Hardship pushes you to Allah. Ease reveals if you will remain with Him. The wise believer understands this, so when ease comes, he increases in humility, shukr (gratitude), sadaqah, and remembrance. He says: “This is from the grace and mercy of my Lord. Without Him, I can achieve nothing.” But the foolish person lets his ego grow, forgets the One who answered him, and walks the earth as though he owns it. The verse exposes how quickly man forgets his dependence on Allah, mistaking divine mercy for personal brilliance. True faith is proven not in how we call upon Allah during hardship, but in how we remember Him and show gratitude when the hardship is gone.

And on the process point alone, he has a fair grievance — if you think someone holds a view that serious, confront them directly first. But here's what Tucker left out of his wounded monologue. Franklin Graham didn't write that letter in a vacuum. He built a file. In 2024, Tucker hosted revisionist historian Daryl Cooper — who argued that Churchill, not Hitler, was the chief villain of World War II and that the Nazis did not intend to k!ll Jews — and praised Cooper as "the best and most honest popular historian in America." In December 2025, Tucker dismissed polling showing conservatives view radical Islam as America's greatest threat, falsely claimed no one in the US has been k!lled by radical Islam in 24 years, and argued that persuading white Americans to fear radical Islam is "an op" run by Israel. He called American Jewish Zionists Israel's "informal employees in the United States." At Charlie Kirk's memorial service, Tucker described the crucifixion of Jesus in a way that both critics and supporters interpreted as implying Jews or Israelis were behind Kirk's ass∗ssination. He then interviewed Nick Fuentes — a self-described neo-Nazi and groyper — on his show, sitting with him for a friendly conversation about "Zionist Jews." He platformed Joe Kent, who resigned from Congress blaming "Israel and its powerful American lobby" and went on Tucker's show to insinuate Israeli involvement in Kirk's d∗ath. A study by the Jewish People Policy Institute tracking 3,000 Tucker videos found that by mid-2025, roughly 70% of his references to Israel were negative — up from 50% earlier that year — with AI sentiment analysis flagging a clear escalation toward content meeting the IHRA definition of antisemitism. Israel's Diaspora Minister called Tucker "the leading platform for fringe Holocaust deniers, conspiracy theorists, and blood libel enthusiasts who oppose the State of Israel." 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁” 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. While VS Code is open source and can be forked: VS Code Marketplace and lots of proprietary extensions. For example, when forking VS Code, the fork is not allowed to use extensions like Python language servers, remote SSH, and dev containers. The Windsurf team had to build custom extensions from scratch — which took a bunch of time, and users probably did not even notice the difference! However, if Windsurf had not done this, and had broken the license of these extensions, they could have found themselves in legal hot water. So forking VS Code “properly” is not as simple as most devs would normally expect. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 “𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲?” 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲. One of the very surprising stories was how Windsurf’s partnership lead (a non-developer) created a quoting tool by prompting Windsurf. This tool replaced a bespoke, stateless tool that the company paid for. Varun and I agreed that a complex SaaS that has lots of state and other features is not really a target to be “replaced internally.” However, simple pieces of software can now be “prompted” by business users. I have my doubts about how maintainable these will be in the long run: just thinking about how even Big Tech struggles with internal tools built by a single dev, and then when this dev leaves, no one wants to take it over.

Inside Iran, people risk their lives calling for him as a unifying figure to end the Islamic Republic and move toward a secular, democratic future. Outside Iran, a powerful online and media ecosystem works overtime to discredit him. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝘅 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺 Not because he rejects democracy but because he openly embraces it. Pahlavi has been explicit: no imposed system, no inherited power, no fear of free and open elections. The future of Iran will be decided by the Iranian people at the ballot box. 𝗔 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 And this is not rhetoric without substance. Reza Pahlavi has said his team of experts has developed a clear plan for the first 100 days after the regime’s collapse, along with a roadmap for Iran’s long-term reconstruction and stabilization. He has proposed organizing the opposition around a short list of universal principles: ▪️ Iran’s territorial integrity ▪️ Separation of religion and state ▪️ Individual liberties, equality of all citizens, and the Iranian people’s right to decide their democratic system through free and fair elections 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹. The ideological left and the MEK (Mojahedin-e-Khalq), the same forces that helped dismantle Iran’s institutions and derail its reform trajectory in 1979, are once again at the center of the effort. Alongside Iran-lobby networks that represent the Islamic Republic’s interests abroad, they enjoy direct access to mainstream media and policy platforms. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝘁 That access is used to whitewash the regime’s crimes, soften its image, and reinforce false narratives, including the claim that Reza Pahlavi lacks popular support, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Even the digital record mirrors the streets. When Iranians had access to Instagram and social media, Reza Pahlavi’s videos consistently drew tens of millions of views and millions of likes, reflecting massive grassroots support from inside Iran. When the regime imposed internet blackouts and Iranians were forced offline, those numbers plummeted, not because support disappeared, but because millions were physically cut off from the platforms. When access returned, engagement surged again. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 The videos that did make it out of Iran during these periods told the same story. Any serious and credible opposition should be amplifying the voices of Iranians inside Iran, especially those risking their lives in the streets. That is the standard they claim to uphold. When those voices are loud, clear, and inconvenient, they cannot simply be ignored. Footage flowing out of the country was ubiquitous in its messaging. Across cities and regions, the same chants dominated protest videos: ▪️ “Javid Shah” (Eternal King) ▪️ “Reza Shah, roohat shad” (Reza Shah, may your soul be at peace) ▪️ “Shah, Shah, Shah bar-gard” (Shah, Shah, Shah, come back) ▪️ “In akharin nabardeh, Pahlavi bar migardeh” (This is the final battle, Pahlavi will return) These chants were not isolated or rare. They appeared repeatedly in raw, unedited videos from inside Iran, echoing across demonstrations in different regions and cities, spanning Iran’s wide geography and cutting across social classes, ethnic communities, and religious centers. When those voices do not align with preferred narratives, they are not amplified. They are sidelined. The pattern is consistent. 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 Instead of confronting the Islamic Republic’s historic crimes against humanity, crimes that have left tens of thousands dead, entire generations traumatized, and a nation bled dry, many prominent “Iran analysts” now devote a disproportionate amount of their time to attacking a single opposition figure. That figure is Reza Pahlavi, whose central position is calling for free and fair democratic elections and insisting that the Iranian people should decide their future. A quick look at their X feeds makes this imbalance impossible to miss. Their posts are rarely focused on the regime’s mass killings, systemic repression, or entrenched corruption. Instead, they are dominated by an ongoing fixation on Reza Pahlavi, not because he rejects democracy, but precisely because he advocates it and, by any fair and open vote, would likely prevail. Amid this historic level of repression, smear campaigns intensify, narratives are carefully managed, and blame is deliberately redirected away from the perpetrators. This inversion is intentional and follows a long-standing propaganda and whitewashing playbook designed to shield the regime from accountability. Andrew Huberman recently told Bill Maher something that sounds wild — that the long-wavelength red and infrared light present in sunlight and old incandescent bulbs actually passes through your body, charges your mitochondria, improves your vision, and helps regulate blood sugar. And that the short-wavelength-dominant LED lights now in most of our homes may be quietly undermining mitochondrial function. His words: 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺. Professor Glen Jeffery at University College London — one of the researchers Huberman specifically names — published a study in 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 in July 2025 confirming that infrared wavelengths from sunlight measurably pass through the human torso, even through clothing, and that just 15 minutes of exposure improved color vision by 16% (blue axis) and 9% (red axis) in participants — measured 24 hours later, even when light was blocked from their eyes during exposure. A separate study from the same lab showed that red light exposure reduced post-meal blood glucose spikes by 27%. These aren't fringe blogs. This is University College London published in Nature's Scientific Reports. The mechanism Huberman describes checks out. Your mitochondria contain water that absorbs long-wavelength red and infrared light — the same reason reds disappear when you go underwater. That absorption drives better ATP production, the energy currency of your cells. The retina has more mitochondria per cell than almost any other tissue in the body, which is why vision improvements show up as such a clean measurable signal. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲. The Biden administration's energy efficiency regulations effectively phased out most incandescent bulbs. The stated reason was energy savings. What was never part of the regulatory conversation — at all — was the growing scientific literature suggesting that the near-infrared wavelengths stripped out of LED lighting may have real biological consequences. Whether that was ignorance or indifference, the result is the same: Americans were nudged by government policy into lighting that the emerging science suggests is metabolically inferior. 𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁? Huberman himself is practical about this — he has LEDs at home and isn't panicking. Here's what the science actually points to: The primary solution is sunlight. Outdoors sunlight delivers near-infrared at levels no bulb can match. Even 15 minutes outside — clothed — appears sufficient to trigger measurable effects. If you work near a window, that helps too. For indoor lighting, not all LEDs are equal. Look for "full spectrum" or "broad spectrum" LED bulbs that include wavelengths in the 600–900 nm range. "Warm white" LEDs (2700–3000K color temperature) are closer to incandescent output and include more red-spectrum light than the cool blue-dominant bulbs. They're not a perfect substitute for sunlight, but they're meaningfully better than standard cool-white LEDs for this purpose. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: get outside every day. Eat near a window. If you're replacing bulbs, choose warm-spectrum LEDs. And maybe ask why a government that claims to care about public health never thought to ask what stripping infrared out of every American home might do to the people living in them.
