That sounds like a great way to kill any community, thus rendering it a complete dud before it’s even started. The people that run this game are idiots.

So when I am running around the world I basically will never interact or see that one/group of people again as it will just be layers. So their will be no server community etc. I like to see the same people running around the world.

After playing Final Fantasy XIV and experiencing what that game has to offer as far as servers. This is really what this game needed, in my opinion. Being able to play with your friends is by far the best thing to retain players.

Is it just me or does this scream "We don't have enough players to do realms like we've done in the past... So instead of calling them realms, we're making 4 realms so people are "more together"." That about right or...?

they didnt answer this but what does this mean for ping and OCE? are we all just playing on central NA like nightslayer/dreamscythe?

Details to be confirmed but it’s a safe assumption that OCE/SA players should expect NA ping. Will try and confirm and post something about it later.

One of classics core problems is layering and the inability to utilize large scale guilds in wpvp. Without 20 layers I don’t see this possible. 4-5 is bad enough. (Link below is what it could and should be)

If they rave about the technology but don’t give us OCE ping… That’s actually the biggest spit in the face, and will no doubt make OCE players not even want to play the game..

That means they don't expect a lot of people to stick after launch. Also why they are paywalling the race, they want your 30$ and one month of sub, because they know you aren't sticking long enough to milk you.

So basically it's going to be mega server where players will hop servers randomly of the same classification how system deems fit. Yikes. Bad choice.

Great. Friend 1 is on PVP, Friend 2 on PVE and Friend 3 on RP your favorite streamer is on HC because viewers and you are stuck with one ruleset? it doesn´t seem to be possible to switch. I don´t think they really thought it through...

How does this stop everyone from just piling onto the PVP server like always? I don't get it. I'm a PVE guy but love the population of the PVP servers so I've always played there.

Need so many clarification on this, some pretend layer will have multiple location, americans are angry because they say the server will be on 1 coast, not clear who can play with who regarding faction/mode/region. Lang layer got a soft merge fallback or are locked? @FwoiblesWoW
