bro these people are making $115k/month selling google sheets... to women found this brand called "smart women society" and honestly it's genius. took the same budgeting/planner products everyone sells but went ALL IN on one angle women empowerment and built an entire brand around it. 64+ ads running for 5+ months straight. same spreadsheets you've seen everywhere, just completely repositioned for women specifically. that's literally the only difference. and they're not selling just one product they got 24 different products testing different pain points within the same audience. career planners, travel planners, budgeting tools, relationship guides, self-care stuff... all targeting the same woman, just different problems. their ads? mostly video testimonials + simple videos of the spreadsheet on a laptop with text overlays. and some static image ads testing different hooks like "the best budgeting tool I've ever used" basic stuff but it works. this is what I keep saying the product almost doesn't matter. it's about finding YOUR angle and going deep with one audience. these are literally google sheets and notion templates but they wrapped it in the right positioning and now they're printing $115k/month.show more

OK, I have a definitive word on the CJ... Abrams play from today's Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals game after talking with Elias Sports Bureau on this. This play will stay as a sacrifice fly. The originial ruling of NOT a sacrifice fly was for the exact same reason that I thought, which is that the infielder is not running into the outfield, which is year's past would have been correct As it was explained to me, in past years, an infielder had to be running almost in a straight line towards the outfield wall to be considered "running in the outfield". Here, since he is running, and he ends up further away from home (157 feet) than when he started (145 feet), this is going to count as a sacrifice fly. That definition is changing, in part from this play to help bring greater consistency, and to take some of the guesswork out of it (the argument that he is running into the outfield as opposed to more parallel). Now, folks all the time ask "why doesn't MLB publish the OS Manual" and I always say because it is a living document that can have the wording change, and the wording for this play will be modified to something like "more towards the outfield wall than towards home plate" to eliminate any confusion. The big key to this play is that he was running on a full sprint. Also, and this is helpful for me, but for all fly ball outs that score a run, Elias Saba reviews to ensure consistency. So, yes, it's a sacrifice fly, and now that I have that info from Elias themselves, that sort of settles this one. Sounds like the guidelines for this definition will be changing, either this season, or certainly for next season.show more

I took this with the intention of sharing it... earlier but wimped out. Changed my mind though because I figured it might help motivate someone. I started running again 4 weeks ago after almost no running in the last 10+ years. In just a month, I knocked out an unofficial half marathon. Not only that, but it felt easy enough to talk 11.5 miles in without being winded. I’m not running fast, in fact I’m really slow at around a 12min/mile pace, but that’s the point I want to make. Running at a low heart rate does amazing things. If you want to try out this style, look up zone 2 training. Or, just go out and do some extended exercise (walk/jog) while keeping your heart rate around 130-145. Walk if you go over that upper end, even I had to when I started. Stay consistent, and you’ll see improvement relatively quickly.show more

AM2R is a triumph. The original Metroid 2 on... Game Boy was my first Metroid game, back when I was about 7. I've since played it about ten times. Over the years I've played all the 2D Metroids over and over, 5 to 20 times each. I don't usually play fan games, but this week I decided to finally give AM2R a shot (on Hard with an Xbox controller), and I gotta say... it's fantastic. It's simultaneously a more faithful remake than Samus Returns, and more satisfying to play and 100% complete. I like Samus Returns alright -- it's probably my least favorite 2D Metroid, still a good game though. But I think AM2R is even better.show more

What’s happening here - partly - is #Humberto is now forecast to be a Cat 5 monster #Hurricane and is exerting an even bigger influence on #Imelda, helping to pull it away like a magnet. Also the upper low in SE is now forecast to be a bit weaker exerting less influence. This is not set in stone, and it may shift back, but it’s a good sign. I remember in high school and college, I would go through magazines and cut out images of women who looked strong and had muscles.
