On Tuesday (Dec. 30), Brian King Joseph filed suit against the Philadelphia rapper-actor in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles, NBC News reports. Joseph claims he was hired in November of 2024 to play on Will's Based on a True Story album and to appear on the Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour. However, according to the suit, Joseph experienced a “traumatic series of events” while on tour with Will in Vegas in March of 2025. Warrantless Entry from chief of police & Taser Arrest of former deputy Leads to Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit. ​ Buhl, Idaho resident and former deputy Eli Johnson was pulled over by officers for allegedly traveling 41 mph in a 25 mph zone. Johnson pulled directly into his own driveway. While the stopping officer stepped back to his patrol vehicle to retrieve a citation book, Johnson exited his car and walked toward his house. Despite being ordered to remain by his vehicle, Johnson went inside his home, arguing that officers had no proof of speeding and demanding to speak with a supervisor. ​When Buhl Police Chief Jeremy Engbaum arrived at the scene, Johnson opened his front door to speak with the chief while standing within the entry threshold of his home. Officers instructed him to step outside to receive the traffic ticket, warning that failing to do so constituted obstruction and delaying an officer. Johnson agreed to being issued the citation but said he was staying in the safety of his home. Showing an understanding of his rights, Johnson refused to step outside and requested to speak his attorney and wait for witnesses because he does not trust the chief. ​When Johnson attempted to close his front door, the chief physically blocked the threshold with his foot to prevent it from shutting. Officers then forcefully opened the door, entered without a warrant into the entryway, deployed a Taser on Johnson, and pulled him outside onto his lawn to place him under arrest. While Johnson was initially charged with multiple offenses following the incident, all criminal charges against him were later dismissed. Warrantless Entry from chief of police & Taser Arrest of former deputy Leads to Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit. ​ Buhl, Idaho resident and former deputy Eli Johnson was pulled over by officers for allegedly traveling 41 mph in a 25 mph zone. Johnson pulled directly into his own driveway. While the stopping officer stepped back to his patrol vehicle to retrieve a citation book, Johnson exited his car and walked toward his house. Despite being ordered to remain by his vehicle, Johnson went inside his home, arguing that officers had no proof of speeding and demanding to speak with a supervisor. ​When Buhl Police Chief Jeremy Engbaum arrived at the scene, Johnson opened his front door to speak with the chief while standing within the entry threshold of his home. Officers instructed him to step outside to receive the traffic ticket, warning that failing to do so constituted obstruction and delaying an officer. Johnson agreed to being issued the citation but said he was staying in the safety of his home. Showing an understanding of his rights, Johnson refused to step outside and requested to speak his attorney and wait for witnesses because he does not trust the chief. ​When Johnson attempted to close his front door, the chief physically blocked the threshold with his foot to prevent it from shutting. 🕯️Remembering Michael Coleman, R.I.P 🕯️ Galway GAA are deeply saddened at the sudden and untimely passing of the former Galway Hurling Captain Michael Coleman of the Abbeyknockmoy HC Club. Michael represented Galway with distinction at Minor, Intermediate and Senior levels. He won an All-Ireland Under 21 Hurling title with Galway in 1983. He went on to play a starring role at midfield when Galway retained the All-Ireland Senior title against Tipperary in 1988. In an Intercounty career spanning over 10 years, Michael also won three National League Titles including captaining the winning Galway team in 1996. His contribution on the National stage was recognised by his selection on three All-Star hurling teams in 1989, 1990 and 1995. Michael also represented University College Galway in the Fitzgibbon Cup as well as being the star of the St. Jarlath's College team that narrowly lost the Connacht Senior B Post Primary Hurling Final in 1981. Michael took great pride in his club and was an important part of the Abbeyknockmoy team which won the Galway Senior Hurling Championship in 1988. When his playing days were over his commitment to the club was unwavering: serving as mentor, coach and officer over the years. Michael was also active within Báireoirí Na Gaillimhe, a group consisting of former Galway hurlers. Michael was coach with the Leitrim Senior Hurlers when they claimed the Lory Meagher Cup in 2019. Outside of the GAA, Michael was a committed community activist involving himself in many activities within the locality. He will be sorely missed by the Galway GAA community. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife Mary, daughter Sinead and son Dara, his extended family, the Abbeyknockmoy Hurling club and community at this incredibly difficult time.
