Which is dumb, i'm sorry. The economy will be filled with potions you can't afford because someone, somewhere IS selling gold. So the player base that can't sit and play the market 5 hours a day will suffer, and then they'll roll out a wow coin. Stop restricting players. GDKP is optional, it was never forced upon you, stop blaming it for the reason you can't play the game, because the real problem is the people selling gold and making 1 flask cost 5USD in gold.

@EbonhardtTV good. gdkp is a heresy. it serves to sells golds, bring more bots, inflate the economy and force people to either sit on the sideline or try and keep up with the inflation, which makes many turn to gold buying and it repeats. gdkp goes contrary to the spirit of classic.

This made my decision to not play so much easier. They ban gdkps becuase the blizzard devs get a piece of the RWT gold Hence why consumes are always higher on non GDKP servers. Thank you seriously, you guys ensured era doesn’t die because most of us that play wow have limited time, and GDKP respects that limited time.

@EbonhardtTV GDKP is a great system in a vacuum. If nobody was ever able to buy gold. But that's not the case. People buy gold. And Blizzard doesn't permanently ban those who do. So all GDKP does is hyperinflate the economy.

@EbonhardtTV normies never attend gdkps, TBC anniversary has insane levels of insider trading that not even wotlk, cata or mop had, GDKP should also be considered a raiding option for people that don't want to raid with bad players, gdkps or not the Venezuelans are still going to be there.

Banning GDKPs is a really based decision. Everyone I knew in classic who regularly attended GDKPs first used it to get BiS everything, then max their gold on multiple accounts and in personal guilds just to house it all, they then started selling the GDKPs gold they were getting on RMT websites. Anyone who thinks GDKPs isn't directly funding the RMT life cycle doesn't actually know what GDKP now has commonly turned into. These people I knew who were doing GDKPs was only running 2-3 raids a week , prepaid a decade of their WoW sub, had 10m stockpiled gold in classic WoTLK and then were making after all that hundreds of dollars per month in RMT gold.

@EbonhardtTV Thank god. GDKP incentivized a lot of gold selling and inflated prices to a ridiculous degree. Getting enough gold to buy consumes for raids became a full time job.

I disagree with this. Gdkp is a perfectly fine system. I ran the largest gdkp runs on my server back in wrath and nobody ever had any problems. I also didn’t skim any of the gold for myself, I did it because gearing can be hard if you don’t have a guild supporting and feeding you. I would also give away any battered hilts that I got to randoms who needed a weapon. If you have a community these systems work fine. It’s only when you are all strangers that it breaks down and becomes something that people complain about.

@EbonhardtTV Very silly, regular people end up buying gold more for consumes (think naxx progression) when there is no option for gdkp. If you want a forever server/game; gdkp gets end game geared players in lower tier raids much more often. Hopefully they change this at some point.

@EbonhardtTV TBC anniversary is so shit. Every group is HR’ing everything. Also, who wants to sit through a 3 hour pug raid and lose all your rolls? You get nothing. At least with GDKP you get a cut of gold at the end and the run is faster because people are incentivized to play properly

@EbonhardtTV gdkp is breeding ground for RMT and only benefits people who have RMT. it is not good gameplay. distribute loot based on effort/who needs the upgrades or just let people roll for it.

@EbonhardtTV This is ridiculous. Like it blows my mind they actually dictate what I’m going to spent my gold on and what not. And they killed mop where all I did is gdkp. Now they don’t give me ability to play new game the way I want while being forced out of the game I enjoyed.

@EbonhardtTV Gdkp groups may be banned but buying raid items for gold in TBC wasn’t, or at least it wasn’t enforced. Was happening all of the time. Probably the same for Forever.
