This crisis is escalating daily. It is no longer limited to men; women are... also being forcibly disappeared and held in torture cells. The Pakistani state shows no sign of relenting in its targeting of the Baloch. Because of this, every single instance of enforced disappearance or extrajudicial killing especially those not yet registered with any official organisation must be documented immediately. It is the responsibility of the families to ensure these cases are recorded. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee is currently working on this documentation process. We urge everyone to contact the BYC to register their cases via: 1: Social Media Accounts 2: Official Email 3: BYC Human Rights Representatives. We request that you submit these cases as soon as possible. We know from experience that when a case is not registered or part of a formal record, and that person is subsequently killed and dumped, the family and the organisation are left without the necessary evidence to prove they were forcibly disappeared. Registration is our primary tool for accountability. When we speak to the international community about the Baloch Genocide including harassment, torture, disappearances, and psychological trauma, we must be backed by a comprehensive record of every story and every case. I condemn the tragic killing of Zakriya Baloch, a former victim of enforced disappearance, Sadly, Zakriya's fate is not an isolated incident. Many Baloch victims of enforced disappearances have faced similar brutal ends. The Baloch people have faced decades of systemic oppression, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings. This is a stark reminder of the Baloch genocidal policy perpetuated by the state, which is absolutely unacceptable! Baloch masses from across Balochistan, under the banner of “Breaking Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances,” are resisting state-sponsored crimes against them. In this effort, five peaceful protests have been organized in different regions of Balochistan. As part of this ongoing campaign, a peaceful protest was planned in Panjgur, where the administration and law enforcement agencies attempted to prevent people from participating. State authorities abducted a participant of protest and continue to monitor others involved in the protests. The lives of protesters are in grave danger, as they face the threat of enforced disappearances. After the protest in Panjgur, several protestors were followed and one the protestor Haseeb Baloch, a 22 years old graduate student from ARID university and a resident of Panjgur was enforcedly disappeared by Law enforcement Agencies. Previous protests were held in Karachi, Hub, Turbat, and Khuzdar, where the families of forcibly disappeared individuals registered their cases with the BYC. Dr. Mahrang Baloch addressed the protest rally organized by the family members of the forcibly disappeared Asif and Rasheed Baloch on the sixth anniversary of their disappearance. Families of other forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals also participated. Dr. Mahrang categorically highlighted the worsening human rights catastrophe unfolding in Balochistan, where state authorities do not even allow Baloch people to peacefully protest the disappearances and extra-judicial killings of their loved ones. When even a Supreme Court judge admits his head hangs in shame, that judicial independence is over, and that the state itself is complicit in enforced disappearances—where should families go? It is truly a moment for national level introspection when courts express the same sense of helplessness as victim families. There are courts across the country where cases of enforced disappearances are pending even today. Thousands of families from Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh are still awaiting justice. Hundreds of families await compliance with production orders issued by both the courts and the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances. Often, it appears even issuance of such production orders is futile since their compliance is, more often than not, not ensured. This is the same system that then brands BYC activists as ‘terrorists’ for asking them to uphold the constitution they swore an oath to protect. This contradiction lays bare what we already know: enforced disappearances, fake encounters, extrajudicial killings—the state is behind them all. And the violence is so vast that even if an arm of the state (i.e. the judiciary or the Parliament) wanted to recover the disappeared, it would not know which dungeon holds whom, or which mutilated body lies in which grave. That is why Baloch mothers sit in Islamabad: not only for their sons, but for every face turned into a poster, every grave left without a name. The judiciary must play its part and ensure the most vulnerable are given protection of law, that their fundamental rights are protected not just on paper but in practice. Today, one independent minded judge apologised for failing families of the disappeared and stated that his head hangs in shame seeing the agony of Baloch women on the streets. Is the rest of the judiciary asleep? Or are the collaborators of this practice in the judiciary going to continue playing their part in attempting to erase the forcibly disappeared? If the judiciary is forced to hang its head in shame, history will not forgive this shame. It will indict its silence in the erasure of an entire people.

We call upon the international community and the United Nations to take proactive measures to prevent this systematic collective violence against the Baloch people. Three Baloch students were forcibly abducted from their homes by security forces. The victims are identified as Bahadur Chakar, a student of the Botany Department at the University of Balochistan. His family members have blocked the CPEC Road and are demanding his safe release. Two youths named Hammal and Aslam have also fallen victim to this dehumanizing practice. We do not expect the state perpetrators of this crime to provide justice and ensure their safety, as the state itself is systematically committing this slow genocide of the Baloch Nation, endangering the lives of innocent people through this brutal practice. 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, the region once known as the "Greenbelt," people are now dying of hunger. The land is being divided, and the Baloch are forced to beg just to survive. We see the malnutrition and mothers dying during childbirth. In 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗻, the sea is on one side and the border on the other. Both sources of livelihood have been confiscated by the state. While the Baloch struggle to survive. People are being displaced from their homes, and the land is being handed over to others like charity. To resist this, the Baloch are being killed or disappearing. 𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮, Baloch culture and values are being eroded. Many are being pushed into a state of unaware slavery. 𝗜𝗻 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻, death squads operate freely. Women and children are being disappeared and harassed leaving families in a perpetual search with no answers. In these areas, drugs have become more accessible than food. Checkpoints across our land are complicit in these genocidal acts, even facilitating the movement of drugs destroying our youth. Overall, Balochistan has been turned into a "death well" defined by oppression, road accidents, cancer, extrajudicial killings, harassment, and enforced disappearances. There is a total collapse of health and education. The state calls this "security". What state destroys an entire nation to secure itself? This is not security; it is Genocide. For this reason, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee marks January 25th as #𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗗𝗮𝘆. We remember the mass graves of Tootak; to this day, we do not know who they were, but we know they were Baloch, and their mothers are still sitting on the roads searching for them. Salam Baloch Raj! Today, we look at our lives and those around us. Many may not grasp the depth of the situation, but we feel that life is not as it should be! If we look at the life of: 𝗞𝗼𝗵-𝗲-𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻, every day someone is lost to cancer, and families are struggling just to save a single life. 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, the region once known as the "Greenbelt," people are now dying of hunger. The land is being divided, and the Baloch are forced to beg just to survive. We see the malnutrition and mothers dying during childbirth. In 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗻, the sea is on one side and the border on the other. Both sources of livelihood have been confiscated by the state. While the Baloch struggle to survive. People are being displaced from their homes, and the land is being handed over to others like charity. To resist this, the Baloch are being killed or disappearing. 𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮, Baloch culture and values are being eroded. Many are being pushed into a state of unaware slavery. 𝗜𝗻 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻, death squads operate freely. Women and children are being disappeared and harassed leaving families in a perpetual search with no answers. In these areas, drugs have become more accessible than food. Checkpoints across our land are complicit in these genocidal acts, even facilitating the movement of drugs destroying our youth. Overall, Balochistan has been turned into a "death well" defined by oppression, road accidents, cancer, extrajudicial killings, harassment, and enforced disappearances. There is a total collapse of health and education. The state calls this "security". What state destroys an entire nation to secure itself? This is not security; it is Genocide. For this reason, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee marks January 25th as #𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗗𝗮𝘆. We remember the mass graves of Tootak; to this day, we do not know who they were, but we know they were Baloch, and their mothers are still sitting on the roads searching for them. BYC condemns the use of force against the family members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. The protesting families of Zaman Baloch and Abul Hassan Baloch were attacked today by state-backed individuals. These individuals drove a car into the protesting families, resulting in the critical injury of Jhanzab Baloch, a minor. Jhanzab is now being shifted to Karachi for treatment.
