While I have premium I definitely want to do... a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. OK I'm gonna be real with you-- I've been... under the impression that screen protectors are all basically the same thing, the only real difference being the applicator tool that comes in the box. But JSAUX has changed my opinion with their new (slightly silly named) Obsidian AR Screen Protector. I've been using it for about a month now after removing my old screen protector and here are my thoughts What it does - Reduces direct reflections quite a bit - Makes colors appear darker/more rich - Protects the screen What it doesn't do - Angled reflections don't seem to be reduced much? - Doesn't make the screen bulletproof lol They also claim it's fingerprint and smudge proof but I haven't really had that issue with any of my screen protectors so 🤷 It's challenging to show just how much nicer this screen protector is but the video does a pretty decent job I think JSAUX's Obsidian AR Screen Protector for Switch 2 isn't currently available on Amazon (and according to them it won't be for.. awhile? The importance of pointing the AirFanta Wear personal air... purifier accurately. You need to point the center of the Wear's airflow at your breathing zone. Otherwise you won't get any benefit from the device. This is just a visualization using the mist from an ultrasonic nebulizer to stand in for unfiltered ambient air. In the demonstration the air is not completely still due to the output of the nebulizer. But the air flow may be similar to cross currents that might be found in indoor settings. AirFanta has shown a number of different ways to position the Wear, but hasn't given exact numbers for distance as far as I know. I'm using a distance of 2 inches or less as a rule of thumb, with the center of the device pointed at my breathing zone. The 3/4 position feels like it's one that people may be the most interested in because it can let you eat while at the same time maintaining a close proximity to the output. The Wear is not meant as a one-to-one replacement for a respirator grade mask. It's best for situations where you were not going to be wearing a mask at all, but would still like to breathe cleaner air. Avoid risk compensation, which is where you take on more risk because you think you are more protected than you actually are. For instance, visiting a nephew sick with measles without an N95 mask because you think the Wear will give you equal protection. Maintaining the correct distance and orientation between the Wear and your breathing zone requires conscious effort. The Wear can reduce your overall exposure to airborne contaminants, but it needs to be used very close to breathing zone and needs to be very accurately centered.show more

Do you walk when you play golf? If so,... do you use a push cart or carry your clubs? If you're doing either, you should definitely give an electric cart a try. It's a total game changer. Using an electric cart is so much easier than carrying or pushing. You’ll have way more energy by the end of the round. For me, that's huge because when my legs get tired, my swing and contact suffer. Plus, I still get all my steps in, which is why I love walking when I play. Sure, you can carry your clubs. I sometimes do that for a quick nine holes. And yes, a manually powered push cart works too. But it's like playing golf in non-waterproof shoes—it’s possible, but keeping your feet dry is so much nicer. That’s how I feel about an electric cart. I can play without one, but having one makes the experience so much better. I love how much more energy I have at the end of the round when I use an electric cart. So many times in anime and movies, someone jumped... in the air for an attack and the guy dodged the attack while he was in the air, so he redirected the hit of the attack, he definetly would have not landed like a braindead bot without trying to turn and hit the enemy, so it totally makes sense. The AI looks more dynamic, it's looks alive and that's cool. So that attack is totally so natural in my book. As I said, we could discuss about other attacks and the tracking of them in Ninja Gaiden 4, but that one ? I would die on a hill to say that attack is totally legit and I'm so glad that it is exactly like this. Like I absolutely defend NG2 Alexei, Volf, Liz and other bosses attacks. I could mention also NG2, NG3RE, Nioh , Wo Long and Stranger of Paradise, because in so many years, I NEVER saw anybody complaining about the SAME KIND of thing and attack like in those games, but when it comes into NG4, people will find any EXCUSES to hate it and find issues, even when there are not. But some people that are just happy to find something to bring on their NG4 hater agenda. Astra (GPT-6) is here!!! I've had early access and... tested it like crazy with things like games, code, writing, browser control, presentations and general knowledge work. And I don't just mean only playable, these are actually fun games. I bet if someone with a great eye for games used Astra, they could create a viral game within 1-2 weeks. > Astra is better at writing but not perfect. It removes much of the "AI Smell" we're all familiar with but some stink still survived. > It has a tendency to use the same design colors and look/feel as GPT-5.6 (forrest green anyone?) but it is more steerable in design than previous models. > It's highly steerable in general. A little nudge goes a long way. When I first started using Astra, almost every task I gave it would go for ~30 minutes. I wanted it to keep working. A friend of mine just recently got his first... gun, a striker fired Glock 19. He is terrified to leave a round chambered. To anyone reading this who has this same fear, I want to alleviate your concerns. I'm going to explain why there is nothing to be afraid of. First and foremost, I fully understand your concern. It's not irrational. And you're not stupid for being nervous about a bullet being aimed at your leg with the striker cocked back under spring tension about an 1/8 of an inch from the primer. I get it. I shared this concern when I was new to carrying. But your fear is due to a lack of understanding of the internal safety features of a modern striker fired handgun. On a properly maintained modern striker fired pistol the striker CANNOT hit the primer on the chambered round without the trigger being pulled. Can't. Not shouldn't. Can't. (If you have any good Sig P320 jokes, this is the proper place to share them) There is a block that the striker will hit and stop if it is released without the trigger being depressed. It works just like a lock and key. There is a channel in the blocker that the striker can pass through if it is in the fire position. It only goes into the fire position if the trigger is pulled which pushes the blocker into the fire position. A spring keeps the blocker firmly in the block position until then. The blocker is a solid piece of steel that won't break. And if your gun is securely in a hard sided Kydex holster nothing can move the trigger unless it is unholstered. Many guns like Glocks have a trigger safety that prevents the trigger from moving due to force of dropping. Your finger has to be on the trigger safety to move it. So the gun cannot fire unless you pull the trigger. And it's easy for you to test this safety feature to see how it works! See the video below. You can try to push the striker forward by moving that piece at the back of the slide forward. That piece is the back of the striker. Push it forward and it will stop. The tip won't come out through the breach. You see it trying to come through but it gets stuck. Now push that little button in. That is the actual blocker. When you push it in you will now be able to move the striker forward through the breach and see how it will strike the primer. You can test this easily every time you disassemble your pistol to verify it is still working. You can break this safety feature by removing the blocker or losing the spring. But if it's there it will work. (You would be the first person in firearms history who has ever lost a spring. Literally the first one. It has never happened before. 😐) But it doesn't come out as part of regular maintenance. You have to disassemble the firing assembly to get it out. That won't happen by accident. And if you do that on purpose you should do this blocker test when you reassemble it to make sure the safety feature is working. My video shows a Glock slide. All Glocks will look like this. Other brands may put the blocker in a different spot or it may be a slightly different shape. But they all (mostly) have the same design. If you test yours as demonstrated and it works like mine does, your gun WILL NOT fire without pulling the trigger. But, if Force = Mass x Acceleration, will he look to add more mass again and what’s more important, increasing acceleration or gaining mass? “They're both very important. If you don't have any mass, you can't accelerate it. It's a symbiotic relationship. It's actually more like F equals M V squared, that’s more of the velocity side of it. “You can accelerate too, but what I would say is the most important thing is it's not necessarily the mass or the acceleration, it’s the ability to put pressure onto the club. So you're able to apply pressure and control that through your grip strengths around a circle, that's probably the more important piece. Applying controlled pressure to the golf club like grip pressure. “It's not that you just accelerate the club, because you have to learn how to control the face through that motion as well. So it's all, you know, you can say it's acceleration, but it's a lot of grip pressure stuff. The more you control the grip pressure and how you're moving that grip, I would say that’s more the answer to your question. “And I guess at a certain point there’s dimishning return with, you know, going up in the mass and even down in the mass. There is a sweet spot for swinging a golf club. If you get a speedstick, there's just not enough mass behind it to create the smash factor necessary, and vice versa if it is too heavy, you can’t swing it that fast. “I'll always say swinging and accelerating the club is probably the most important, but the real answer is applying the most pressure to the golf club. You do not need to be in the gym... six days a week. Doing so will reward you with worse progress, not more. Here's why: Fatigue accumulates. Not just from session to session. From week to week. From month to month. The hard leg session on Monday leaves a tax that has not been fully paid by the time you're back under a bar on Tuesday. Multiply that across six sessions and you are walking into every workout pre-fatigued. The first casualty is your high threshold motor units. The fibres with the most growth potential. The ones recruited only when the muscle is fresh enough to call on them with real load. Train under accumulated fatigue and those fibres never get touched. You're left stimulating the lower threshold fibres you maxed out years ago. Two rest days a week should be the bare minimum for anyone training hard. Three is better. Four sessions of about an hour each is not the maintenance protocol the high-volume crowd will tell you it is. It is the optimal dose for a natural lifter who wants to actually grow. Four hours of lifting a week. Four. That's it. The best physiques in your gym are almost always built on less work than the worst.
