Editablemesh decals! I'll opensource this as an API very soon. You can: 1) Project onto meshparts or blockparts (assuming you have permission) 2) Use texture atlases for the rects 3) Batch stuff up however you want 4) Use surfaceApperances or textures (or whatever) #robloxdev

Spent a bit of time optimizing it! Some stats: Now uses LOD+Actors so only 5000 verts a frame to update (4ms on my crusty 3.5ghz pc) 60fps flipbook for the materials costs ~10MB of textures Normal.Y->lerp color per vertex gives that glowy green tropical water effect #RobloxDev

The new demo map for Roblox Vis Tools has finally gone up! This is my direct answer to the original Modern City not showing off my SDK very well, and has been brewing for a while now :) This maps pretty carefully budgeted so it runs great on mobile, and boasts huge view distances, hundreds of buildings and thousands of props like street lamps, trees and lights. But funnily enough, it's not THAT fussily put together - the SDK buys you a lot of breathing room. The artists literally were kitbashing smaller buildings together make bigger buildings. Literal building blocks! Huge Kudos to Rasberry and Oliver for their art and map building that made this all possible. #roblox #robloxdev #robloxvistools Link to the SDK and Demo:
