This deserves a thumbs up! 👍 But give me... a moment, my fine motor skills are still developing. As your little one grows, their physical (or “motor”) development happens on two interrelated planes: “Gross motor” development relates to the use of large muscle groups in the arms, legs and core used to balance, crawl, walk and jump (to name a few). And “fine motor” development describes the development of the small and precise muscle movements needed to manipulate your hands, wrists, fingers, feet, and toes. Both categories take time and practice to develop, with fine motor skills tending to trail gross motor skills in their refinement. Which makes sense. Fine motor skills are all about precision. Which leads us to this sweet little guy, who wants to celebrate by flashing a thumbs up to his mom and dad… but requires a little extra time and effort to get his thumbs to cooperate. Fine motor skills are critical to writing/drawing, the use of scissors, and the manipulation of things like buttons and zippers, just to name a few. You can help aid this development by providing lots of safe opportunities for your little one to practice strengthening the muscles of the hands and wrists, for example. Finger paint, crayons, play-doh, and eating utensils are all great options. Anything that will engage these small muscle groups. New library almost done, can't wait to fill it... with all my books 🥰 I've designed and built lots furniture in the past but this has been the most complex and challenging by far. In the past I have mostly worked with plywood. For this project I wanted to build out of solid oak and use Japanese joinery techniques. I don't have time to fabricate complex projects these days, and I wasn't confident enough in my woodworking skills. So I collaborated with a local carpenter. This allowed for so many more interesting design details that I wouldn't have thought of myself. Whatever your furniture needs are, consider being a patron of your local carpenters, cabinetmakers, and woodworkers. Yes it's slower and more expensive than going to IKEA but the process is much more rewarding, and the results will be more unique and long lasting.show more

UPDATE: MADDISON IS GOING HOME!!! 🙏🏻❤️ I have an... incredible update for all of you who have been following Maddison McDonald’s story and stepped up to help this family. MADDISON GETS TO GO HOME! Her mom reached out to me tonight and told me that Maddison is being discharged. They still have a long road ahead. The family has to arrange home health care, pick up her wheelchair and walker, and continue making their home as accessible as possible for her. Doctors also performed another MRI overnight and sent her spinal fluid for more detailed testing. Some of those results could take up to a month to come back. But her mom shared some WONDERFUL news: doctors have been able to rule out cancer, MS, and several other frightening possibilities. PRAISE GOD! 🙏🏻 Her mom also shared that Maddison has damage around L4/L5 involving a bulging disc and continues to deal with loss of function and significant pain. She still has a very long journey ahead of her, and there are still unanswered medical questions. But tonight, she gets to go HOME. ❤️ And I want every single person who donated, shared her story, prayed for her family, or helped them prepare their home to understand something: YOU HELPED MAKE THIS POSSIBLE. When I first shared what this family needed, you showed up. Because of your generosity, they are closer to having the equipment and accessibility Maddison needs to safely live at home while she continues this journey. i spent 4 dollars to make this post Akali... 3H single routing structure with positioning optimizations these range from bnb territory to psychotic, but mainly putting together as an example for combo limits / optimization adjustments on the fly. You can always 2 hit walljump / do single hit jM to reduce some length and maintain the routing if combo time is a concern. For the third and fourth combos, there are 2 versions - one that optimizes for limit strike damage / combo time, and one that sends in extra air normals for 5s2 oki. Just posted both as an example, but routing like this also helps bridge the gap on 5s2 damage if you'd like to use that. Notes: 1) Corner to corner, keep in mind extra normals will increase the pushback and leave you closer to corner by the end, reducing frame adv from the tumble. 2) Nearing corner (starting about 75% of the stage away) adjustment on the ender for when the tumble has less frame adv, just cram in more air normals and save your double jump. 3) Here's where you'll start to see corner adjustments - round start position, this ends up being the starter for max damage midscreen, but if you were to reach the corner after the apex of your second jump loop arc, you can squeeze in extra minimum damage for a notable increase. Fortunately also maximizes corner carry while pushing damage. 4) In corner route. Stupid hard wrt combo time, just posting as an example of combo limits. you can probably just opt for above, but it does get an extra min damage source in. Alternatively, learn an easier combo lol. Have similarly structured stuff for 2H, will probably get to it later.show more
