Day 1 Unified Intelligence is happy to share updates... on our new project. Work has begun on construction of #ArivuKendra Library Building in Alolli village in Chittapur taluk. Located in the Kalaburagi district (formerly Gulbarga district) in the Indian state of Karnataka, it is situated approximately 50 km from Kalaburagi city, the administrative headquarters of the district. Typically the entire material required for construction of this 853 sqft Library using #Ui Panels would have moved in a single 31 feet long truck. But, considering the narrow panchayat roads, we opted to move in 2 separate mini trucks. Local contractors employed by the Government department have prepared the concrete base. Our team was supported by locals in unloading the Ui panels and accessories. Today, the markings as per plan will be completed on the floor. Upon the markings we shall then anchor bolt runners on to the floor. Once that's completed, we become ready to vertically mount the panels as walls of the structure. I shall update on this very exciting project continuously. We will complete the entire building within 15 days with a team of six. The Government of Karnataka plans to have such modern knowledge centres in every panchayat of the state. E Mail: [email protected] Ph: +91 9886339775show more

We built this 2BHK 500 Sqft house in Kanyakumari... with the panels. 5 Tonnes of plastic waste get stored in the walls and roofs of this building forever. The house was built in 5 days with our pre fabricated panels The 8'x4' panels come together in a tongue and groove joint, and then fastened with adhesives and stainless steel nails to become walls and roofs of the house. Each 4 inch thick panel weighs only 85 kgs. These pre-fabricated panels and everything else required for building the house, arrives at the site neatly packed in a single truck. The construction does not use water. Steel square angles are used as a girder, that rests on the load bearing walls to support and hold-fasten the roof panels. Cement fibre boards -bison boards are fastened to the walls after installation. This cover is important to - A. Provides a shield to the UV rays from sun B. Offers fire resistance of 90 minutes to the walls C. Offers a ready surface to paint. The micron thick tiny flakes of MLP when layered in the thermal sheets, offer a great screw holding capacity. We can hang heavy wall mounted furniture-gadgets on the walls. This House was sponsored by the Trust formed by the family of Late CM of Kerala Shri Oommen Chandy. The project is to build 50 homes like this. Each of these homes will be gifted to an economically challenged family in Kerala and TN. Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,... the Federal Government is committed to completing the National Library Headquarters in Abuja. Over the past few months, the Federal Ministry of Education has held several meetings with members of the National Library team and its contractors to discuss the resumption of the project. The project, which was designed in 1981 and began construction in 2006, is the third (3rd) of three national monuments (the National Ecumenical Centre and the National Mosque) that has yet to be completed. This week, my team and I toured the project site with the CEO of the National Library, the project’s architect, and contractor to assess the progress made before construction paused in 2012. By June 2025, we will proceed with Phase 1 of the project, which will include the completion of Basement Levels 1 and 2, the Ground Floor, the Second Floor, and the building's external works and furnishings. Mr. President is deeply passionate about Nigeria’s human capital development, of which education is an integral part. The President has also instructed TETFund to allocate funding towards the project to ensure its resumption and completion. With a National Library, we can provide all Nigerians with a communal learning environment to help them grow and become their best selves.show more

Today, I took the Speaker and Honourable members of... the Anambra State House of Assembly on a tour of some key projects in the heart of the State capital. I particularly enjoyed seeing the awe on their faces as we moved from the Solution fun city to the new Government House and Governor’s lodge. This could not have been possible without their altruistic cooperation towards “Project Anambra”. Together, we shall continue to work for the good of our people. May Anambra continue to win!show more

This is the video of the BBC News Hindi... report on our startup in Bangalore We build extremely weather resilient, super strong, for protected, thermally efficient buildings with a raw material that is an environmental menace - the non recyclable single use plastic waste. The buildings are very cool. The speed of construction is phenomenal. Almost the entire work is done offsite -at our factory. The panels then are transported to site and installed. We construct 1,000 sqft homes within 10 days. We hand over a hotel room every 10 hours. At the #VTU -Visveswaraya Technological University in Hubballi, we built 8 rooms inside a large hall within 3 days. We do NOT USE WATER, SAND, CEMENT, BRICKS or STEEL in our walls both off site and in site. For multi storeyed buildings, one can build the structural framework with RCC or Steel framework. Ui walls can then be quickly mounted. It replaces the brick and mortar/ concrete block work. The Bison boards are fastened to the wall surfaces after installation - that provides the fire rating protection. The walls are built with shredded packets made of MLP. These MLPs are thermally insulating, does not absorb water, does not allow fungus (green and black moss) or termites and borers to settle on the Ui walls because it Offers NO nutrition to the parasites ( in a conventional construction riverbed sand and raw water used in construction have live microbial beings in them. The parasites stick to these walls to feed on it) The thermal insulation properties reduces energy bills of air conditioning buildings built with Ui walls up to 60%. Excellent material for shopping stores, showrooms, classrooms, homes, halls, office, Airbnb homes etc. You may contact us at: E Mail: [email protected] Ph: +91 9886339775show more

Having driven down to Maphisa yesterday to celebrate the... 46th anniversary of Zimbabwe’s Independence I remain deeply concerned about the state of the road to Maphisa. Although construction work has been done on virtually the whole length of the road it is nowhere near finished. In fact for much of the length of the road all that has been done is the grading of either side of what used to be narrow tar. The narrow bridges remain the same and the old narrow tar is in very bad condition. In fact most the road was extremely dangerous. I recognize that contractors are still on site and had parked their construction vehicles to facilitate the high volume of traffic yesterday, so remain hopeful that they will remain on the road until it has been completed all the way from Bulawayo to Maphisa. My fear is that now that Independence Day is over that the contractors will move elsewhere leaving most of the road in a worse state than it was before the work started. I have already had one report of construction vehicles being moved to Masvingo and hope that isn’t going to be a trend. I call on Government to confirm that construction will continue along the entire length of the road and to give an indication when it expects the road to be finished.show more

I am here today to talk about an important... issue facing our City - and in fact - our Democracy: the removal by the National Park Service of a series of interpretive panels from the President’s House exhibit on Independence Mall. We gathered the facts, researched the law, and our course is clear: I directed our City Solicitor to file a lawsuit in Federal Court that would require the Federal government to return the President’s House panels to the City of Philadelphia. A public hearing will be held on Friday on our preliminary injunction request. We will keep you updated on progress with this lawsuit. You cannot erase our history. You will not erase our history! #presidentshouseshow more

📹 Today, I attended the sod-turning event for the... construction of Protea Village in Bishopscourt, Cape Town, and I look forward to returning once construction is complete. The development of Protea Village will see 86 families return to the area after being forcibly removed in the 1960s and 1970s. As the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure, we are proud to have played a role in this project by making the land available for development. Working with all spheres of government, the Department looks forward to supporting similar projects across the country as we continue to restore dignity to communities. #LetsBuildSA 💙🇿🇦show more

#WATCH | Kalaburagi, Karnataka | On his visit to... Central Jail, Kalaburagi, Karnataka Prisons and Correctional Services DGP Alok Kumar says, “This was the second visit of mine after taking charge as Director General, Prison and Correctional Services. There was an incident on 14 July in which three prisoners escaped from here. Kalburgi police and Bidar police have jointly apprehended two criminals, and the third one is yet to be apprehended… Then I reviewed the security situation and gave directions to our prison staff and KSISF also to add certain security features and make changes in our security arrangements… I have given direction with regard to the implementation of correctional services in the prisons… Instead of being very retributive, we have to focus on the rehabilitation, reintegration, and reformation of the prisoners… We have introduced yoga, meditation, and pranayama in all the prisons in Karnataka. We want to bring internal changes in the mindset of the people because unless they are reformed from within, they may again get into such old practices of committing crime once they come out of prison… In the coming days, we will give more emphasis to this in Karnataka prisons… We are introducing certain practices in Karnataka prisons so that our prisons become a better place for prisoners and our prison officers…”show more

The security reality here on NATO's eastern flank depends... on Ukraine. When we applied to join NATO, we were frank: 🇺🇦 is de facto already in the Alliance. Our weapons are the weapons of the Alliance. Our values are what the Alliance believes in. Our defense is the very element of the formula of Europe that makes it united, free and peaceful. Vilnius must confirm all this. We are still working on the wording, that is, on the specific words of such confirmation, but we already understand the fact that 🇺🇦 will be in the Alliance, and we are working to make the algorithm for gaining membership as clear and fast as possible. Our work for this - the work of the entire Ukrainian team - will continue each and every minute of these days.show more

I would like to welcome the government's decision to provide 4% reservation for the 2B section of the Muslim community....but it was a long-standing demand by this community, other communities got reservations since 2017-18, we should also have gotten reservation in 2017-18 itself. Though it's late, but we welcome the decision of the cabinet. In 2025, we got 4% of reservation. That will help the weaker section to grow...I would like to demand the cabinet that they should extend this to other sections of the society as well" (15/03)show more

On an average, a household in urban India generates... approx. 10 gms. of MLP waste every single day. These are typically the covers of various food products ranging from tetra-pack cartons, masala powder covers, milk powder, potato chips - various other FMCG consumables. MLP (Multi - layered packaging material) are NON recyclable plastic waste. Since it cannot be recycled, this waste has NO purchase value at the scrap shops. Even rag pickers ignore it. Every other waste like thick-thin plastic, paper, metal, electric , electronic etc. have resale value ... But not this bloke. Thus the MLP inevitably ends up on landfills, contaminating the soil and eventually, during flows into a water body on its journey to the ocean. There it hurts the marine life , breaks into micro plastics under the UV light rays from the Sun. In a classical RSVP, it gets into the clouds alongwith evaporated water and returns back to earth in rain water. Through water, all of us and the animals and birds, now have micro plastics in our bodies. Many diseases like cancer, etc have been attributed to this non-organic invader inside our bodies. Now, we cannot wish away the MLPs. They do a fantastic job in keeping the potato chips fresh and crispy for 6 months. A boon to the supply-chain of FMCG products. They are available as a raw material to the food processing. FMCG industries in abundance. Also, an environment friendly commercially viable alternate material in large quantity is not seen in the distant horizon. So, along with 2 other professionals we launched our start-up to address this problem. Ui- Unified Intelligence Pvt Ltd is the execution wing of our venture. Vaspar foundation is our not-for-profit foundation that lodges the innovation center. Here we are always working on developing multiple new products and solutions aimed at creating large scale employment. At the factory MLP waste covers brought in from dry waste collection centres are shredded, washed and then loaded on a sheet making unit that presses out 8'x4' sized sheets of a variety of thickness. As the sheets cool down, we get a light weight thermoset sheet that are extremely strong and have fantastic mechanical and thermal properties. The MLP waste are from food grade plastic and thus have almost zero VOC. Also, the sheets are wonderful heat insulators. We sandwich 3 sheets of these between honeycomb structures made of the same material to create structurally integrated construction grade panels. These 100 mm thick panels are then covered on all sides with 8mm cement boards to form a skin. These are ready to paint surface, are standard construction materials with fire resistance rating of 2 hours. These panels become the walls and roof of our building. The floor is a 6" concrete layer. We build homes, terrace living space, dormitories , class rooms, auditoriums, compound walls, public toilets etc. with these panels. At the rate of 10 grams of MLP packets that we throw out as waste from our homes per day, in a single year each home generates 3,650 grams (10 grams x 365 days) So if an apartment has 10 dwelling units, in a year the residents discharge 36.50 Kgs of MLP waste into the environment Last week we installed this tiny security cabin in our Apartments in Bangalore. There are 10 flats here . This 5'x5'x8' cabin was constructed with our panels in under 6 hours. The weight of the MLP waste consumed in the panels for the cabin is 500kgs. THAT is around 14 years of #MLP waste discharged together by all the VIRGO residents - is now stored in the walls of the cabin as our panels. The cabin has a life of 50 years. We 10 families , in our apartment thus atoned for our 'plastic-guilt' to an extent. For inquiries, E Mail [email protected]show more

In 2014, Senator Chris Murphy bragged about the United... States successfully overthrowing Ukraine's government: "I think it was our role, including sanctions and threats of sanctions, that forced, in part, Yanukovych from office." "We have not sat on the sidelines. We have been very much involved. Members of the Senate have been there. Members of the State Department have been on the Square." "The Obama administration passed sanctions. The Senate was prepared to pass its own set of sanctions, and as I've said, I think that the clear position of the United States has, in part, been what has helped lead to this change in regime." "If, ultimately, this is a peaceful transition to a new government in Ukraine, it will be the U.S. on the streets of Ukraine who will be seen as a great friend in helping make that transition happen." "There is a U.S. interest here. We are in the middle of negotiating a new trade agreement with Europe. To my state, it's enormously important. We do 40% of our trade in Connecticut with Europe." "If Ukraine is part of the EU and thus is part of this new trade agreement with the United States, that could result in billions of dollars in new economic opportunities for the U.S." "So, we do have an economic interest in Ukraine being a part of the EU, and we shouldn't be shy about making that interest clear."show more
