more satisfying it is. Learning to treat wind as an opportunity to really play golf completely changes your enjoyment level.

How can you not love Anthony Richardson??? A Mt Rushmore broadcast-cam QB. You have no idea where the ball is going to wind up when it pans -- not sure he always does either

The isobars remain fairly close together across some northern areas today, and into the overnight period The wind will be fairly gusty as a result To see how this is affecting conditions for hill walking, check out our latest mountain forecasts 👇

‼️I don't think people are grasping how MISERABLE this Winter Storm will be. This Winter Storm will be NOTHING like last week’s storm❌ 🥶 Portions of the Carolinas will turn into SIBERIA on Saturday, as Hurricane Force Wind gusts and close to a FOOT of Snow fall at the same time. 🌀 Our Storm is what’s called a BOMB CYCLONE, meaning it is a rapidly strengthening Low Pressure System. 💨 Instead of a calm, steady Snow, conditions will be ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL inside the core of the storm as Blizzard like Snow and Wind WHIP around. 🌡️ On top of that, Temperatures will be Frigid, with Wind Chills close to 0. I’ll have another update later tonight, but right now this is looking like a BIG ONE for our Carolina brotheren. More to come my brotheren. 👊❄️

Even when it really is windy and rainy in Gaza, Palestinians see the need to invent exaggerated conditions in a fabricated AI. Notice the flags starting at 00:10 of the video. One is waving wildly "as a result of the wind", the other, which is "lazy" next to it, barely moving... This is how lying is a way of life....

At Ardfin, one thing you get that is often missing in modern golf course architecture is the Heroic golf hole. Golf holes that instill fear. That require long clubs and long carries. Golf holes with no escape. The 2nd hole is a 210 yard par 3 with a 180 yard carry. Playing 20 yards longer into the wind. Yes it’s hard. Yes I saw good players top the ball into the nether. But the reward is so satisfying when you hit the great shot.

Chip or putt? How are you playing this shot? ▶️~63 feet to the hole ▶️Fairways are dry and firm ▶️About 15 feet of fairway to go through ▶️Fairway has a 12 to 18 inch upslope right before green ▶️Green is running about 10 on the stimp ▶️Will be uphill and slow'ish most of the way (except the first couple feet on the green is really running away downhill coming off that knob you need to go over) ▶️Wind is 8-10mph, off the right, and a little help Green book image below is from StrackaGolf Green Reading, Yardage Books, & Stats green books (Use code DATALOU15 to save 15%)

First round of the Northern Open at the legendary Royal Dornoch — and honestly, what a privilege to play a course with this kind of history and character. It’s one of the best in the world for a reason. Links golf is a different beast. The turf’s firmer, the bounce is unpredictable, and the wind is a constant factor — especially up here. It demands a completely different style of play compared to parkland courses. You’ve got to think way ahead, control your ball flight, and accept that sometimes the ground game is your best (and only) option. Today, I didn’t hit it great and definitely struggled to adapt in the wind and cold. A few wayward shots and some scrappy moments left me grinding out a 74 (+4), which puts me mid-pack. It wasn’t pretty, but sometimes links golf is about survival more than style. My approach play was a real sticking point. This is an The PGA PGAScotland Open Series event, so every shot counts toward the Order of Merit. Still in the hunt, still learning, and still grateful for days like this. On to tomorrow. #RoyalDornoch #NorthernOpen #TrustTheProcess

🚨 One of the most interesting UFO videos that released by GOV today It's interesting amd shocking how this object intelligently avoids the Wind turbines , not to mentions its speed . Most conventional explanations would be that this is a drone but who am I to tell

Ben Hogan’s left arm got closer to his chest as he turned through the shot. Instinctually, a lot of golfers “chicken wing” because they think they can hit the ball harder. But that’s not how serious compression is created. Pull in as you turn the corner, and keep that upper left arm tied to the chest. That’s where the speed, control, and compression come together. My upcoming Classic Swing Golf Schools are June 20–21 at Grapevine Golf Course in Texas and July 17–19 at Foxwoods in Connecticut. Email school@classicswing.golf for details.

Nice sunny day in Bavaria. Another day when all these wind turbines stand perfectly still， as expensive land decorations without generating a single watt of electricity. I saw more than 50 wind turbines today while driving and hiking through the landscape. Not a single one of them was turning. I used to support the so called "renewables". But having eyes to observe and a brain to think make me doubt the renewable maximumist narrative. Southern Germany is simply not suitable to build more wind turbines， because it is just not windy enough. No amount of government mandate or subsidies can change that. Green's 100% renewable fantasy is an expensive war against nature.

Do YOU think this was a clean tip on DBone’s first ever “no-looker” to teammate Darius Butler for the slam? For those that don’t know.. A “tip” is when you catch the ball and throw the ball during the same jump.. you’re not allowed to be in contact with the ground and the ball at the same time on the defensive side of YOUBall and MANY other driveway basketball games

Tomorrow we're going to be told we're overreacting about Cade York. "It was only 1 kick in a meaningless game!" Look at the FG post flags. Zero wind, perfect snap, perfect hold. And that ball never had a chance. This is a 4th Rd pick in Year 2. This is a problem folks. #Browns

Many call this kind of footwork "useless" in a game. They are wrong. Young players should aim to develop as much comfort with the ball as possible. It translates, just not how you think:

One thing we are watching now is potential ERC (eyewall replacement cycle) beginning. Pressure / wind may have temporarily peaked. Some of the hurricane models have suggested multiple eyewall replacement cycles through Tuesday. For tonight, it is possible this eyewall replacement is quick then we see another dip even stronger overnight with lower pressure and even higher winds. These eyewall replacement cycles will have impacts on how the storm comes into FL Wednesday night. Eventually these should grow the eye and core with time. If the cycles are finished before it hits the wind shear, that could make it a little more resilient to the wind shear. A smaller eye and core probably gets bothered more by the dry air intrusion/wind shear that should be meeting up with #Milton late Wednesday off the Tampa coast. So, these cycles are important in the eventual core structure as it nears the coast late WED.

Good morning from a “master criminal” to all of you! In my homeland of Iran, riding a bicycle and feeling the wind in your hair is a punishable crime for women. As a survivor of assassination plot by the same regime on U.S. soil, I truly appreciate and embrace this freedom. 💃🏾🌻

⚠️A POWERFUL Bomb Cyclone is set to slam Europe on Thursday as it tracks through the English Channel, bringing Heavy Snow, Strong Wind, and Rain. 💨 Hurricane force Wind Gusts are possible along parts of the French coast, with wind gusts expected to exceed 70mph as the storm rapidly "bombs out". ❄️ On the back side of the storm, Heavy Snow and Blizzard Conditions could develop across parts of England, as cold air wraps in behind the system and winds absolutely CRANK. ⚠️ This is a high impact, fast moving storm, capable of producing major travel disruptions, power outages, and dangerous conditions across multiple countries. Normally, I stick to US Weather, but this will be a very impactful Storm for our European Brotheren so I thought it was worth covering. Heads up my European Brotheren

I believe the mistake most golfers make is that they try to hit a straight ball. Hogan said hitting it straight was a “fluke”. If you aim up the right side and draw it or vice versa, then you make the fairway as big as possible. If you aim up the middle, you then you cut the fairway in half. This means a shot that draws too much ends up in the rough on the left and a ball that fades too much ends up in the right rough. The game is tough enough, so try to give yourself as much advantage as possible. GP #PXGTroops
