I prefer Veit Harlans Opfergang from 1944 over Kolberg, I believe both are still available on YouTube and worth a watch.

「映像の世紀」でゲッベルスの特集したときにゲッベルスは会心の作品と言っていたらしいですが、公開当時にもう映画鑑賞する余裕があるような一般人はいなかったと解説されてた記憶が。
