#WATCH | BRICS Summit 2026 | Delhi: Responding to ANI's question on India managing to get the New Delhi Declaration unanimously adopted & meeting with PM Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says, "What India has done well is to have an extremely well-organised Summit. Organising a Summit is always a touch-and-go type of process. There are many things that could go wrong. Nothing went wrong. So, we congratulate India for doing so. But we also congratulate India for giving leadership throughout this whole process. When a host convenes a Summit, they take the reins of leadership, they direct the discussions and they also cajole everyone towards a decision. So, that's what India has done extremely done well. Whereas all countries have to cooperate and reach consensus, they need a focal point and India was that focal point and the leading light in all this. We really congratulate PM Narendra Modi and all his various ministers; they have done extremely well." He also says, "In our bilateral with PM, we reflected on the relationship between South Africa and did say that it is a special and strategic relationship...I promptly invited him to come to South Africa next year so that we can together celebrate the strategic partnership between South Africa and India and to come, if possible, on Nelson Mandela's birth anniversary. So that we can celebrate the great man. We also spoke about the Gandhi-Mandela scholarship. We want to do more around these two great leaders. We touched on trade issues, investment issues and how we can deepen our relationship at an economic level. We congratulated India for its space exploration activities. In the developing economic world, India - apart from China - is ensuring the leadership. We can see that the two countries are giving great leadership also in a number of areas. Technologically, we can see that India is moving ahead...There is a lot that we can learn from them. It was a really good bilateral."

The success of Indiaโ€™s energy diplomacy under the leadership of PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji bears positive results even as the world is faced with serious geopolitical crises. Our energy imports continue uninterrupted even as supply chains choke. We are able to ensure easy availability of fuel for our citizens even as countries worldwide struggle to make energy ends meet. We are able to do this because India has diversified its import basket to 41 sources from the basket of 27 that existed in 2014. India not only secured its energy needs, but emerged stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future. While many countries struggled with shortages and soaring prices, India protected its citizens because we planned ahead, diversified supply chains, strengthened strategic reserves, expanded sourcing options, and took difficult decisions when required. PM Modi Jiโ€™s vision has never been limited to managing crises. His vision is to use every crisis as an opportunity to build the future. Indiaโ€™s ethanol blending programme has grown from approximately 1.5% to the threshold of a 20% blending economy. Flex-fuel technology is creating new opportunities for consumers and farmers. E85-compatible vehicles will provide more fuel choices, lower operating costs, and reduce dependence on imported crude. At the same time, India is positioning itself at the forefront of the global clean-energy transition. Through the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the country is laying the foundation for a new energy ecosystem that can power industries, create jobs, attract investment, and strengthen energy independence.

โ€œNo member has raised any objection. The New Delhi Declaration 2026 is adopted unanimously" PM .Narendra Modi Ji just sent a BIG message to Washington via #BRICS New Delhi Declaration 2026 adopted UNANIMOUSLY & this's bigger than any other diplomatic declaration. BRICS is increasingly pushing for a world where no single power can dictate the rules of global trade, finance and governance. Main points of Joint Declaration drafted by Bharat: ๐Ÿ‘‰Against unilateral tariffs & trade barriers BRICS has raised serious concerns over unilateral tariffs and non-tariff measures that distort global trade. ๐Ÿ‘‰Reform of IMF, World Bank & global institutions BRICS wants greater representation for Emerging Markets & the Global South in institutions where Western powers have traditionally exercised enormous influence. Basically based on current financial dominance (means Bharat & China) ๐Ÿ‘‰Reform of the UN Security Council PM Modi has pushed for a more representative global governance system โ€” reflecting today's economic and demographic realities, not the world of 1945. China too has agreed. Sorry, Lehru ji. ๐Ÿ‘‰More intra-BRICS economic cooperation More trade, investment, supply-chain cooperation and financial connectivity among BRICS economies means gradually reducing dependence on Western markets and institutions. ๐Ÿ‘‰Less dependence on the US dollar BRICS is NOT launching a BRICS currency tomorrow. But increased use of national currencies, alternative payment mechanisms and non-dollar settlements could, over time, will reduce the dollar's role in international trade. ๐Ÿ”ฅAnd THIS is what strategically hurts America. Because the real strength of the US isn't just its military. (We have already seen what has Iran done with American Military "Power"). Real strength of America is in its USD + US financial infrastructure + control over global financial institutions + enormous market power. If BRICS countries progressively build alternatives to these systems, Washington's economic leverage inevitably faces a challenge. And it becomes serious for America looking at scale of BRICS -40%+ of the world's population -Nearly 25% of global GDP at market exchange rates -11 major emerging economies incl Oil producing Nations -Military Powers in Russia, Bharat & China -World's biggest manufacturers & consumer markets in Bharat & China ๐Ÿ‘‰PM Modi Ji has made it clear through this declaration that BRICS is NOT yet an anti-American alliance, but we also refuse to bow down to American dominance on Global Systems. ๐Ÿ‘‰Direction is unmistakable: From a US-centric global order โ†’ towards a more multipolar world. BRICS doesn't want to replace America tomorrow BUT BRICS definitely wants to make world gradually less dependent on America. And Bharat's role in steering this process from the driver's seat in New Delhi is perhaps the most interesting part of the story. Modi Ji's BRICS diplomacy is not about choosing America or China. It's about ensuring Bharat has a seat at the table where the NEW global order is being shaped and he convinced everyone to agree to it. Rahul Ghandy says Modi doesn't know International Diplomacy & Piddis believe him. Who is bigger fool?

VIDEO | Saint Petersburg, Russia: When asked about the evolving dynamics between Moscow and New Delhi while the world is watching very closely as he would be travelling to India for BRICS Summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin told PTI CEO and Editor-in-Chief Vijay Joshi: "You gave the description yourself and it is true, we enjoy special privileged strategic partnership, that is how I characterise this relationship, it did not occur yesterday or 1 or 5 years ago, this is something we have been working upon for decades, back in 1947, when the Soviet Union established diplomatic relations with Indian Republic, we have been doing everything to support the establishment of a new state, a new independent state, I'm glad to say that, thanks to the hard work and the talent of the Indian people, India has made great, and important achievements in its development. All those gathered here must know that India is one of the leading economies of the world, that shows the highest rate of economic growth, this is the result of hard work that the government has been doing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi... This rate of development has been demonstrated by India while the strategies are implemented, formulated by Modi, as the head of the government of India. We are engaged in a lot of joint efforts, we hope that in upcoming years, we will reach USD 100 billion in mutual trade... We have all the foundations to work more actively and to reach more ambitious goals, and we are not only talking about our plans in energy, including nuclear energy, new platforms will emerge... We have one of the largest investment projects into the Indian economy... Everyone knows that India is very active in pharmaceutical industry, and our economic operators are ready to propose a lot of interesting projects... We have already outlined long perspective plans that are of interest both for India and Russia." Responding to the question of India-Russia relations in the redrawn geopolitical landscape, Russian President Vladimir Putin told, "I don't think this is a case. We are glad that India is developing its relations with all the countries, it's a great country, a large economy, the largest democracy, it is only natural that it develops economy in accordance with its interest with those countries that it deems necessary. Another thing is the US is trying to put pressure on India in some matters, for example, when it comes to cooperation with Russia. Everyone understands that putting pressure on Narendra Modi is detrimental for international relations, and for bilateral relations, doesn't matter from where this pressure comes from. We don't see any negative consequences... As of today, no serious repercussions emanating from the state of affairs, we are developing our ties with India, we deem India to be a reliable partner." ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India and Pakistan, China and India, all seated at the same table in Kyrgyzstan this week. The SCO is 25: Ten members, roughly half the planet. China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, and Central Asia are meeting while Ukraine still burns and Iran is at war. Guterres is there, and ErdoฤŸan is around the edges. This is no longer a quiet regional club. The SCO is often described as a counterweight to Washington, but it isnโ€™t a unified anti-U.S. bloc: its members have competing strategic interests, different relationships with the West and, in some cases, longstanding tensions with each other. That makes the summit significant, as China and Russia may want a more multipolar world with less U.S. dominance, while countries like India have strong incentives to preserve strategic independence rather than simply choose one geopolitical camp. On Monday, China and Russia pledged to push the SCO toward a bigger role in โ€œglobal governance,โ€ where Putin offered to make Russia-China visa-free travel permanent after tourism jumped 43%. Meanwhile, India is playing a different game. Modi hugged Putin, invited him to BRICS in New Delhi, and still told him the world has to leave โ€œendless warโ€ behind. He told Iranโ€™s Pezeshkian India will back efforts at lasting peace. Translation: keep Russia for energy and defense, refuse to join a China-Russia camp, talk to everyone. That is the real summit; India and Pakistan in one room, China and India with an open border dispute, Iran hunting cover, Central Asia wanting Chinese cash without becoming a Chinese province, and Kyrgyzstan trying to turn anniversary talk into funds, corridors, and counterterror machinery. The SCO cannot replace the West, but they can watch three things: whether the Bishkek Declaration names terrorism and the Iran war in language everyone can live with; who actually gets time with whom; and whether any real money moves. Speeches are cheap, but routes, gas, and financing are how an order shifts. These guys ultimately may not trust each other... but they showed up anyway. Source: France 24 YT / Writer: Val

๐ŸšจBRICS SUMMIT 2023๐Ÿšจ {1/3} โœ… IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS EVERYTHING CHANGES FOR THE UNITED STATES โœ… THE DE-DOLLARIZATION MOMENT MIGHT FINALLY BE HERE โœ… A GOLD-BACKED CURRENCY THAT STANDS AS THE BACKBONE OF A NEW BRICS CURRENCY IS BEING ROLLED OUT IN EARNEST โ€ผ๏ธIn 24 hours, Putin and China will change everything. Yes, tomorrow, a BRICS lightning bolt will shock the Western hegemony that's been ruling the world for decades. Western media is totally ignoring the story, by the way, because they don't want to admit what's about to happen. Goldman Sachs, though, understands it, and they believe that by the year 2050, the BRICS nations will dominate the global economy. So on Tuesday, yes, tomorrow, the BRICS summit officially kicks off in South Africa. This is the first face-to-face BRICS summit since the start of COVID, and we are about to witness a rebalancing of the world order. โ€ผ๏ธThe agenda items at this summit are massive: ๐Ÿ’ฅThe currency, yes, a new currency, trade, military cooperation, AI, microchips, oil, all of it, infrastructure, rail lines, shipping. This is a big, big deal. And the United States, I guess, didn't get an invitation. The British didn't get an invitation. Germany isn't welcome. Is the game over for the Western hegemony? Well, the writing is on the wall. Now, for those of you that don't know, BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. And it started out small, over a decade ago, and now it's become the greatest threat to Western power that we've ever seen. And I'm not talking about military power here, which we'll get to in a second. I'm actually talking about economic power, oil power, computer power, trade power, the greatest weapons of all, not those bombs. ๐Ÿ’ฅNow the top of the agenda is the United States dollar, squarely in the crosshairs. Here's how Foreign Policy magazine headlines this moment, a BRICS currency could shake the dollar's dominance. The de-dollarization moment might finally be here. Really? Is it true? After all, talk of getting rid of the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency goes back to the 1960s. Here's the New York Times, in 1968, talking about France trying to separate itself from the U.S. dollar. Yes, French President Charles de Gaulle versus Lyndon Johnson. That's how old this is. That's how far back this goes. This isn't new at all. But now we are at a tipping point. Brazil's president, Lula da Silva, says that every night he asks himself why all of these countries have to base their trade on the U.S. dollar. Can you imagine every night before going to bed, that's the thought that you have? And what he does? Well, now they don't. A gold-backed currency that stands as the backbone of a new BRICS currency is being rolled out in earnest. Brazil, Russia, China, India, South Africa, trading oil, computer chips, minerals and settling those transactions in a reserve currency that has nothing to do with the U.S. dollar. All of the previous meetings of these BRICS nations have been leading up to this moment in South Africa. BRICS countries are home to more than 3.2 billion people, around 40% of the global population. None of the bloc's members is in the G7, the group of seven advanced economies. To increase its influence, BRICS is considering bringing new members into the fold. Just look at the trade between the BRICS nations. There's a massive financial surplus. The BRICS nations have a trade surplus. Brazil just hit a record trade surplus. So why would they want to settle these transactions with U.S. dollars? Doesn't make any sense. Meanwhile, Europe's trade deficit has hit a new record, nearly $500 billion trade deficit. Which side would you rather be on? Of course, this isn't happening overnight and there are big impediments to a BRICS currency. The biggest issue right now is that if Russia wants to import things from other countries that are not named China, they'll likely have to settle it in U.S. dollars if they want to import those items

Why has New Delhi agreed to wait 15 years for veto power it hasn't even won? Why is it rejecting a seat that's reportedly on offer? And who's still standing in the way? India and its G4 partners Brazil, Germany, and Japan have intensified their joint campaign to secure permanent seats on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), offering a flexible proposal to defer their veto power for 15 years to break the current diplomatic deadlock. This strategic move is designed to call the bluff of opposing factions while directly countering intense geopolitical resistance from the "Coffee Club" alliance, spearheaded by Pakistan and China. To dismantle arguments that an expanded "veto club" would paralyse UN decision-making, Indiaโ€™s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, advocated for a unified G4 model: ๐Ÿ”ด New permanent members would legally hold veto status but agree not to exercise it for 15 years pending a review. ๐Ÿ”ด India firmly rejected Western proposals to create a permanent category completely stripped of veto rights, warning that it would institutionalise inequality. ๐Ÿ”ด The G4 model proposes expanding the UNSC from 15 to 25โ€“26 members, adding 6 new permanent seats. Geopolitical Gridlock: The Bluster and OppositionThe push for a reformed multilateral world order faces fierce resistance from entrenched regional rivals: ๐Ÿ”ด Formally known as the Uniting for Consensus (UfC) group which includes Pakistan, Italy, and Argentina this coalition aggressively campaigns to expand only non-permanent, rotating seats to specifically block India and its allies. ๐Ÿ”ด China continues to use its existing veto power as a geopolitical shield, subtly offering to support India only if New Delhi drops its alliance with Japan a condition India has completely ignored. ๐Ÿ”ด While Russia openly backs permanent seats for India and Brazil, it strongly opposes Germany and Japan due to current alignments, attempting to break the G4's unity. Building the Global South Coalition ๐Ÿ”ด Recognising that reforms require a two-thirds majority in the UN General Assembly, India is strategically aligning its campaign with the wider Global South: ๐Ÿ”ด India actively champions the Ezulwini Consensus, demanding at least two permanent seats with full veto rights for African nations. ๐Ÿ”ด India is pushing back against recent UN working papers that float "fixed regional seats", which would force India to perpetually rotate a seat with countries like Indonesia or Pakistan. ๐Ÿ”ด Despite the ongoing gridlock, Indiaโ€™s core claim continues to collect formal backing from four out of five permanent members (P5) the US, UK, France, and Russia. VIDEO | Saint Petersburg, Russia: When asked about the relations between India-China-Pakistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin told PTI CEO and Editor-in-Chief Vijay Joshi: "Of course, we are well aware of the intricacies of the issues concerning the border between India and Pakistan, you said that Pakistan is a country that is fully under the control of China, I don't think so, first and foremost, Pakistan is a large country, it has multi-faceted ties with different countries, of course, for Pakistan, it is very important to take into account the cooperation with the Republic of China, but everyone is developing the relations with China... India ranks third, Russia ranks fourth in terms of its GDP... China, US, India, and Russia that's the top four countries... These are delicate, multi-faceted relations between India and China, and interfering into them is not a good idea. Of course, we interact with our friends in both India and China... President Xi and PM Modi are both trying to resolve all the issues of mutual interest, including the relations on the border... As for Russia, we have our own relations with China, with India, no one is holding grudges, for decades we have been establishing this relations, it was happening naturally, relations between Russia and India do not disturb China, our relations with China do not disturb India... This linkage helps everyone... At one point, I suggested that leaders of India, China meet here, that's how Russia-India-China was established. We had things to talk about, to agree upon, we started doing later on, then we were joined by Brazil, because Brazil wanted to take part... South Africa joined with BRICS, we continue to expand, when we meet, we talk, we come to an agreement. We don't have any issues in cooperation either with India or China, we know that we have multi-faceted cooperation, we cooperate with India in terms of armaments... both land and sea-based BrahMos missiles... We proposed our Indian friends to work together on technology, the fifth generation technology. But Indian friends said do it on your own and we will join, we are ready to work with India in this field to supply aircraft, we don't have any issue with, any limitation, same goes with defence system, for air-defence system, it is critical to have separate components, but it's more important to create a system... You have to take into account, that there should be one information system that would be working in real-time... Now we are working on updating the system, it is unique expertise, we are ready to share this technology with Chinese, Indian friends, we keep working in this regard." PUTIN gets a Heroes Welcome at BRICS ! ๐ŸŽ™ President of Russia Vladimir Putin addressed a meeting of the BRICS Business Forum (New Delhi, September 11, 2026) ๐Ÿ’ฌ Vladimir Putin: Friends, Prime Minister Modi, colleagues โ€“ heads of state, our friends in the audience, and members of our countriesโ€™ business community. As per tradition, this event takes place before the BRICS Summit. Its high-profile attendance underscores growing interest in strengthening contacts throughout the territory of our association. It is clear that strong economic partnerships and reliable business ties largely shape the basis of international relations, reinforcing their stability and helping us overcome the crisis elements the modern world is facing. The world has entered a period of deep structural shifts caused by the fact that the old leaders โ€“ relatively speaking old โ€“ who were at the forefront of economic growth in the latter half of the past century, are being replaced with new growth drivers. Over the past five years, as it has already been said today โ€“ I think it was our Indonesian colleague who said it, the #BRICS countries accounted for over 40 percent of global GDP, while the contribution of the Group of Seven, the so-called leading economies, although I donโ€™t understand why they are called โ€œleading,โ€ was just 29 percent. As for global economic growth over the same period, our association accounted for nearly half of it, while the G7 contributed just 18 percent. What drives these trends? The answer is quite simple: the BRICS countries, which are home to roughly half the world's population, have vast and dynamic domestic markets. Our cities are growing and developing rapidly, urbanisation is advancing quickly, and our national companies are increasingly making their mark as global players. We have long been told that competition is an inviolable principle; yet, regrettably, Western competitors today are resorting to every conceivable means to reclaim their erstwhile dominance. They go so far as to employ instruments of direct physical force, including the destruction of industrial and logistical infrastructure, pipelines, and similar facilities. Efforts are underway to block international transport corridors, to seize seaโ€‘going vessels, while illegal restrictions are imposed, accompanied by threats of soโ€‘called secondary sanctions, on those who refuse to act in the interests of others and instead seek to defend their own national interests. I know my colleagues could cite hundreds of such examples of this, but consider this: over 30 000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia โ€“ nearly twice as many as against all other countries in the world combined. We must also acknowledge another fact: the countries that initiated this sanctions pressure, and which are now grappling with serious problems such as budget deficits, mounting public debt and industrial decline, have been unable to do the same. ๐Ÿ‘‰ It turns out that they are the ones facing complex and severe consequences. This is are not mere speculation; these are facts drawn from their own statistics. Russia is open to interesting and promising initiatives in industry, trade and tourism. We are ready to contribute to the worldโ€™s energy and food security together with our partners, and to jointly shape reliable global routes, such as the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor and the North-South International Corridor. Through the combined efforts of the bodies of power, businesses and expert community, BRICS is creating a new stable platform of global growth. It is notable that its key elements, the operating rules for companies and organisations are not imposed from the outside by the so-called golden billion. Likewise, we do not impose anything on others. Our rules are based on innovative business approaches, breakthrough technological solutions, highlighting the national interests of our states and nations. It is true that this is hard and painstaking work, but the BRICS countries have shown that they can work hard and honestly, cooperate on an e qual basis, see the big picture and mutually beneficial prospects, and find answers to any challenges, which means that our initiatives will succeed. I wish you all the best. Thank you. Read in full #BRICS2026
