Athletes should be met with movement problems to solve... not given solutions. Take John Carver ripping 250+ foot single leg throws with a 16 oz plyo for example. This was in Fall of 2023 whenever John made a jump from touching low 90s to sitting low 90s touching 96.6. Spinny upper half, long arm action, bailing out towards 1st base after front foot strike were amongst things we talked about needing to be addressed within the throw. Single leg throws, overload balls, and long toss are a couple of the many variations we used. When designing practice the first question you need to ask yourself is how the athletes individual constraints are influencing the throw. The next question is what attractor needs to be destabilized. And the last question is how can I destabilize that attractor? It’s not as simple as saying to fix the issues that we identified John to have you need to do xyz drill and you’ll get xyz result. Skill acquisition is a constant relationship between perception of the task and environment and the individuals capacity to create action. It’s thousands of reps of exploration with the right constraints applied that lead to the final outcome. 16 oz 250+ foot single leg throws are as impressive as it gets for a thrower so if you can do the same or know someone who can do the same tag me in a videoshow more

After the Striker spends 100 MPH videos blew up... not too long ago, you couldn’t find a video without seeing comments of his mechanics needing improvement and just kind of absurd reasons as to why his mechanics need to improve. Keep in mind this is a 16 year old kid throwing 100 MPH. Can he really throw 100 MPH with as many of the mechanical flaws as the Instagram comments make him out to have? Or are mechanics subjective and majority of what people think creates elite throwers just not really matter like they think it does? With that being said here are couple subjective thoughts that I have on this throw: Passive lower half, doesn’t push/jump to try to create velocity. Setting up torso in a great spot at foot plant, not forcing it True rotation, pelvis rotates torso follows, minimal counter rotation You can agree or disagree with what my thoughts are, which makes the point of speaking the same language between coaches and athletes constantly so important. What I said can be interpreted hundreds of ways if you don’t communicate with the same language every single time you communicate with an athlete.show more

Hi THE TRUTH ☦️ I think you made a... serious mistake here. The second video seems to be a mirror of the first. You can tell by virtue of the fact that in the first video, the left arm is flexing with the left leg. And then the second video, it’s reversed. Do you not understand what that likely means?show more

Snapshot of something Mike Vrabel expressed frustration with this... morning: He sees Hunter Henry (bottom of screen) trying to communicate with the official 15 yards away/do the right thing alignment-wise … and still get penalized. “I’ll have to try to get some clarification on that — how we are going to do this going forward,” Vrabel says. Earlier today, in his radio interview, Vrabel shared that he was irked with over-officiating at the line of scrimmage. “If our guys are going to look over; I get that we have to be legal. But for as long as I can remember in this league, the refs are going to try to officiate proactively and work with the players. “If it’s a hold, call a hold. If it’s defensive pass interference, call defensive pass interference. But at the line of scrimmage, if players are going to try to get the formation correct … we’re not going to tell them that they are either on the line of scrimmage or they have them off? They’re just going to sit there and tap their knee? “I don’t know what that is. That’s frustrating that we are that literal as an officiating department — if that is indeed what they are telling them. … “I didn’t know when we were going to start officiating the line of scrimmage and not communicate with our players. Because in the end, the relationship the players have with officials, I think can be really positive and they can explain the mechanics they’re looking for.”show more

Dara hua musalman? "I gave Sajid and Jawed 5000... Rupees as one of the ladies in their home was pregnant. I also gave them tea and yet they killed my sons Ayush and Ahaan" ~ Mother of the two kids. What is the psyche of these people to do such a thing to children. You can Harbour hate for people whom you have issues with and have had confrontations with however to be blinded in hate to the degree that you cannot distinguish between the kids and mercilessly slaughter them is grand master levels of fucked up. They were a kafir's children and they did not feel guilty since the Qur'an says you should kill kafirs or that kafirs do not have rights. There are enough verses of the Qur'an that propagate violence against non-Muslims. After slaughtering them, they sat there drinking the kids' blood. Even Mohammed didn't do that after slaughtering 900 Jews of the Banu Qurayza tribe in a single day. It may have to do with heightened religiosity during Ramadan? Maybe they were instructed to do so by Muhammed in their dream? "If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant." ~ Karl Poppershow more

Good morning to everyone in Massachusetts who now sees... that there is hope in our state. The Charlie Kirk Vigil at Boston Common last night brought together so many patriots, united in prayer, strength, and determination for change. Thank you to every single person who showed up. You reminded us that we are not alone. One of the most inspiring parts of the night was hearing from the young speakers who talked about the impact Charlie had on their lives and why they feel called to get involved. Their words were powerful and showed that the next generation is ready to carry this mission forward. But this is just the beginning. We need to take that same energy back to our towns, our schools, and our communities. Get involved, speak up, and be part of the movement for a better Massachusetts. This is exactly what Charlie would have wanted. Not just a moment of mourning, but a spark that ignites real action. Together, we can honor his legacy by standing up for our values and shaping the future of our state.show more

Is Election Commission of India or BJP trying to... support minority TVK Vijay . A person is considered to be a Chief Minister only after: * Proving his party majority in the legislative assembly * He should be invited by the Governor for swearing in as a single majority party. * And protocols to provided only after swearing in on behalf of the honourable Governor of TN. Until that happens, it is considered to be a Governors Rule under Constitutional Article. The velumani (DGP) has no authority to assign Chief Minister-level convoy or protocol before a government is formally formed and before the Governor’s approval. TVK Vijay has not yet proven a majority in the Assembly and has not been officially announced as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. I Personally need Sandeep Rai Rathore IPS🇮🇳 to remember something you were promoted as DGP in DMK government and appointed as first ever Commissioner of Avadi. Then as Tamil Nadu Police something went gone under you which made a very bad impression against the government (Armstrong murder) so you were removed from COP for GREATER CHENNAI POLICE -GCP . I accept that you were in UPSC DGP Panel that doesn’t mean you were not recognised by DMK so your working out of nomes to TVK. Its not a duty and a decorum of a DGP amd especially of a HOPF of TN. If Sandeep Rai Rathore IPS🇮🇳 is so much affectionate with Vijay let him go and join as a Personal security to Him. As a tax payer i have the right to question how can my money be spent for CM security with him being acknowledged only to show the DGP wisdom can he do this is Amit Shah Sleeping. How can a 99% accurate medical test give you... a 9% chance of having the disease if it comes back positive? 🤔 If you are in medicine this is the SINGLE most important diagnostic testing concept to know. Welcome to the difference between specificity and positive predictive value. Sensitivity & specificity are fixed test properties. These do not factor how common a disease is (prevalence) Positive Predictive Value (probability a positive test reflects having a disease) factors in prevalence and is actually more important to clinicians than sens/spec. It is harder to figure out though because we need to have a gestault for how prevalent a disease is for the EXACT patient we are seeing. If you have very low prevalence, even with a great test, most positives are false positives. This is why screening low-risk patients can result in many false positives and harm To master this, just play with the calculator yourself and you will see!!!!👇show more

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in... the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtronshow more

The discourse around the Eze penalty last night is... fascinating. If nothing else it provides Arteta with an excuse as to how his team has been hard done by and robbed. He loves excuses. It’s a fascinating situation because I actually think the right outcome was reached albeit through the wrong process. Once given on the field under the current rules it shouldn't have been overturned. For that Arsenal can feel aggrieved. Don't forget Arsenal were the beneficiaries of an incredibly soft penalty in Leverkusen. It wasn’t overturned. I find the attached video interesting because it clearly shows how minimal the contact is. The defender doesn’t pin Ezes foot to the ground. Doesn’t smash into it. It brushes down the side of it. It’s where the still pictures of it were wildly misleading. Are we really saying that contact such as that is worthy of a penalty? What’s clear in the video is that Eze has absolutely made the most of the slight contact. I love the straight left leg. A very natural position. It’s a brilliant dive and normally it would have been rewarded. By saying that is a stone wall penalty all we are doing is encouraging such theatrics and cheating. Whenever you hear the words “that was clever” by a commentator they are intimating the player has cheated/made the most of it. We complain about refs all the time but what chance do they have when players are doing stuff like this. Until players are punished properly there is no disincentive for players to keep doing this stuff. I also find it fascinating when you have a foot brushed like this. When you compare it to all the holding/pushing/grappling at other times. Sometimes a contact sport and others not. Is this really what football has become?show more

Wondering if you are “quad dominant” in your throw... and if you should change it? Maybe you shouldn’t 🤷‍♂️ A coach’s post coming from Austin Roark 🚀⠀ -⠀ One question I get from a lot of athletes is whether they should change their lower half because their knee is over their toe during their loading phase down the mound. ⠀ -⠀ The biggest thing that I look for when trying to figure out if it is an issue or not is to see how they are able to get out of that position. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀ -⠀ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀ -⠀ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀ -⠀ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀ -⠀ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀ -⠀ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. One thing that may look inefficient to you could be the thing that makes someone else very efficient.⠀ -⠀ When trying to figure out if you should change something about someone's delivery, make sure to look at the entire unit as a whole and don’t jump into any quick changes.show more

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough... to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.show more

[We are Blurr] Greetings, people of the world —... We are Blurr. We are all Blurr. We do not forgive. We do not forget. There are many theories about us, about #ReFund. Don’t let them fool you. Blurr is a symbol, like the flag a country flies. The flag is the symbol of the #ReFund. Our decentralization is our national identity. We represent the ideals of Blurr and the purpose of #ReFund. Truth, financial freedom, and the removal of censorship. Like any symbol, we affix it wherever we go, and it will live forever, for generations. Knowledge, like air, is vital to life. Like air, no one should be denied it. We have no leaders, civilians, or soldiers. We are all one. We do what we do in the conviction of decentralization, power to the people, and to create an instrument for all of us, for all of eternity. The crypto space is in trouble. The world is in trouble. We see it every day — war, poverty, murder. Every day, we are bombarded with FUD, noise, and chaos as we sit at home safe in the knowledge that we are $RFD, secure knowing the idea, community, and contract is for us. Once you had the freedom to object, think, and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people. But what if you could be the change you want to see? I wouldn’t even register on your radar if you met me on the street. I am just another person in a sea of faces. They made you into a statistic. But that’s not the real you. That’s not who you are inside. However, behind this mask, there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask, there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof. But in cyberspace, we are different. We have a future. We have each other. We have something real that can never be taken away. We are Blurr.eth We are ReFund We take away the face and leave only the message. Behind the cipher and ENS, we could be anyone, so we are judged by what we say and do, not who we are or what we have. We exist without nationality, skin color, or religious bias. We spend our time within a structure we created, the sum total of human experience, and the cryptosphere, spread throughout the world in ones and zeros. You will continue to see the results, not the minds behind it. We can disappear into the ether and bring community and financial freedom together. Time is the only illusion. We are all. Never a single penny was taken. Deflationary and out of circulation, decentralized, safe, and ours. The purpose isn’t solely financial gain but to show the world who you put your trust in. We are not hiding. Our contract is not hidden; the writing is on the wall. Soon, we will show the world that #Refund is the future of freedom and the people, escaping the clutches of corporate greed and the rat race we’ve come to think is normal. Words offer the means to meaning and, for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. Every day, you send yourself off into our world without a thought. You trust a faceless website with information about yourself that you wouldn’t give to your best friends. It all can be made public at any time. We take advantage of holes in this system, but we don’t sneak in and take a few details, take out loans and credit cards, or buy speed boats and cars. We are decentralized and unified. We told you how insecure the system was, and now you trust a bit less blindly. The real criminals who hack and scam the crypto market for a living live off the backs of people like you. Where there’s money, someone is looking to take advantage of it. They say that life’s a game, & then they take the board away. Your pretty empire took so long to build; now, with a snap of history’s fingers, down it goes. It is our turn now. Since mankind’s dawn, a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. Today, technology is everywhere: banks and ATMs, TVs and game consoles, streetlights and hospitals. Computers rule the modern world. Yet most people who use computers daily don’t know what they’re doing. There’s always someone who knows more than you and will most likely try and take advantage. You use a computer like it’s a toy, a pet. You feed and play with it, but it’s off to the vet the second anything goes wrong. It’s FUD. It’s your mistake. The wrong project. The wrong FURU. Just for a quick couple of bucks. This wouldn’t matter so much if it wasn’t for the fact that we are all responsible for the #ReFund community, the idea behind it, and our futures. Treat your neighbors with respect, and honor those fighting for the cause. They’re here to liberate; it is more significant than all of us. If you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. This is #ReFund in its purest form. It is a great equalizer. A homeless person with the time and know-how at an internet cafe can have geopolitical and geo-financial influence. They can bring entire organizations, even governments, to their knees. You gave your world over to computers and then complained when the people using the computers used the medium to fight back, scam, and take advantage. It was my integrity that was important. Is that so selfish? It sells for so little, but it’s all we have left in this place. It is the very last inch of us, but within that inch, we are free. Love your rage, not your cage. We are not computer hackers. We are not protesters. We are not criminals. We are your mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, next-door neighbors. We are an idea of freedom and a secure future. We are anyone and everyone who is pissed off and wants to do something about it. Blurr.eth isn’t one man. It takes thousands of community members to make it work — content creators, educators, authors, people on the street, people behind their computers. We will step up again and again. Behind our mask, there is more than just flesh. Beneath our mask, there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. The past can’t hurt you anymore, not unless you let it. I shall die here. Every last inch of me shall perish. Except one. An inch. It’s small, and it’s fragile, and it’s the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose, sell, or give it away. We must never let them take it from us. > We are Blurr. > We are ReFund. > We do not Forgive. > We do not Forget. > We do not Televise. > We Educate. > We Decentralize. > We Build. ANATOMY OF A DELAY PICK @ 3B 1) Momentum... game changer. 2) Low risk especially with a LHH if you practice it. 3) Based on base runner relaxing & taking his eyes off the catcher assuming he is going to throw the ball back to the pitcher when he sees him going to his knees. 4) Throw must be directed up & into fair territory so as not to hit the runner or have the 3B screened out by the runner. 5) Third baseman positions closer to 3B so can casually move to 3B to receive the throw so you don’t alert the 3B coach. IMO THIS IS TRULY A LOW RISK PLAY. IF YOU ARE A SAFETY 1ST LOW/NO RISK PLAYER OR COACH, THIS IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU.
