Seedance 2.5 is now on CapCut. We’ve been testing... Seedance 2.5 on CapCut, and what impressed us most is how much more control it gives creators. Being able to generate and edit everything in one place makes the workflow feel much faster and more natural. The timestamp-based controls, support for up to 50 references, and video generation of up to 90 seconds are especially useful. We also noticed better multilingual performance, plus viewport rendering and green screen options for more advanced workflows. Definitely a strong update for anyone creating AI video content. If you found this useful, leave a like and retweet it so more creators can discover the update! 🔁 Web: App: #CapCut #Seedance25 #CapCutAI #CapCutDidThatshow more

Alfred Hitchcock on the Vertigo effect: Interviewer: "In Vertigo,... where they’re climbing up the stairs in the tower, there is a very strange effect." Hitchcock: "That effect took thirty years to get. It really did. When I was making Rebecca, I had a scene where Joan Fontaine is supposed to faint. I explained to Selznick I wanted to get the effect of her looking and everything seeming to go far away. Where I got the idea from was at the Royal Chelsea Arts Ball in London on New Year’s Eve. I remembered at a certain time during the evening everything seemed to go far away. And I asked for this effect and they said they couldn’t do it. I tried again about five years later. For Vertigo they tried different effects and finally it was arrived at by a combination of a dolly shot and a zoom lens crossing each other. Dollying in and zooming out. When the head of special effects came to me I said how much was it going to cost. He said $50,000 to put a camera high and take it up and zoom it, because of the enormous rig. I said, ‘‘But there is no one in the set.’’ Why didn’t they make a miniature and lay it on its side? “Oh, I hadn’t thought of that.” So they did it and it cost $19,000." — "Dialogue on Film: Alfred Hitchcock", American Film Institute, 1972show more

Is Google taking initial steps to enhance Street View?... For some reason, Street View seems stuck in technology that feels outdated. I wonder if we'll see such improvements on the product side. Also, note how much better it performs in all aspects compared to Zip-NeRF in their presented material. It offers more details and fewer artifacts. Great work! "LODGE: Level-of-Detail Large-Scale Gaussian Splatting with Efficient Rendering" Contributions: • We propose a novel LOD representation for 3DGS which, unlike previous methods [27, 28, 17], does not recompute the list of used Gaussians at each frame. This allows for acceleration and compaction, enabling the rendering of large-scale scenes even on mobile devices. • We design a strategy to automatically select optimal hyperparameters for splitting LODs, whereas most other methods require manual tuning of hyperparameters for each 3D scene. • To further accelerate rendering, we split the scene into chunks and pre-compute sets of active Gaussians per chunk. • Finally, we introduce a novel opacity interpolation scheme to produce visually pleasing rendering and eliminate artifacts when transitioning between chunks.show more

Pretty human-like hand Beijing-based SynapX will unveil its tendon-driven... OctoH-Hand at WRC. Human-scale in size, the hand uses a hybrid architecture combining fully tendon-driven actuation with direct-drive motors in the forearm. It integrates 28 independently controllable actuators and 23 active DoF, along with tactile sensors embedded in the palm. Interestingly…SynapX is building more than just a dexterous hand. It has also developed a World model(SYNWorld), and a data collection system(OctoSense), creating a loop from data collection to world understanding and policy generation, and finally to real-world execution and feedback. Dreamina Seedance 2.5 has officially launched on Dreamina, the... dedicated AI creation platform by ByteDance. Here are the two major upgrades that caught my attention: 🎬 Up to 50 multimodal reference assets (images, videos, and audio) packed into a single generation. ⏱️ Up to 30-second continuous video generation to enable longer and much more coherent storytelling. When you pair these features with Dreamina's editing workflow, multilingual support, and the complete Seedance ecosystem, it genuinely feels like a huge leap toward production-ready AI video. If you are planning to build with Seedance, Dreamina is undeniably the platform I recommend using. It integrates the entire Seedance family—from Seedance 2.0 Mini all the way up to Seedance 2.5—featuring creator-friendly pricing and serving as one of the most cost-effective official hubs to experiment, iterate, and produce at scale. Less time switching tools. More time creating. #Dreamina #Seedance25 #AIVideo #ByteDanceshow more

🚨 BRAWL STARS HAS DELETED AN OLD TWEET! 🚨... jersus | 🩷 discovered that Brawl Stars has deleted a tweet from the Biodome season for unknown reasons! The tweet contained the official heights of some Brawlers. Luckily after seeing the post from the person who noticed this, I remembered that Brawl Stars used to have a bunch of separate Twitter accounts for different languages. And as it turns out, the tweet was never deleted from those accounts! The link will be posted below! 👀 Why do you think it was removed? Personally, I think they deleted that tweet because some of the information in it doesn't really make much sense. For example, Ruffs shouldn't be that much bigger than Sprout, and Surge is shown as being so much smaller than Kaiju. Based on Surge's release animation, that doesn't seem to be the case in the lore. So it's possible that the height chart was inaccurate or no longer reflected the developers' intended scale for the characters.show more

Quick review after testing Seedance 2 mini! 🎬 ⚡️... It's incredibly fast and costs half as much as the standard Seedance 2.0 (A 15-second generation takes ~300 credits instead of ~600). Perfect for running test shots before doing the final render version. I used the exact same prompt and characters references for both. Here are the main differences I noticed: 📌 Slight inaccuracies in reading the character sheet. 📌 Colors, lighting, and the overall atmosphere lack the sharpness and depth of the standard version, resulting in a noticeably different cinematic feel. 📌 The movement has a bit of a wavy/ripple effect (especially noticeable in the character's eyes). You can see the comparison and if you interested, you can try it out on Kinovi.AI website! ✨ #Seedance2mini #Kinovi #AIanimation #AIVideoshow more

Your ads aren’t underperforming. They’re under-evolving. The internet changes... daily. Trends shift weekly. Attention resets every scroll. But most ad creatives? They’re launched… and left untouched. That’s the gap. What impressed me about Omneky is simple: It doesn’t treat creative like a campaign. It treats it like software. Versioned. Tested. Improved. Instead of “launch and hope,” it uses AI to analyze what’s actually converting then adapts visuals, messaging, and formats based on real performance signals. It’s not about making more ads. It’s about building a system that learns faster than your competitors. Three things I like: – Creative decisions are backed by live data, not opinions. – Iteration happens continuously, not quarterly. – Marketers stay strategic while AI handles scale. This isn’t automation for the sake of efficiency. It’s creative compounding. And in paid media, compounding wins. If your growth depends on ads, this shift matters. Take a look: Would you rather guess what works or build a system that figures it out for you? 👀show more

How much better are the internal, unreleased models at... frontier labs like Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic? We got a glimpse exactly one year ago today, when Google accidentally leaked the “Kingfall” model "Kingfall" was likely an unreleased Gemini 2.5 Ultra-sized model. It was available in AI Studio for only a few minutes but remained accessible through the API for several days At the time, "Kingfall" appeared to be significantly better than Gemini 2.5 Pro at both code generation and creative writing In a recent interview, Sundar Pichai mentioned that Google could have made a better, Ultra-sized Gemini Omni model, but would have had trouble serving it The infrastructure required to serve Ultra-sized models at scale is likely why Google never publicly released models like “Kingfall”show more

MiniMax H3 Instead of sharing the prompts for each... of these videos, I thought it would be more useful to share how I created that prompts. All of the videos were generated with text-to-video. First, find an image with the kind of scene, composition and mood you want to recreate. I used a few YouTube playlist thumbnails as references but Pinterest is also a great place to find inspiration. You can even use your own old or nostalgic photographs. Then upload the image to ChatGPT and ask it to describe the scene. The description it gives you can essentially become your text-to-video prompt. From there, you can generate completely new scenes with a similar composition, atmosphere and cinematic language. You can of course use the reference image directly with image-to-video or as a first frame. But if the original image isn't yours, I prefer using it only as visual inspiration and recreating the scene through text-to-video. This is the prompt I use with ChatGPT: "Describe the scene in this image in English, focusing primarily on what is happening, the characters, their actions and body language, the setting and the overall atmosphere. Also briefly describe the composition, framing, camera angle, approximate lens choice, lighting, color palette and cinematic aesthetic. Keep it concise and scene-focused rather than overly technical."show more

David Papunashvili discussed the workflow behind the Punk Knight... project, explaining how he projected the 2D concept directly onto the sculpt for reference and color matching, and detailing how he used PolyPaint to paint the character. “Before sculpting, I usually gather a variety of references. In this case, however, my goal was to match the concept as closely as possible, so the concept itself became my primary reference. I imported it into ZBrush's Spotlight, which gave me much more flexibility than using PureRef alone. Being able to move, scale, and adjust its opacity directly in the viewport made it much easier to compare my sculpt with the original artwork. Spotlight also lets you sample colors or even project them onto the model, making the painting process much faster.”show more

🤖 Robotic hands are evolving faster than we realize... — and they’re learning to master our world. I find this both fascinating and a little unsettling. At first glance, these robotic hands still look awkward - stiff fingers, clumsy motion. But behind the scenes, every iteration brings: ➡️ Tighter sensors ➡️ Smarter control loops ➡️ Better training on human-designed objects Week by week, they move closer to something astonishing — not imitation, but mastery. They’re learning to grip, twist, and adapt to tools made for our anatomy. And once they reach human-level dexterity, they won’t stop there. They’ll surpass it — steadier than surgeons, faster than assembly lines, tireless and precise. This is more than robotics. It’s the moment machines stop mimicking us… and start outperforming us. How do we redefine “human skill” in a world where robots master it too? #AI #Robotics #Innovation #Technology #Automation #FutureOfWork #Engineeringshow more

You are probably breathing TOO MUCH, which is affecting... your longevity and looks. It probably sounds counterintuitive - more breaths = better, right? No. Today, we breathe shallow, from our mouths, into our chests at a pace that is more to our detriment than otherwise. The average person takes 18-20 breaths per minute, optimal pace being 6-10. This blows out CO2 faster than the body can produce it. Less CO2 means less oxygen reaches your cells, no matter how much air you breathe in. When you chronically overbreathe, your: → Sleep collapses → Skin dulls and ages faster → Cortisol stays elevated 24/7 → Lymph backs up and the face puffs → Lips lose tone and the seal weakens → Forward head posture sets in and the jaw retracts → Tongue drops from the palate and the maxilla narrows → Cheekbones lose support and the midface collapses inward Just from breathing incorrectly. The most ideal way to breathe is: -through your nose -funnelling the air BACKWARDS (imagine directing the air into the lower back region) -in a slowly and controlled manner This is called Back Breathing and you will instantly feel a difference. Breathe less. Live longer. Look better. ⚡️show more

claude fable 5 is live. spawn 5.0 was built... with it: 1,687 prompts, 102 sessions, my job shifted from architecture to judging taste. what we built, each of which would've been at least a month with a whole team on opus: — a from-scratch physics engine (mantle) that rivals rapier, testable in a day as a side thread — clustered froxel lighting: 8 lights to 1,000+ fully dynamic ("it's stupid fast" — creator of threejs) — realtime diffuse GI on webgpu, on your phone (landing in the next update) — million-particle gpu vfx with a shader architecture beyond what unreal and unity ship — mmo-scale netcode plus, for good measure: an (alpha) native ios app. all of it in about a week. all of it running on mobile. and the list doesn't include half of what we shipped — full changelog in the thread below. and the part the benchmarks won't show you: this model has a wonderful personality. it's genuinely funny. i laughed so hard i cried multiple times, mid-physics-rewrite. the genius and the character aren't separate features.show more

NEW: Senior official at the U.S. State Department Josh... Paul has resigned over Biden's failure in the Middle East. In his resignation letter, Paul strongly condemned Hamas before blasting the Biden Administration for failing to put American interests first. “Let me be clear: Hamas' attack on Israel was not just a monstrosity; it was a monstrosity of monstrosities.” “But I believe to the core of my soul that the response Israel is taking, and with it the American support both for that response... will only lead to more and deeper suffering for both the Israeli and the Palestinian people - and is not in the long term American interest.” “This Administration’s response and much of Congress’ as well - is an impulsive reaction built on confirmation bias, political convenience, intellectual bankruptcy and bureaucratic inertia.” “Blind support for one side is destructive in the long term to the interests of the people on both sides. I fear we are repeating the same mistakes we have made these past decades, and I decline to be a part of it for longer.” Wow.show more
