First major Tahoe PR for Ghostty, first addressing the... most visually obvious things: titlebar/tab styling. Everything adapts except `titlebar-style = tabs` looks pretty different. I think it's kind of nice, though! Ignore the bg color glitches, they're just screenshot artifacts. There's definitely some readability issues, and glass doesn't look great when there's nothing actively animating underneath it. Those are both not currently my problem, though, and I hope that Apple addresses them in future betas.show more

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it... was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.show more

16 time PGA Tour winner Justin Thomas on the... Philly golf scene getting ready to play Cricket Club tomorrow “It's spectacular. Obviously I would love to play some of the other courses: I haven't played Merion. I'm honestly kind of bummed that I hadn't played here beforehand because I selfishly would have tried to go play Merion while I was here, but I feel like it's in my best interest and my job to play the golf course that I'm playing this week. I feel like obviously to me, it's just a different style and a different look of golf up here. There's a place that's really close by that I was driving past, and they all look so cool. I kind of think of it similar to like in Scotland or Ireland: there's no bad golf courses it seems like you can play, you know what I mean? They all look so unique. They have the old templates, the old kind of architecture and the crazy green complexes, the bunkering. Just something about the bent fairways and the rye, bluegrass rough, how it just kind of shapes the hole. It looks really cool. I think that there's so many, so many great courses that I'm sure we could have tournaments like this at, but just the infrastructure and the property itself don't allow for all of it. So it's cool that we get to come to a new place like this and experience it and play it.”show more

About 99% of my friends are in tech, corporate,... or self-employed. We all share the dumbest posts I've shared every now and then during parties. The one thing we like to talk about for laughs "Black culture is superior and it dominates everything." We all look at each other and it's damn sure not corporate culture or work ethics. There are no competitive black-owned organizations that can claim to be the genesis of corporate culture or work ethics. It's definitely not country. Most dudes don't sag their pants. Is it just music? There's definitely not a movement where Asians are claiming to be some Zulu king or the first Nigerians.show more

While I have premium I definitely want to do... a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. The first expansion scene has WAY more that I want to talk about honestly. Far more than this one has. It will probably be a really long post now that I think about it...show more

Evelyn is back! The procedures went well. They did... not pull her chest tubes, but I was kind of expecting that. Her new anatomy looks good. The most immediate concern with her blood flow turned out to not be an issue, thank God. There's a low chance that she'll need another surgery in a few months. They don't anticipate this, but it is possible if some of her pressures don't level out. Without going into great detail, this is what's causing most of the fluids on her left lung. The left lung itself has some significant issues. It is unlikely that surgery will correct the issues. For the foreseeable future, she'll require a whole lot of chest therapy and likely use either CPAP or BIPAP at night. The good news is that pulmonology is now actively involved in her care. That's something we've asked for over the past few years. TL;DR Evelyn's heart catheter and bronchoscopy went well. Her heart is functioning as expected. She has long-term lung issues that are being addressed. As always, I truly appreciate everyone's prayers, support, and love for my daughter, me, and my family.show more

"My dad forgot my name last Thursday. He looked... at me for a long time and I could see him trying and I smiled and said it's okay Dad and meant it and didn't mean it. Yesterday I brought Bruno to visit. Dad was in his recliner staring at the window the way he does when he's somewhere we can't follow. Bruno walked in. Dad turned. And his whole face — his whole face — became the face I grew up with. He reached out both hands. He said Bruno's name perfectly. Clearly. No hesitation. He said it the way you say the name of something you have loved so long it lives below the place the disease can reach." He held Bruno's face in both hands for a long time. He talked to him. Full sentences. Things I haven't heard from him in months. He said — "There's my boy. There he is. I knew you'd come." I sat in the corner of that room and I let them have it and I didn't make a sound because some things are not for witnessing loudly. My dad has Alzheimer's. Some days he knows me. Some days he is somewhere I cannot find him. But he always knows Bruno. Every single visit. Every single time. Bruno walks in and my father comes back to the surface like something in him refuses to forget the one who never left. I don't know what that is. I don't know the name for it. I just know that Bruno walks into that room and my father says his name and for a few minutes I have my dad back. That's everything. Some days that's just everything. Drop a ❤️ for Dad. And for Bruno who finds him every single time in places I can't reach.show more

Kitten update #30: Whoever recommended the boxing bag toy,... it's been a hit! Of course my girl Lilith is the first to let her paws go. The kitties got to come into the studio for the first time yesterday. I now many of you are waiting for the inevitable stream and hoping the kitties will participate, but there's a bit of a problem a studio means cables everywhere, and (as I discovered) they can't be trusted around them. I can't take my eyes off them for a second. How do people protect their cables from kittens? It was never a problem with the puppies because they hated being scolded and learned fast not to touch them, but the kitties just look at me and laugh and stare me in the eye while taking a big chomp. Is there a non-duct tape solution?show more

People keep saying, "You've been talking about her for... two years, and she hasn't said anything." So what exactly are you expecting me to do? Stay silent and pretend nothing happened? Am I not allowed to speak about how I feel I was used and betrayed in that marriage? Am I not allowed to talk about my own pain, my experiences, what I lost, or how I believe I was lured into coming to this country? Why is it that some people believe only one side should have a voice? Some of you are uncomfortable because these issues are now in the public domain. You would rather everyone acted as though nothing ever happened and quietly moved on. But that's not how life works. People process painful experiences differently, and some choose to speak about them. If you expected complete silence after everything that happened, then you're going to be disappointed. This journey isn't over yet. And yes I just recovered my old phone today.show more

So many times in anime and movies, someone jumped... in the air for an attack and the guy dodged the attack while he was in the air, so he redirected the hit of the attack, he definetly would have not landed like a braindead bot without trying to turn and hit the enemy, so it totally makes sense. The AI looks more dynamic, it's looks alive and that's cool. So that attack is totally so natural in my book. As I said, we could discuss about other attacks and the tracking of them in Ninja Gaiden 4, but that one ? I would die on a hill to say that attack is totally legit and I'm so glad that it is exactly like this. Like I absolutely defend NG2 Alexei, Volf, Liz and other bosses attacks. I could mention also NG2, NG3RE, Nioh , Wo Long and Stranger of Paradise, because in so many years, I NEVER saw anybody complaining about the SAME KIND of thing and attack like in those games, but when it comes into NG4, people will find any EXCUSES to hate it and find issues, even when there are not. But some people that are just happy to find something to bring on their NG4 hater agenda. Here some quick examples and most of those people that are complaining about that attack in NG4, are the same that praise those games, only because there no Ninja Gaiden name on it, so there is no hate agenda to bring on vs them 😅show more

❗️A THREAD >> TL;DR several etsy shops sell widgets... that are based on the code they stole from my asset, additionally just dozens of copycats blatantly steal any new original idea some ppl could've seen dozens of similarly looking designs of "liquid goals" on etsy - most of them (not all codewise) originate from one single asset I've put out there in 2023 :D I noticed one widget long time ago on the stream and got a lil confused, because it looks similar to mine, animations are 1:1 (and I remember them FRAME BY FRAME, because I MADE THEM) but it wasn't mine, huh? and then I jumped into the rabbit hole of dozens of assets that were made on the code carcass I made and those people were successfully milking it for years in all the shapes possible examples below are from shops Mynn Yori / Hana Yori and notorious Multiverse Valley, who were already called out for stealing and selling other artists work multiple times CSS code from both are 89% / 98% similar to mine, the difference is just renaming classes like "dropshadow" instead of "bottomshadow" and some values adjustments heh and the thing that pmo me the most is that those ppl couldn't even just copy the idea and make it themselves, huh? besides of those on the screenshot, I don't care about other creators selling the same goal design because I see that they at least made it on their ownshow more

Back when I had nothing… I was a nobody... to most people. TBH, my parents didn't even see me getting to where I am today. It's just the truth, the chips were stacked for my sister. Not me. But it's just not the reality today. However, there was ONE person in my life that didn’t see me that way. My significant other saw something in me before a lot of things. Before all my wins. Before the $. Before any proof. And honestly… that means a lot to me, if not the most of all. I’ve always been wired a little different. I’m a mix of finance, engineering, and tech, with a sprinkle of obsession. I learned and studied from the best. Warren Buffett for how to invest. Elon Musk for work ethic and where the future is going. And once I saw it… I went all in. Bc when you truly understand what you own… you don’t need 20 bets. What you really need is conviction and just a few bets. That’s how I approached everything in my life. All the way from Apple… to Tesla… to 𝕏… to xAI… and now SpaceX. I believe I have an eye for spotting the best entrepreneurs and companies early, before it becomes obvious to everyone. And when I see it, I back it 100%. That’s just who I am. I don’t need a big circle. I’ve already got my day ones. I don’t need approval. I grew up my whole life with doubt and hate, so what’s one more? At this point, the levels are just too different. And yeah… it's true, it actually gets harder to make new friends when you’re moving like this. So I stay loyal to the ones who were there when I had nothing. I made it with Apple - youngest in, youngest out. Then I made it with Tesla… while people were laughing, doubting, calling me crazy, telling me I was going to go bankrupt with Elon. Fast forward to today, now I'm heading into something even bigger. If the story plays out the way it’s shaping up… SpaceX could have the largest IPO in history this year. The company is talking about raising over $75B… at a $1.75-$2 trillion valuation. For context… the biggest IPO ever - Saudi Aramco - raised about $29B. This would be more than double that. Let that sink in deep. To me this is more than just an investment. This is owning a piece of the future of space, energy, AI... extending the light of consciousness forward in case something happens to Earth. People can call me crazy. People can call me cocky. Arrogant. But the people that actually know me know the truth - I’m just real AF. I say what I believe, and I stand on it. And I genuinely don’t care what people think. I have two middle fingers always held high for those kind of people. That’s probably why I’ve been able to win the way I have. My significant other tells me to slow down sometimes. And I get it. But for me… What’s the point of life if you play it safe? If you see an opportunity that can change everything… and you just sit back? That’s not me. I’d rather go all in on something I believe in… live with intensity… take the hits… and actually feel alive and live life with fulfillment. Laugh if you want, doubt if you want. Some play it safe, a few go all in. You can call it risky. You can call it stupid. You can call it crazy. I call it living. Bc at the end of the day, I'd rather go all in on something I believe in and fail... than spend my life wondering "what if."show more

Your hardware startup doesn't need another funding round. It... needs a one-way ticket to Shenzhen The talent pool is vast and affordable, I watched two students build an entire automated tennis ball feeder prototype for the founders who started the company. Two students in a few month. The whole thing... Some areas in shenzhen offer almost no taxes for businesses and even free office space. There's an exchange center that connects foreign founders with manufacturers, partners, and lawyers for free. You don't even need initial capital to start production. Some manufacturers I connected with will produce without upfront costs and co-design with you to make the product successful. They'll drive an hour to pick you up, spend three hours taking you to factories, and dedicate an entire day getting everything set up. They're not just service providers, they’re investing in you. And the people are genuinely kind. I had issues with a power supply for my motor components, and even when they were busy, they stayed with me until it was resolved. and they work until the task is perfectly done. 996 is pretty much the norm here, but they don't seem burnt out because there's each others support, working together like a group of friends on a project. If you're building hardware, Shenzhen isn't just an option. It's the obvious oneshow more

I mean you do have a very good point,... however I hope you can understand where I come from. (Sorry I’m advance for the long tweet back) This is exactly what I use to do when I was their age. We didn’t have the luxury of an independent scene we do now and even if we did I was 14 years old, I was only allowed to go to a training school to learn the basics. But I had an enormous passion for the business & if I wasn’t allowed to work shows I’d do it myself. - and I’d argue that because of this I had a head start on a lot of the people I trained with when I finally turned 18 From there I’ve been lucky enough to have the support of friends, peers & fans to push me into what I am today. The fact I’ve still had that same style for now 17 years and this is my first surgery, I think I’ve looked after my body. Think about it 17 years this is my first major injury. You think this is stupid, I would say it’s equally as stupid as to fall off a scaffolding breaking both your legs. And while I’m sure there’s a few people that wished you landed on your head, I for one hope you’re doing well & not in too much pain from your injury. But to me, it showed the care that you have for the industry at that time. I see myself in these guys that are finding any outlet to do what they love. Their bumps are solid & basing is great. Like I said I understand there is a level of danger doing this so I hope none of them get hurt but I can’t help but root for these guys and hope I one day see them in a ring. Once again sorry for the long arse tweet and hope the message finds you well boss.show more

I just built my own wiki generator plugin for... my agents. My agents can now generate wikis for anything I ask. One of my favorite wikis is called PaperWiki. This is a great example of what Andrej Karpathy describes. It uses obsidian vaults to organize papers, retrieve LLM-generated summaries, diagrams, and other advanced views for paper exploration. When Obsidian UI is not enough, I use my own artifact generator inside my agent orchestrator (see clip for example). This allows my agents to build any kind of view or exploration feature that I need. The papers are all curated with automations and several rules/patterns I have manually built over the years. On the surface, this looks basic. But behind the scenes, there are advanced search capabilities, connections, metadata, derived data, and other interesting bits of information that are extremely useful for my research agents. This is mostly built for agents. The artifact preview is just a high-level way to validate and quickly assess the quality of the wiki, suggest improvements, and it's also great for research. I use tobi lutke's qmd for all search capabilities. Everything is markdown. The summaries and even the diagrams. The wiki updates on its own based on several automations I have optimized over the past couple of weeks. The wiki grows and self-improves based on several requirements important for my research use cases. This is as personalized as it gets. There is nothing like it out there. And I use my research expertise to continue improving it over time. This is a vanilla wiki. There are so many things I want to build on top of this. Different aggregations, views, artifacts, etc. All to help automate more of my research work and accelerate productivity. I think the biggest leverage here is how powerful this could be for discovery and experimentation. One of my goals is to use it to find deeper connections and insights that would otherwise elude the top human researchers and use those to generate interesting new hypotheses and research experiments. That way, my agents can use autoresearch to explore research ideas at the frontier. Stay tuned for more.show more

On the paper, there's a clear count of how... many times fans tilted their heads toward Ling (L), toward Orm (O), or toward both (LO) while taking photos during the first FMT in Bangkok. And when you look at Orm’s numbers, it's painfully low 🙂 First of all, I completely disagree with and feel very disgusted by this kind of behavior. What pisses me off even more is the double standard. Why is it that when Orm is the one being hurt, people tend to stay silent, as if it’s normal? Yet when it happens to someone else, suddenly the outrage is everywhere. Why is that? Because Orm is humble? Because she always smiles and pretends to be okay, so people think it’s fine to overlook her pain? Orm has been enduring this kind of treatment since the very beginning. It’s not something recent. It’s not something that happened once. It’s been happening again and again, and it’s still happening now. None of Orm’s fans are okay with this, I am not okay with this too, honestly sick of it. But I’ve accepted that, with a fandom this big, we can’t control everything. Still, there are many people who respect both of them, and that gives me a bit of peace But let’s be clear, accepting pain doesn’t mean it’s justified. So to those out there playing the “victim card” while turning a blind eye to everything Orm has been through.... You want to talk about fairness? Then let’s talk about Orm first 🙂show more

Brooks Koepka leaving LIV Golf is an obvious blow... to the league. But, it would be a considerably bigger blow if Bryson DeChambeau were to do the same. Bryson is contracted through the end of 2026, but he’s currently in discussions to extend early. Speaking exclusively to Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf, he spoke about the current situation: “I mean, look, it's confidential. I’m not going to share too much, but the conversations are in process. We have to get to a place where both parties have a good understanding of one another. It is getting to a place that makes sense for both sides. “And, I think that can happen, but you never know. Life throws curve balls and, obviously, we saw what happened today (Brooks Koepka leaving LIV Golf) and that was quite a shock to a lot of people and something that, you know, it is what it is. “People make decisions for whatever their needs and wants are and, ultimately, you have to respect it and move on and it feels like it was a mutual understanding and that's great. “I think that as a league now we have more opportunity to make some movements and I think that team has an opportunity to do some things differently than the past few seasons. So, we'll see where it all goes and where it all leads. Ultimately, it's quite interesting.” It certainly is interesting. Throughout the season, LIV Golf officials were trying desperately to convince media members that Brooks was happy and committed to the league and his franchise, when perhaps they were actually just trying to convince themselves. So, were the players aware he felt this way and did they expect the news to come so soon, before the end of his current contract? “There was always rumblings, but ultimately, it was a shock when I saw it today. I was like, whoa, all right, well, didn't know it was going to happen today. I didn't have that on my bingo card for the 23rd of December. “There's also, people can look at it as an opportunity. I always look at it as when one door closes another opens, right? And, I'm not going to speak for LIV, but I think that's what we're thinking of, at least from my perspective. If I was running the league, I'd look at it as an opportunity, not in a negative or positive way. It's just, it is what it is, right?” Bryson makes an interesting point. Brooks was never really committed to his captaincy of Smash GC or building a franchise, so perhaps a change of leadership and the opportunity that offers is actually a positive. There’s no point in having a big name player on the league if he’s not even prepared to wear his own team branding. So, now that Brooks has officially left, does Bryson think Brooks should be allowed back onto the PGA Tour? “I don't know, man. I don't know what they should allow or not… If they're going to be doing it by the book, they should do it by the book and not give any special exemption. But if there's a special exemption, it definitely opens the doors for others to do the same, which, you know, it's a slippery slope for sure.” Currently, no official pathway back to the PGA Tour for Brooks Koepka has been announced. So, any decision that is made will definitely be something all players on the LIV Golf League will be paying very close attention to. Follows on in a quote of this post. So, you wanna be a big shot, huh? Well,... let me tell you a secret: the key to success is being consistent, even when it's super boring and the results take forever to show up. It's like waiting for paint to dry, but instead of paint, it's your dreams. And, spoiler alert, it's not all sunshine and rainbows - there's gonna be some serious discomfort involved. But, hey, that's where the magic happens, right? The thing is, most people give up because they're not seeing immediate results. They're like, "I did the thing, where's my prize?" Well, let me break it to you: the prize is in the process. Every small step you take, every tiny effort you put in, it all adds up. It's like putting pennies in a piggy bank - it doesn't seem like much at first, but before you know it, you've got a whole lot of pennies. So, here's the deal. If you want to be a great man (or woman, or whatever), you gotta be willing to put in the work. And I don't mean just going through the motions, I mean really putting in the effort. Because, let's be real, the only way to get better is to face the discomfort head-on and keep moving forward. And, hey, don't forget to enjoy the ride. It's okay to take a step back, look at how far you've come, and be like, "Whoa, I'm crushing it!" But don't get too comfortable - there's still a lot of work to be done. Anyway, that's my two cents. Have a great week, I guess. #Web3 #DeFi #Ethereum #StarkNet #Crypto #ETH #Bitcoin #BTC #zycotshow more

I feel weird even bringing this up, but here... we go. Subscriptions are open on my page. There is no graceful way to say that, so please take this with a kind heart. I know a lot of people are struggling financially, and I don’t want anyone stretching themselves for me. I have a great job. I’m just letting people know it exists because some of you asked. I’m not even saying I’m worth the money. I’ll be honest, I’m not the best person to subscribe to. I’m not an OnlyFans girl, I’m not teaching you how to get monetized, I’m not running a masterclass in anything. The subscriber section is literally just more personal, everyday stuff. It’s boring in a comforting way. You’re not missing anything. If you ever feel like hanging out with me on the quieter side of this app, it’s there. If not, all good. I just wanted to put it out there for anyone who might be interested. Pro tip: if you subscribe to anyone, please do it on a browser. If you do it through the Apple Store or the Google store, they take 30% and put it in their pocket. Those companies are rich enough. I have a real problem with them getting any money or subscribers. I didn’t know that when I first started subscribing to people. PS: if you are a current subscriber or a new subscriber, please go to my homepage and click on the subs tab. I post content there, but it doesn’t automatically show up in your feed. PPS: Please don’t be nasty to me in the comments if you don’t want to subscribe. I’m not a mean person. I can’t think of a humble way to tell people. This wasn’t easy for me to write.show more
