It’s about faction balance It’s about Faction Pride It’s about keeping it vanilla. Now when I wpvp all day I don’t get a salty player to log over to type X slur to me It controls toxicity a ton. Less Spys and trolls. About time we get faction pride back.

Sorry, but this is a horrible idea. If you're going realmless but you keep that restriction, that means if you have friends that you want to play with on the other faction, you'll literally never be able to do it. It's also just bad in general for people that like both factions.

Seriously? If we had separate servers, this makes sense. But to lock players into a single faction in pvp forever, unless you delete all of your characters... that's a horrible decision.

this is actually the most dogshit thing they could have done. Bring back realms if they're just gonna lock us to a faction in the entire pvp ruleset

@NoraValletta @AggrendWoW you all NEEEEEED to undo this. Please. The restrictions actually made sense when there's more than one available realm. If your layer balancing is going to be so advanced there is literally no need for this anymore and actively ruins the game experience

I think megaservers are a really bad idea. Having a reputation enforces people to behave themselves more. You're more likely to be an asshole to someone you'll never see again.

Ya not sure this is the best decision. Because with no realms you can't just go to another server and play the other faction anymore. I like the idea, but in the context of how the server system is going to work this is extremely limiting, when most people play both factions now.

I don't like this. That means you can never play the opposite faction in pvp. You are forever account locked. There is no other server you can go onto. This is really bad. Probably the worst thing I have heard so far.

That's bullshit. I want to play both factions on PvP.

This was an important thing to maintain for the purity of Classic and I'm glad they did it but people play the game differently and unless I'm not considering something most of what's prevented is already bypassed by having another account. Doing this and going realmless sucks.

Even more reason to add an RpPvP ruleset, so you can create the opposite faction on a separate PvP server. :)

this is actually really bad what if I want to play with my friends that selected the other faction? This is not how you build faction pride, vanilla didn't have this and still had the faction pride feeling. This is forced and unnecessary.

I think this is a misstep

This is a major L if this goes through. After 20+ years of experience I’m sure yall can figure out a better way to balance than this. There is only one PvP realm and most of us have friends and toons on both horde and alliance. Please consider another option. I know y’all can do better than this.

This is dumb. Limit the layers or something so that you can’t just switch faction and troll your own friends if that is the concern, but you should be able to play both factions. This is NOT the same as classic, in classic I have horde and alliance characters on PvP servers.

No restrictions if you pay for two WoW accounts

Just like the old days. But people now are just buying two accounts and playing both sides that way.

Seems obvious to me that you shouldn't be able to play both sides on a pvp server. 🤷‍♂️
