BREAKING NEWS: Today at exactly 2:15 PM, a chopper... reportedly crashed near Mwihoko Secondary School, directly opposite Ngatho AIPCA Church. According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft was seen spiraling down before hitting the ground with a loud bang that shook the entire area. Some passengers on board were seen attempting to escape using parachutes, but unfortunately, it was too late. A heavy military presence swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the growing crowd and secure the area. Several nearby houses caught fire due to the crash, but the Fire Brigade managed to contain and extinguish the flames before further damage could occur. #VCFD along with our partners at Ventura City Fire,... Oxnard Fire and Santa Paula PD responded to a working structure fire in Santa Paula this morning. Arriving crews were met with heavy smoke and flames showing from the residence with reports of a victim trapped. FFs conducted a rapid and aggressive primary search to locate the victim who was ultimately discovered to have escaped on her own. 2 patients were treated for minor injuries and transported to an area hospital. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.show more

Just before 12:30 Monday afternoon, the FDNY responded to... a 4-alarm fire at 44-49 College Point Boulevard in Queens. Tragically, four people lost their lives in this fire. Two other victims were transported to area hospitals in critical condition. During operations, a stairwell collapsed, trapping two of our members. They were transported to area hospitals in stable condition. More than 230 firefighters and EMS personnel responded. “This is a difficult and tragic day. There were several victims in this fire. The Fire Department did an extraordinary job under difficult circumstances, putting this fire out and saving people. I can't thank them enough for their continued efforts and commitment to life safety,” said Fire Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore. “Upon arrival, we had heavy fire on all three floors of this building. There was a victim trapped on the second floor, which our members removed with a portable ladder. As our engine companies were moving in from the first floor and up the stairs to the second floor, the stairs collapsed, and those two members were trapped in the stairs. With additional help, we were able to extricate those members. As all that is happening, other members are performing CPR on the victims in the street,” said Chief of Fire Operations Kevin Woods. The fire was placed under control just before 2:45 p.m. FDNY Fire Marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.show more

All passengers boarded trains by 4 PM on 19th October and reached their home on Diwali day to celebrate Diwali with their families and loved ones. The coordinated efforts are taken to avoid unregulated crowd. A dedicated holding area was created and a large number of ticket counters are provided for the convenience of passengers.
