Ukraine will produce Patriot interceptor missiles jointly with U.S. arms giant Raytheon Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the leadership of one of America's largest defense companies. The two sides agreed to take their cooperation to a new level — a move that could prove to be a major breakthrough. Raytheon is one of the largest U.S. defense contractors and the manufacturer of the Patriot air defense system. If the project goes ahead, Ukraine will be able to localize production of one of the most critical, expensive, and hard-to-replace components of its air defense network, significantly strengthening its ability to defend against Russian missile attacks.
