I like the Hammer Strength iso-lateral chest/back machine as... a change-up for lat pull downs. I keep the weight a little lighter. Go for a big stretch at the top (I don't do this on regular lat pull down) but the weight needs to be light enough you can retract and pull the weight down when you transition. If in doubt, don't go for a big stretch at the top and stick with normal lat pull down movement! Stay Stronk!show more

"Think about pulling with your elbows, not your hands." My elbows are attached to my hands. This has been the arrangement for some time. "Imagine your hands are just hooks." Imagining. "Now feel the stretch and visualise the lat spread." Visualising. Bar hasn't moved. "You're not connected to it yet. We'll do some band work first." Brother in christ. It is the biggest muscle in my upper body, it is bolted to my pelvis, and it has one job: pull the arm down. That is its entire personality. Put your hands on the bar. Make the bar go down. Heavy. Don't turn it into a row. The lat has no choice. It's the only thing in there that can do it.show more

Power Rows 🚂 Underrated exercise to help blow up... your deadlift and make your back jacked AF. Here’s me hitting 315×8- focusing on being as explosive as possible. I’ll typically do these as a secondary exercise on deadlift days, after my main deadlift and hip hinge work. Triceps Rollbacks are a tried and true accessory movement... For Bench Press strength Ive been working these back into the mix pretty heavy over the past year or so and have led to some great bench press results. ✔️Rollbacks hit all 3 heads of the triceps, developing KEY elbow extension strength for the bench press. Typically the stronger I get on these, the stronger and more explosive my bench feels as im able to load my triceps better. It’s important to remember when you perform these, that they arent a “skull crusher” - youre literally letting the weight roll back at the bottom and extending up. and he’s right! love me a man of science... 🤓 🍒 : with how i look at it.. the core and the erector spinae muscles.. those that support your lower back.. i think working on these areas consistently is good. even if you don't go as far as doing pilates or things like that.. just the basics! because eventually, if you lose strength on those muscles over time, it puts strain on your spinal discs. so you really have to work on your lower back muscles!show more

This man was driving in stop and go traffic... with wet road conditions. The people in front hit their brakes but he doesn’t hit his at first, he speeds up a little and swerves into the left shoulder lane and the truck with a trailer behind him smashes into the car in front of him causing a chain reaction accident of cars. Some say he might be to blame because he didn’t brake because he was going to fast himself and it didn’t give the truck behind him enough time to stop. Others say no way, he had great defensive driving skills being aware of what was happening behind him. I am constantly looking in my rearview mirror and have swerved many times to avoid being hit from behind. Some nice changes here with one of my students... We've basically been working on keeping the club more in front of the body during the backswing In the "Before", you can see he gets the club a little flat at lead arm parallel (P3), & the arms are really deep. This created a lot of over draws from a ball flight perspective So we worked on getting the takeaway feeling more outside & trying to hinge the club as vertical as he can at lead arm parallel (P3) This has helped him keep the club more in front of him.
