I have requested the Prime Minister, the Aviation Minister, and those associated with Aviation in the Indian government, and the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, to consider this matter..."

U.S Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a close call between two aircraft at Boston Logan International Airport on Saturday. The FAA said the crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2351, Airbus A319, executed a go-around at Boston's airport around 11:30 a.m. because another aircraft (AA3161 Boeing 737-823) was departing from an intersecting runway. A Delta spokesperson, who noted nothing is more important than safety, confirmed the crew of Flight 2351 followed established procedures in coordination with Air Traffic Control and performed a go-around on approach into Logan Airport. The London-bound flight was carrying 242 people. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian national, and seven Portuguese nationals. Air India’s statement released at 3:19 PM IST on 12 June 2025 reads: “Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident today after take-off. The flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese nationals. The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals. We have also set up a dedicated passenger hotline number 1800 5691 444 to provide more information. Air India is giving its full cooperation to the authorities investigating this incident.” The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) statement, released at 2:38 PM IST on 12 June 2025, says: “The aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 13:39 IST. As I landed at Delhi Airport, I saw an Air India aircraft taxiing with a slogan commemorating Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birth anniversary and ‘ੴ’ (Ik Onkar) emblazoned on it. A truly heartwarming moment. This initiative was taken in 2019 by Hardeep Singh Puri as Civil Aviation Minister. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the founder of Sikhism and is the first of the ten Sikh gurus. "Ik Onkar" is a fundamental concept and the first line of the Mul Mantra representing the core believe in the ones of God and the universe. 🙏

The ill-fated aircraft, registered as VT-SSK and operated by VSR Ventures Pvt. Ltd., was flying from Mumbai to Baramati when it crash-landed at around 8:45 am. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), there were no survivors. The flight was operated by Pilot-in-Command Capt Sahil Madan and Co-Pilot Capt Yash, while Ajit Pawar was travelling with his Personal Security Officer and an attendant. The Philippines government wants its flag carrier Philippine Airlines to explain the reason behind an emergency landing of its aircraft in Japan, which was due to smoke from an air conditioning unit. Philippine Airlines flight PR-102 bound for Los Angeles, USA made an emergency landing and diverted to Tokyo Haneda Airport after smoke was detected from one of its air conditioning units. However, the Boeing 777 aircraft (RP-C7782) landed safely with 355 passengers on board. Passengers remained on board as emergency responders ensured a safe and orderly disembarkation. Philippines Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said he ordered the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Civil Aeronautics Board to require the airline to explain the cause of flight diversion. #aircraft #airlines
