Dylan Crews 2 Strike approach. The best hitters adjust pitch to pitch & to the game situation. First 2 strikes are for Dylan Crews to look to do damage & drive the baseball for extra bases. The 3rd is for the LSU Tigers. Spread out. Foot down early. Be on time. Refuse to K!!!

Everybody talks about bat path but some kids don’t truly know or understand what it means. So this visual helps them a ton & teaches them how to create margin of error and keep going through the middle. One of my favorite drills. Hitters University

Hitters U PVC pipe drill. Each player requires a different feel & attack angle to find an elite bat path that works for them. Some need to feel down… some need to feel slightly up 💪🚀 Hitters University

The drop drill. Cleans up so much in the swing. To hit the ball you must be able to launch instantly, be short & quick, & square it up on the barrel. If you can hit this, you can hit anything. Hitters University

Kerry Carpenter working on controlling the back leg with limited forward movement / being ready to go instantly when he decides to swing from a fully loaded position. Such a sick swing. Proud to see the player he has turned into these last few years. All his hard work has paid off. Some things to take into account. Kerry has always had a great swing. The loading & timing change that he made to start pretty much already loaded with the upper half and weight on his back leg has eliminated slop & extra movement in his swing & created a consistent timing mechanism he can use each time he steps into the box. Now he can just wait longer to read the baseball, decide to swing, & unleash from a fully loaded position.

WHIFFLE BALL BAT THROWS— GREAT DRILL FOR YOUNG PLAYERS… when working with young players at Hitters U we like to use drills with external focuses to get the players to understand & feel the proper way of moving without explaining it to them. These drills naturally get you to the place you need to be or you won’t be able to throw the whiffle bat through the middle. Fly open it will go in foul territory, have a big upper cut the bat will hit the ceiling. Hitters University

🚨 THE BIGGEST LIE IN MODERN HITTING. We’ve become a game of clones. Everyone wants the same launch angle, the same hand path, and the same “aesthetic” finish. But here is the reality: If you’re coaching every kid to move the same way, you aren’t coaching—you’re just copying and pasting. 🧩 Feel vs. Real The truth is found in who can decipher the feel vs. real for every individual player. • What a coach sees on camera (Real) is almost never what the athlete is experiencing (Feel). • If you tell a hitter to “get on plane” and they start dumping their barrels, your “correct” advice just broke their swing. 🧬 Different Bodies, Different Movements Everyone is built differently. One hitter has long levers and tight hips; another is short, explosive, and hyper-mobile. Everyone moves differently. So why on earth are we buying into ONE rigid swing philosophy? Unless that philosophy is the one that allows you to get the only intended result that matters: CONSISTENT BARRELS. 🎯 The Bottom Line Stop trying to win the “Best Looking Swing” award on Instagram. If your swing is “ugly” but you’re a barrel machine, you’re a better hitter than the kid with the “perfect” mechanics who can’t touch a high-spin heater. We need to stop chasing positions and start chasing intent. If the “feel” creates the “result,” keep it. Everything else is just noise. Stop cloning. Start competing. How throwing a frisbee helps groom a proper bat path. To throw the frisbee down the cage to the back of the net you have to have good DIRECTION & path towards the middle. If you fly open it will hit either side of the net. We want large margin of error through the middle of the field. We will be having 2 clinics in December at Hitters U! DM us to sign up or to join our online baseball academy/community Hitters University

How I’d get good FAST as a baseball player: First get in the gym and commit. 6 days a week: upper / lower / arms, repeat. 1 full rest day. Do this for 6 straight months minimum. Build strength, durability, and discipline. Second the baseball work has to be intentional. Hit 5–6x/week with a plan. Not just swinging… purposeful reps. Work with a coach who gives you structure, routine, and adjustments. Then put in the REAL work on your own. Extra swings. Extra reps. Extra time. This part matters: You are NOT going to develop at practice alone. High school, travel, even college practice isn’t enough. The jump happens in the hours nobody sees. Third fuel your body like an athlete. Eat enough protein to recover and build strength. Hydrate consistently. Add electrolytes. Recovery = performance. If your body breaks down, so does your progress. Fourth train your mind daily. Read 1 chapter a day: •Heads Up Baseball 2.0 •The Alchemist •The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success •The Four Agreements •It’s All in Your Head You need mental toughness to handle failure, pressure, and long stretches with no visible results. That’s part of it. Now tie it all together: Training + reps + nutrition + mindset. Do ALL of it consistently. Then do it for 3–5 years. No shortcuts. No skipping steps. Keep your head down. Stay obsessed with getting better—not being seen. The results will come if the work is real. If you want a clear plan + mentorship on exactly how to do this, reach out. Hitters University
