Let’s talk about RIR, or reps in reserve. I... felt like I could get 1 more at 4 reps, yet dug deep and got almost 3 more. If I had Dorian Yates yelling at me, I could have probably gotten 10 more. The issue with these arbitrary rules like RIR and RPE is they don’t account for the mental aspect of lifting. Hence why, since I’m obviously not as smart and awesome as “the science” community and my pro card was a fluke, and I certainly can’t read studies or even the menu at IHOP, I just go until I can’t do another full rep with decent form. Just lost ALL Autopilot, FSD, even basic cruise control... and Tesla Technical Assistance says they can’t do anything and apparently my car needs to go to a service center for a software update even though there are no warnings on the car. I got an FSD strike and the whole system went down. They said they can’t turn FSD back on and forgive the strikes remotely even though they did just that in January 2025 for the California fires. When I drove from Nevada into California back then my 4 strikes disappeared. Even the Tesla Technical Assistance Supervisor (who was very nice) says they have no way to fix the car remotely and it must go to a service center. Unfortunately, now I need to drive over 1000 miles with no type of cruise control or driver assistance at all. There are no warning lights on or anything of the sort. I even did a forced software update via the service mode and my Starlink, plus a few hard and soft reboots and that still did not fix it. Sadly the car is now less safe than it was a few minutes ago. Some Models (like the generally reliable Euro Model) even have a crippling 1-2" of Ice accumulating there. 🧊 To put Ice amounts into perspective: 🧊0.25” – Highly disruptive. Iced roads, scattered power outages, tree and line damage. 🧊0.5” – CRIPPLING. Severe tree damage and widespread, long-lasting power outages. 🧊1” or more – Catastrophic. Infrastructure failure, impassable roads, and weeks-long power outages. ⚠️ This is why this setup is so concerning. This lady was filming these parents who were in... the car line at school 2 1/2 hours before school gets out. She says don’t be like them. But many people said it’s worth not having to deal with the traffic and backup and some parents may work closer to the school and it beats driving all the way back home and then coming back. I have been known to go get in line at the school about an hour before they get out so I can beat it as well. Sometimes I’ll catch up on emails, phone calls and even take a nap.
