People are losing their lives due to hunger and illness, and several women and children have died as a result of airstrikes carried out by the state. She said the state has intensified its policies of enforced disappearances and targeted killings; five people have been killed by state backed death squads in the Makran region. All these actions are part of a broader attempt to suppress the Baloch nation and silence those who speak out. BYC leaders are being imprisoned, and the names of various organizational members are being placed on the Fourth Schedule to stifle their voices. She urged the nation to rise and speak up against the ongoing genocide. If we remain silent, it will only allow this genocide to grow. #StopBalochGenocide

This crisis is escalating daily. It is no longer limited to men; women are also being forcibly disappeared and held in torture cells. The Pakistani state shows no sign of relenting in its targeting of the Baloch. โ€‹Because of this, every single instance of enforced disappearance or extrajudicial killing especially those not yet registered with any official organisation must be documented immediately. It is the responsibility of the families to ensure these cases are recorded. โ€‹The Baloch Yakjehti Committee is currently working on this documentation process. We urge everyone to contact the BYC to register their cases via: 1: โ€‹Social Media Accounts 2: โ€‹Official Email 3: โ€‹BYC Human Rights Representatives. We request that you submit these cases as soon as possible. We know from experience that when a case is not registered or part of a formal record, and that person is subsequently killed and dumped, the family and the organisation are left without the necessary evidence to prove they were forcibly disappeared. Registration is our primary tool for accountability. When we speak to the international community about the Baloch Genocide including harassment, torture, disappearances, and psychological trauma, we must be backed by a comprehensive record of every story and every case. This global advocacy is only possible if you assist us by providing these details and registering the case. Register the case as soon as possible for the sake of your beloved one's life.

On this International Human Rights Day, BYC Central Member Sammi Deen Baloch states that Balochistan continues to face one of the gravest human rights crises of our time. Decades of systematic violence, fear, and repression have left deep psychological and socio-political wounds on the people of Balochistan. The suffering of the people of Balochistan remains largely ignored by the international community and by those organisations that call themselves champions of human rights. According to the BYC Human Rights Department, enforced disappearances have reached alarming levels, with 1,080 cases reported this year alone, including 53 minors. Disturbingly, Pakistani authorities are now targeting women and girls; 12 girls were forcibly disappeared in 2025, of whom three remain missing, and 189 extrajudicial killings were reported, including six women. Pakistani military operations, drone attacks, mortar shelling, artillery fire, and other assaults have become daily practices of the rogue paramilitary forces, resulting in the displacement of entire villages and small towns across the province. She highlights that human rights activists are the beacon of hope for oppressed people. Yet in Balochistan, human rights defenders are threatened, charged in fabricated cases, and hundreds of students and teachers face false accusations and FIRs for peaceful activism. Freedom of speech and expression is treated as a crime. The region has been pushed into a media blackout, where journalists are silenced and harassed for reporting and revealing the truth about state-led oppression and violence. #InternationalHumanRightsDay #StopBalochGenocide
