One of our other pregnant goats just delivered! Luck... has not been on our side though. We had to call our Dr. Pol out because the first one was breached and I couldn't get it. He eventually got it. The second baby was stuck in the uterine horn and doc struggled with it. It was dead even before it was delivered. So 2 girls, but only one survived. Yesterday, within the walls of Al-Awda Hospital, a woman... arrived who had tragically lost her life after a shell targeted her home. To our shock, we discovered she was nine months pregnant. Overwhelmed with both sorrow and hope, we decided, with simple means and basic equipment, to perform a cesarean section to save the baby. Miraculously, we managed to bring the child into the world, healthy and strong. But our joy was incomplete; his mother had died before he could know her, before he could feel her love and warmth. Five people were injured after a shooting this evening... in Northeast DC, making this DC’s first mass shooting less than 72 hours into the New Year. DC Police were called out just before 8:20pm to the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE in Eckington DC. On scene, a female and two men were found injured… they are all last reported to be conscious. Police are determining if one of the people were shot or injured by glass from the gunfire. Additionally, two men showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. Moved to Dubai a month ago… Then two drones... exploded next to our building, I was listed #3 on the UAE public prosecutor’s list for “publishing illegal content” (the video of the Fairmont on fire that got 1.7m views) resulting in my X account being banned across the country, followed by another week of hiding in the basement due to constant barrages of missiles and drones. Then a couple days ago after Marina 23 and the airport got hit I decided we’ve pushed our luck far enough. Made our way over the border into Oman the night before last and flew out this morning. If you want kids, have 2. And make sure... they are 14-18 months a part. It’s a life hack Until they are both at least two, life will be hard. But once they are that age, throw them in the same room together. Encourage them to be best friends. And then watch as the fruit of your labor multiplies.
