President receives credentials from ambassadors-designate of Italy and Republic of Korea President Asif Ali Zardari received the credentials of Ambassador-designate of Italy Ugo Ciarlatani and Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea Han Sungho at Aiwan-e-Sadr today. While talking to Ambassador Ciarlatani the President expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to further strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations. He noted the steady growth in bilateral ties, particularly in trade and investment, with bilateral trade having surpassed the US$1 billion mark, and welcomed the signing of the agreement on abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders. The President also appreciated Italy’s support for Pakistan’s candidature for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2025-26 term and highlighted the importance of the Pakistani community in Italy as a bridge between the two countries. President receives credentials from ambassadors-designate of Italy and Republic of Korea President Asif Ali Zardari received the credentials of Ambassador-designate of Italy Ugo Ciarlatani and Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea Han Sungho at Aiwan-e-Sadr today. While talking to Ambassador Ciarlatani the President expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to further strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations. He noted the steady growth in bilateral ties, particularly in trade and investment, with bilateral trade having surpassed the US$1 billion mark, and welcomed the signing of the agreement on abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders. The President also appreciated Italy’s support for Pakistan’s candidature for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2025-26 term and highlighted the importance of the Pakistani community in Italy as a bridge between the two countries. During his meeting with Ambassador Han Sungho, the President said Pakistan attaches great importance to its multidimensional relationship with the Republic of Korea.
